This movie is part of a project I am making called "Desperately Seeking Zenyatta" (link: home.php?#!/p...
It details my vacation to Hot Springs, Arkansas to see the Apple Blossom and Arkansas Derby horse races. I have been following and photographing the undefeated champion mare as she prepares for a bid to tie Citation and Cigar's unbeaten 16 win streak.
I am an artist and aspiring fiction and turf writer. I use my pictures as inspiration for drawings, paintings, and stories. I have been making art and writing stories since I was old enough to hold a pencil, and have been following horse racing for nearly as long. I grew up in the Louisville, KY area and the Kentucky Derby was a major event. I love all types of horses and horse sports, but Thoroughbred racing is my favorite. Zenyatta is my favorite horse still racing; other favorites are Ruffian, Forego, and Kelso.

To anyone that thinks horse racing is cruel to the horses watch Zenyatta she loves to run and race and she knows the difference when its just a workout or if a full on race time
I have Zenyatta and cosmic one Breyer horses who else has those too Breyers? Zenyatta my favorite race horse.
This is so awesome. My horse does this dance too when we're done working and it's funny cause she is pretty closely related to Zenyatta. :) Loved this clip, thanks for sharing.
Moonwalker, you will be happy to know that Zenyatta taught all her best dance moves to her second son, Ziconic. He likes to get a bit of boogyin' in before he heads out for his daily gallop at Belmont. He's got his Mom's Boogie Shoes!

@dancingbrave24 uh....No but these ladies where very excited weren't they! Make yourself seem just a little smarter and don't generalize. You have just the same amount of Americans who don't say a word and are calm. This video in my opinion is just pure excitement......annoying to me but you can't blame them......Zenyatta is a very special horse. It's not all about her wins ....they or more like "we" love her personality and spunk. Btw where are you from?

I heard from someone who is a horse trainer, that the Horse is not dancing just loaded up on anabolics.
Look at her tongue -this is a classic sign of distress.

Get real. It's because of the bit in her mouth.
This horse is not dancing, she has a condition called tying up! No one cares though as long as the fans are happy and the money is pouring in. I hope she does not end up lame or put to sleep! Damn greed! What a beautiful animal.
People who race horses the epitome of slavers. Zenyatta is not prancing from joy, she is trying to get her tongue out and over the bit and chain in her mouth. She can barely breathe, can't you tell that she is in distress? She is not collected while she walks, this is not fun and she is not dancing as you put it. Horses don't let their tongues loll out of their mouth while they are playing, they are not dogs! This is scientifically showing that Zenyatta is not breathing properly.
