How he can hedge 1.4 billion worth of shares by shorting an index with 20 million .. I dont understand this part .... Options trading is mainly to hedge our portfolio.... Most of my friends trade options just for the premium price change and they get out of it once they get it .... I dont get it sister ... do explain me

Strategy is simple. Only applies if you have minimum holding of the lot size of a particular stock. For example if the lot size of Infosys is 100 in F&O. You are holding 100 shares of Infosys. But you are worried that infy may go down. You go and sell an OTM call you collect a premium. Then you go ahead and buy a put for same price so the cost of the put is covered by the call options premium. Only applies if you are a big investor. And you think your stocks is likely to go down. You’ll not loose money here. But your upside is capped so is the downside. It’s not a genius strategy.

Without real life example it is all theory and the upside is capped

My entire portfolio is based on pure "ZEROSUM" game with complete protection of "NON ZEROSUM" strategy in Pure Investment. But I don't use any Option Strategy". Still my upside is UNLIMITED & downside is POSITIVE forever after a threashold of single cycle transition of any stock from 5DMA to 200DMA, AND AFTER THAT SKY IS THE LIMIT. 😍

It's good information, but you shouldn't equate trading to gambling because many people still think trading is just gambling rather than a legitimate business.

Still over 90% of retail people are option buyers..

In this strategy the stock holder gets no appreciation in the value of his shares.because he sold call options.
