@@shuway9422 LOL two completely different styles of bikes. FXS is pretty much an electric supermoto. Livewire is like a sportster/cruiser, not ideal for hooligan stuff, offroad or wheelies.

@Ben_419 depends how you run it like anything else and I mean, people often just use reddit to complain. If it's true though yeah that's kinda weak. I have an EV and the range depends a LOT on how hard you hit the pedal, just like a gas car. I'd imagine the majority of people with electric bikes can't help but take off like a rocket ship. How could you not want to with all that torque? I suspect that the more street-oriented their bikes are, the more efficient they are on the road. I think Livewire bikes are better at holding true to their range. Just from what I've heard about them.

I too am obsessed with Zero. I'm leaning toward getting an SR to supplement my daily driving to get my feet wet into the EV world before getting a Tesla in a few years. I've recently been researching Sur Rons so I knew what you were looking at drag racing the FXS. lol

There’s the Zero and Livewire the only two I know that do high performance electric motorcycles. Those are clearly a step above e-bike. I’d classify the surron as an e-bike just by its size and small light weight design. Sure it’s fast but nothing compared to the zero

that bike is crazy!! i've ridden a stock surron and for me that's already more than enough power. Riding the stock surron was crazy. Can't even imagine what the zero FXS is like to ride.

Fifteen seconds into the video and I know the FXS rider is doin' it right with a 3.3kW charge module on the tail.

Bought a new FX back in March... Absolutely love it! The acceleration will always put a smile on your face. I've left liter bikes in the dust. Couldn't imagine wheeling it tho... thought the motor would struggle more lifting that guy's giant freaking balls of steel

100% agree on the power. I got a 2017 SR for $4,200 with 4,200 miles a few months ago. It is sick! I ride on Custom with 100% regen, 80% torque limited to 85mph because zoom-zoom. Lol

New channel name bout to be Zero FXster 👀 I’ve always been interested in a FZ-07/09 or a supermoto. But I love the Sur Ron. I think Zero is the logical next step.

I had the FXS real world range at 50mph is only 45 miles, I had a 20m each way commute and initially work let me charge whilst I was working, so it was great, I could race cars and have fun, but then they stopped me and I had to watch my speed, so 30-50mph I was getting home on limited power and only a few miles left, any diversions on the way home and I would be in trouble, so I had to sell in.....no one wants to buy them :( Im in the UK

was it your first time on a full size motorcycle ? you do definitely get this adrenaline rush the first time you open the throttle even if it's a learner's motorcycle like a 50hp 500 twin. I've always love big singles 500-600cc with lots of torque and lightweight. my Honda XR 600 Supermotard was probably the closest you can get to a zero Fxs with same weight and power but I would love to try the fxs with zero rpm instant torque and constant pull in single gear from 0 to 85mph I just. don't know how I could stay safe with it, my fiat 500e already makes me drive like a maniac with it's 111hp/3000lbs

Clearly the Zero is a step up from e-bike classification. It’s a fully fledged electric motorbike. Even the Surron would be considered an E-bike just by its size alone. The zero on the other hand is on another level.

I really want to try a zero. It's a shame they are expensive, but relatively speaking, they aren't that bad. The biggest thing holding back the -$10k models imo is the range, otherwise I feel it'd be totally worth the price

I had asked a luna cycles employee if the storm bee would be sold through dealers in the states and they said not likely. So hopefully i can/we can just order straight from them.

I just got rid of my zero fx because I only ride offroad and the zeros are more street oriented. The ergos and weight of the zero make it too heavy for trail riding but it is possibly the best commuter if you have less than 30miles each way for work. Surron on the other hand is the ultimate tight single track weapon. I was on the same 1st batch as you with the EMB controller and its been great after sorting out a strange issue on mine but im at 9kw max with 60v and never run more than 7kw for the trails at 350-380phase amps but have done an mx track at 9kw and 410phase and needed more lol

@@Eatcrow yea, I wish more people reviewed them that werent from streetbikes or first time dirtbikers to know what proper enduro/dual sport feels like and the new ones looked very similar to the old ones(swingarm and plastics looked similar) but they really grew alot. I remember watching live footage of them at the vegas mini moto as well as the magazine reviews when they first came out and were similar to surron being a cross of dirtbike and bicycle but after 2013 they we just a big commuter and only worked well as a sumo hence why the fxs is their best seller of the fx models
