The Zenith defy range is low-key underrated, albeit a bit oversized. Still, it would get money over a Hublot or RM any day, they even have a fusseé and chain model, tourbillons and the such for less than a 3 handed RM.

An incredible watch movement and ceramic is beautiful. The carbon fiber case takes this to another level.

Very good review!! Thank you for this. How durable it the ceramic case? Love this Defy El Primero 21 but have heard horror stories about people shattering ceramic cases. Could this be a daily driver?

Loving this watch - just taken a closer look at the ceramic black ops version. Wears like a charm and looks like something beamed back from 200 years in the future. The titanium with blue worked skel dial is also a stunner. Only downside is that the price is way up there now but there’s a lot of research engineering going on. Lovely strap options. I’ve also noticed that the ‘Zaytona’ chrono sport has shot up in retail price a good grand. Hublot and Zenith now have shared DNA and design elements, Hublot even share El P movements. Great watch!

Great movement and I like the case but I do find legibility a issue with most of the skeleton dial Zeniths. I think rose gold hands and indices would help or maybe I just need reading glasses.

Came for the El Primero, fell in love with your beautiful Speedmaster instead

I've had mine from the time it was launched. I have the steel and it looks nowhere as good as this ceramic. The watch wears BIG. The original rubber strap felt like junk so I changed to leather. It's a very cool piece.

Wasn’t this 1/100th of a second mechanism originally developed and used by TAG Heuer and then borrowed by Zenith for this line of watches? Both brands are part of the same group.

Good question, I know a lot of the Defy Lab stuff was TAG based, both brands are part of LVMH group
