I was also looking into this Zendure 2000 unit. I'd buy it if one of my three current units fail on me. I'd mostly use it for home backup, so the lower charge cycles of NMC batteries don't matter to me. Zendure has an app to control the charging rate and limit 100% charging, so I love that.

That's a heck of a unit. Have you tried rigging up a bicycle charger system? It would be cool to see how that works and how much charging you can do. I'm interested in solar but I don't know electric systems at all and it's confusing to me. I'd love to see a system where you can buy as many panels as you want, you plug them into each other in a daisy chain system, then a simple plug into some kind of converter box and plug into your wall.

I just bought and received the Zendure 1500 version (lifepo) and out of the box I'm already having issues (will not hold a charge, still at 0% after all day charging and app is very clumsy). I reached out to support but since it's the weekend I will have to wait until Monday or Tuesday to hopefully hear from them. I will report back right here if I get the help I need (or not). It's actually not that heavy, about 40lbs that I don't think the telescoping handle is necessary (I'm a petite female) but still a nice touch! This is one of the main factors why I bought this over the others but now that I have it, I'm not so sure if it was worth the premium. I still do like it though, now just waiting to see if I got myself a lemon.

I live in South Africa, rolling blackouts have been our reality since 2008. We have up to 4 and half hour periods but usually just 2 and half hour periods. So we are used to this. We use rechargeable both solar and electric potable LED lights. Also a small UPS for internet, power banks for devices. Cooking we can easily do outside over fire or hot charcoal, because we have the weather. It's actually nice having no power because we eat by candlelight some nights and everyone talks stays off their phones. It's actually something you get used to quickly, it's not so bad. But without heating in Europe it's going to be tough.

That price is fully justified by the fact that is relatively easy to move. But for the same price I would easily go for an hybrid inverter and a 10Kw batteria. Maybe It's going to be around 300-400$ more but x5 stored power. But still very good for a bag out

They are nice to have, no doubt about that, but for the money you are nearing a generator though. Granted you are not going to get a full house generator, 18kw is roughly 15k, but you can easily get something that will keep up with more than 1 appliance for 24 hours.

😮😮I may be good to combine one of these with a gas generator. Make this much like a sub-station keeping it loaded as needed by a gas generator. This seems to me to allow the gas generator to be optimized in it’s use of gas. You would only be running the gas generator to top off the electrical battery system.
