As a lover of “all things SuperMoto”🤪, and because I use my SuperMoto for short errands and/ or just a quick fun ride, this is the most attractive electric motorcycle to me so far. Yes at the present it’s expensive, but increased production volume can help to bring costs down in the future. 47 years of riding over 13 different brands of motorcycles, and I can honestly say it’s rare for a new bike to be completely problem free, be they Japanese or European in manufacture 😉.

Hi Spicy, any bike or car can have teething problems. It's how the dealer responds to them is the main thing. I bought a brand new BMW M5 in April 2019 and 3 days later I went to it and it wouldn't start due to an immobiliser fault, then a week later an engine light came on due to a faulty sensor then a month after an abs sensor and the radio stopped working and had to have a new unit 😂😂😂. It's been fine since then and Williams were fantastic, they collected it each time and left me a car each time. I'm sure they did it on purpose so my wife got to drive an X6 m sport because the week later she had one in her side of the garage 😂😂😂👍👍

From my experience, deer 🦌 are more likely to jump out on my gas bike. My 2020 Zero FXS doesn't startle them one bit, but come by on my M109r (or any of my previous gas bikes) and they get startled by the sound and they will jump out. Now, the drunk girls on the weekend downtown in a college town... They'll jump out in front of you.

Big supporter of electric vehicles especially for enduro, hoping to one day for them to be more affordable. It's a shame that it's had some issues but for anyone thinking that a fault with a new bike is isolated to electric vehicles, I'm a tech at a premium brand motorcycle retailer, and we once had a new bike come in with a loud rattle. Literally not even had a mile put on it. Turns out that the gudgeon pin circlip had failed. The bike ended up having a new engine. Sometimes charging issues on electric vehicles are a result of a non existent logged fault the electronics control unit that requires a system reset.

The only thing that is stopping me getting one is the price. I actually have a full bike licence but don't need to go 160mph or travel 100s of miles in a day. My ebikes are good but not really fast enough for the road and not even legalifi go over 15.5mph. 80mph is ok on a bike tbh, I had a xv535 that did 110mph just about but was so uncomfortable and inefficient at anything over 75mph that after the obvious initial testing and fun speed runs I rarely went much faster than 80mph . I think efficiency is going to play a much bigger role in electric bikes as we progress the difference in range at highway speeds compared to town is massive, Aerodynamics is going to have to be addressed to fix this which means looking at airflow over the rider aswel as the bike, but enclosing the rider would definitely take away from the riding experience.

I assume he is talking about the stuff built into the bikes you have to pay to unlock. I talked about that over a month ago here kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZWitmMWrkc_UlNo.html around the 7min mark. I do not think this model has any of that as and the quick charger is a separate device. In short, the practice should be illegal and when you are already on an uphill battle getting people to like electric bikes, it's like throwing a boulder in front of yourself.

These shouldn't be compared to 125s or electrics with similar performance in price, the fact they can be ridden on a CBT is just a technicality. And comparing the price of electric versus gas is a bit like comparing the price of a digital camera to a film one. For similar basic performance a digital camera is going to be way more expensive but it's understandable why and no one that isn't a luddite boomer is going to argue that it's stupid for digital cameras to be so much more expensive, and people also accept that digital has its advantages.
