It's 2022 and I'm living in Vietnam. The treatment GS is available named Aino, distributed by Freecat FIP Vietnam for anyone who has cat suffering from this horrible disease. I adopted 4 cats and never though any of them would get FIP so I never looked into this. Until 2 months ago when I picked up a stray kitten and she has strange symptoms that the local vets can't understand. And FIP is the only last vague diagnosis that we should try out. So I read bunch of things online only to learn that the medicine is not for commercial use so to obtain it would be tricky AND EXPENSIVE. For a 12 weeks, in Vietnam, I estimated spending about $2000 including the medicine and the supplements to protect the kitten's kidney and liver during treatment. But we decided to continue fighting and giving her a chance to live well and beginning treatment for 9/84 days now. I can see she has clear progress. So yeah, crossed finger. I do hope one day soon treatment is made available worldwide for easy access.

In August 2020, when my kitten, Tom Petty, was suffering from severe neurological issues (before we had the diagnosis of Dry Neurological FIP) this video was the first that I found that sent me into a online trail of resources and knowledge that ultimately helped me save his life. All veterinarians recommended euthanasia once we got the diagnosis. But thankfully for my research, and this information shared online, we had the courage to fight against all odds. We started the treatment through FIP Warriors in September 2020, and he was cured as of March 2021. Today, he is cuddled beside me, as happy and as healthy as can be. I just wanted to say thank you. This video saved my cat's life, and in a way, this video saved mine.

FIP Warriors has been amazing. I connected with someone locally and got a starter supply today. Now....I need to work up the courage to do it. I HAVE to. His life depends on it.

I found a little black Chantilly Tiffany on an on-ramp in Iowa. Put her in my truck and she had a large growth on her chest. We headed to Texas and she was seen by a Vet. She weighed 3 1/2 lbs. A couple days later I got her home to New Mexico. After a few more Vet visits and my wife taking great care of her and giving her a lot of love, we lost the battle. On her last visit the Vet said she was pretty bad and had FIP. We had Lucy for 3 weeks, and although we have two other amazing cats, Mr.Buddy and Baby Girl, that little Lucy will always have a place in our hearts. She was a Princess. They said she was 8-12 years old. We gave her comfort and warmth for her last 3 weeks. We truly loved her.

Although I lost my cat to this disease, I am really happy that a cure may be on the way to put a stop to this horrific disease and save the lives of many cats who are suffering. Having gone and witnessed the frightening symptoms of FIP, I certainly hope that no cat would ever go through that nerve-racking experience ever again. This video provided me with a glimpse of hope. Edo Ahmad Thsnk you for sharing. FIP is truly horrific and as you wrote, anyone who encounters it is changed forever. Smokey and the other cats who are FIP Survivors prove the researchers are on the right track. We just need to raise enough money to bring a cure to everyone.🐾

My sweet adorable Balinese kitten of 14 weeks is having symptoms of wet FIP. It is so heartbreaking . She deserves to have a life , but we know it will be short. Right now she is sleeping on my lap and I feel so sorry for it. We live in Toronto, Canada and there is no centre here for treatment. Her belly is so swollen but the rest of her is skin and bones.

My kitten, which is 16 weeks, was diagnosed with FIP today. I am devastated. I pray for a cure.

I am sorry you had to join this group of humans that knows about FIP. We all grieve differently but my hope is that when the time is right, you will open your heart and home to another kitten/cat or 2. At least for me, it helps deal with the loss/pain.

This comment is 3 years old but I still wanted to reply because I get the feeling, unfortunately. I adopted a 4 month old Maine coon mix from a shelter, the most loving kitten I've ever had, she was so pretty and was getting big. Unfortunately, I could only live with her for 1 month. She was so happy when I first got her, running around the house playing with everything, sitting in my lap. But by the 2nd week I saw symptoms of her not being able to breath, I took her to the vet and after one week of fighting it was concluded that the disease was FIP and to my surprise it was incurable. I gave it another shot at another vet the next week, but every day I saw how my loving kitten got worse and no longer wanted to play or eat. She had so much liquid in her lungs that heart could no longer be seen in the x-rays. By the 4th week I had to put her to sleep. I cried. Something I haven't done in such a long time. Even if it was for a month a bond was made, so I get how it feels to lose something you love so fast. Sorry, I know no one asked me to share this story but I felt I needed to write this to let someone out there who goes through the same thing to know that it feels terrible, but you're not alone. Time will help and saving another feline friend will help as well. Thanks for the time.

I am a Dutch man living in Bali... Having resqued at least 120 cats from roads/garbage places/ricefields in the last 30 year I sadly got into FIP as well... Just lost one to wet fip, now have one with dry fip. Love the way your house is done. In the climate here, cats live indoor/outdoor...they walk around free... Indeed a horrible feeling seeing a cat one loves, fading away.

My cat has wet FIP. Now is on GS Capella. She start eating on day 3. The belly fluid is completely gone within 12 days. She start to play & run again on day 31. 6 week more to go. 🙏🏼. Positive result so far. The treatment cost is super expensive, even I struggle to buy, what I can do there is no more option for this disease. Put to sleep or watch your love one dying slowly or go with this treatment it’s your choice.

My sashimi put the sleep last Sunday. Im very heartbroken because I never thought he has fip before I adopted him 2 months ago. He was almost 9 months old. I checked website and KZread about what’s fip mean. I loved by my sashimi all my heart

My cat who has been my best buddy for 16 years was deemed perfectly healthy just 3 weeks ago. He suddenly got ill recently. Its most likely either cancer or FIP and I'm probably gonna have to put him down soon.. Breaks my heart to see him go from jumping on the table to not being able to climb stairs so incredibly fast..

Helping cats cross the bridge is the hardest part of letting them into our homes and hearts. I am sorry for what you are facing.

I just found this video, we adopted a 12 week-old shelter kitten who seemed to have crackly lungs and the vet reckoned it was cat flu. Sadly she went badly downhill and it turned out she didn’t have flu, but effusive FIP which filled her lungs with fluid and was trashing her bowel too. We only had her 11 days and we are devastated at what seems like such a senseless waste of life. I truly hope a treatment can be made available, we would have paid anything to save our little girl. Horrible, horrible, disease.

we had a kitten that got FIP … it started with sneezing … then he got skinny with a bloated belly. We gave him bone broth, probiotic, vitamin D, Iodine in his food. He got better for a few days and then went bad quickly.

Oh my god . I feel so sad for you . I can understand it's so heart breaking situation for you . I also have two cats their name is kitty and pussy . They so much precious thing for my life ever. They are not my pet bcz they are my family now. My mom dad loves them so much . My mom loves them more than me and my sister 😊. And if something will happen with them it's so much sad for us we just can't except this . So I can feel you 😢. My cats will going to 1 year this fabuary 1 . They are two brothers. We brought them from street when children were torture them. I am live in Bangladesh it's so hard to pet them like a baby in my country bcz my country not so much like animals 😣😑. My beloved Suzanne passed away five years ago, and I still grieve. When I was twelve, she and her two siblings were found by my aunt in a crate in a forest. She was black and shy, so no one wanted to adopt her. Instead, I took care of her. I spoiled her, let her sleep with me every night, and she loved me unconditionally like no one else ever did. Her passing broke my heart, and I still can't get over it.

My vet refuse to diagnose FIP since its so hard to do so unless you do an autopsy even if some symtoms was FIP but my cat had good medical values. I cant understand how some vets say that it´s FIP if they haven´t a clue. My cat did have antibodies against the coronavirus but my cat have become to recover with cortisone treatment but he is still under care from us and the vets. I live in sweden so i don´t know if there is a difference how you diagnose cats from other parts of the world.

My 5 month old was diagnosed on Saturday with fip. She is my emotional support pet. I am devastated!!!!

There are knowledgeable people on that site who can help you get the right tests to confirm FIP (misdiagnosis is not uncommon) If FIP is confirmed, they can also help you decide what palliative medicines that are available are right for you. My 3yo died yesterday gasping for air. It was devastating. Right as I was trying to put her in the carrier to go to emergency vet. My heart is broken into pieces. Thank you for caring, you're right "it changes you." Aww Miss Bean was truly an angel. They know even through painful shots that you love them.

Did your cat get FIP at 3 , or did he have it as a kitten and it turned into the bad kind? What were his first symptoms?

This is so beautiful, My new kitten has just today been given a suspected Dry FIP diagnosis and I am beyond devastated. For now, despite being blinded by her condition, she seems happy, comfortable, and in relatively good health, all things considered. I hope I have ample time to give her all the love she deserves

I’m currently sitting with a very sweet FIP kitten on my chest. (His name is Onyx) This video is the first I’ve been able to breathe and feel happy that I am not alone in what this feels like. Thank you for making this and for giving us hope that this won’t keep happening forever, because a treatment is possible for future lives. Onyx is content and loved until the doctor sees him one last time. Thank you for giving me a little more strength to keep going.

Thank you for this video. You are an amazing human. I am bawling my eyes out wishing I can do something for one of our rescued kitten Bernard. He is losing his battle. I am going to put him to sleep tomorrow because I want to save him more and worse suffering that is there yet to come. I am broken. I have a small cat sanctuary and I save 70 cats from the street. Bernard was one of 4 kittens that I saved last year from a terrible condition of living in a junkie house. Now, I am scared the others will have the same illness. Thank you for all you do. @@ZenByCat I investigated about this cure here in Canada in my area (Ontario) and I could not find anything. I put him to sleep yesterday. We never were officially diagnosed with FIP but he had all the symptoms for dry FIP. I had to do so many tricks in order to make him eat and I had to force feed him too. He was skin and bones. He did not even want affection in the past few days. We went for a last chance vet visit but we came home with him euthanized. We buried him yesterday. We are totally broken and I am in a kind of shock. Believe me, we deal with death amongst the cats we rescue often, but Bernard was a very special boy, so kind, highly intelligent and sensitive. His sadness in his eyes and the broken face will never leave me. He deserved so much more. The world is so indifferent and cruel. I cannot take it.

My kitten 3 mnths old did survive frm FIP.... I almost lost her.... It took 2 weeks continuous Iv fluids and antibiotics.. I really thank God she is lonely survivor In 6 kitties....

We husband and I lost our 5 1/2 month old kitten to wet FIP last Tuesday. We only had him a month and he was gone 13 days after he first started showing symptoms. My husband and I are trying to bring awareness to this horrible disease so we are so happy we found your organization. Keep doing what you’re doing!

I lost my kitten Luna of 7months Thursday just gone at 22:00 hours. It came to massive shock to me as well as she’s an indoor kitten. She went down hill very quick, she could even lift her head up anymore and her breathing was so shallow. I couldn’t let her suffer anymore, so we decided it was time. Honestly the pain and grief is too much to describe and there’s no words to describe how I’m feeling seeing her die

Was great meeting you as well. I am a strong believer in the healing properties of marijuana and am happy a way was found to make it safe for cats. I look forward to trying it when it is available in Santa Barbara.

I just lost two kittens to FIP. One died in my arms and the other at the vet. I never heard of FIP in my life, even though I grew up with cats. My heart is shattered. Living in South Africa, I doubt any research will happen here 😥 💔

I know its devastating have nightmares since 2012 over my cat getting disease, I want to volunteer to mind cats to try and heal.

I am so sorry for your loss. As for your other cats in the house, please be assured that FIP is NOT contagious. The underlying Corona virus is but this is harmless and 90% of all cats have this common cold virus. In 2-3% of cases (usually kittens and older cats) this virus goes through several mutations that turn it into FIP. Your other cats have the same low chances of getting FIP as any cat. Climber, chocolate, secret, professor, donut, miss bean, smokey, vanilla... etc, I like them all.

I lost my cat to (earlier) undiagnosed FIP in a horrific way. He was 6 years old and died in the vet's office after suffering pulmonary oedema caused probably by really high stress level during blood drawing attempts. It's a horrible disease and I hope one day we will be able to cure it.

My cat was diagnosed with FIP too. I noticed he was not active, thought it was just a fever.. he’s been fighting for 3 weeks now. I was advised to put him on FIP treatment here in Malaysia but I dont want him to suffer. Aside from his medication, I also fed him with fresh coconut water every day. He’s still not active but he eats 3-5 times a day. Did follow up check up, no more fever but his breathing is still little bit off but doc was happy to see his improvement

They know how to cure FIP. They just need more funding to bring a cure to market

I have 13 cats , 2 of my kitten (jingga 5 months & cherry 2 months )was diagnosed with fip about 2 days ago ,tomorrow i will take some of my other babies to vet for fip test , my heart is broken ,i feel so sad..., i hope all of my babies can be survivor from this virus , i almost cant sleep at all ..

I can relate...

I just booked an appointment with my vet to get my cat euthanized. She got diagnosed with FIP just before her 1st birthday. Her birthday was on 4th nov and she got diagnosed on the 1st. She has lost so much weight, has upper respiratory infection, no bladder control and is not able to stand herself now. We have decided to put her to sleep. It is heartbreaking.

I am treating my furry friend with GS injections. He has recovered a lot already. They need to approve these treatments in the usa. 2024 now

i hope my cat survives too i was hoping to have her for 15 years or something,but here we are....2 and a half years old and she is diagnosed with this goddamn disease we've started medication,blood transfer soon and chemotherapy

3 weeks earlier,my baby Donnie was having ear mites attack on both of his ears.so for 2 weeks,ive been cleaning his ears and dripping meds in it.he was actively playing..ate & pooped well and looked healthy.until the 2nd weeks when the ear mites wasnt reducing,i put flea med on his neck after referring to the vet on the suitability according to his weight and age.the next day,he seemed fine..but his nose and left eyes seemed to be infected by ear mites as there were many black wax found usually in his ears there.but later that evening he started to have diarrhea.the 2nd day after that..morning..he still seemed fine..playing with me and eating as usual.however,came evening..he started to wobble.he couldnt walk without falling (like when we have vertigo).so on the 3rd day after the flea med,i brought Donnie to a vet.seeing that one of my cat is currently suffering with a wet fip..and another one with dry fip..the doctor came out with the conclusion Donnie is also suffering from fip. since he wasnt bloating,so he got a dry one.however,ive decided to admit Donnie under the clinic's treatment for nearly a week as i suspected that Donnie was poisened by the flea med.either he was having bad reaction to it or Donnie consumed it from licking his other siblings (yes,hes THAT friendly guy). After a week,i took Donnie home.everytime he ate,he will vomit back everything.and 2 days after Donnie got home from the clinic,hes gone.gone for good. I didnt know that within 3 weeks ur cat with dry fip can be dead?what i know the wet ones will go 1st.3 weeks.was he really with fip?

what happened to your cat ?

It's amazing there was a program you were able to get into. My partner and I have seen they have medications available online that are not technically legal, but I am too afraid of turning my little boy into a guinea pig or causing him unnecessary pain. he doesn't have the support of his vet to try taking it, I wish I knew what to do or how to feel. He's still eating and drinking and going to the bathroom and he seems like he wants to fight but I don't know how to fight for him

Thank you for this video that is done so well. I just lost my Ernie to FIP. I've always been a cat person and had cats, but never heard of this disease. Hi Peter. Here is a clickable link to www.zenbycat.org. Did not see one in the description. Four weeks ago we took in a new kitten named Tucker. He is at best guess 9-12 months old from an abandoned junkyard. Today we found he mostly likely has FIP dry. Hoping for the best that it is a misdiagnosis. Have spent all day researching the virus. Having cats all of my life it is the first time I have heard of it. Thanks for the video. Will spread the word and hopefully get some money to help with the UC Davis Veterinary College research.

Hello Joesemo. I am sorry i have taken so long to reply. Thank you very much for your help in sharing our sites and getting people to sign up for small monthly donations. FIP is truly horrific and the fact that researchers have actually cured kittens of FIP shows a cure is possible. It just needs funding. Thank you again for your help.

Jade Benedik I am so sorry you are facing FIP. Please post about Chloe on Facebook page FIPFighters. There are many knowledgeable people on that site that can help you make sure it is not a misdiagnosis. I wish I had better words for you. We are dedicated to raising funds to help bring the drugs that saved Smokey to all FIP Warriors but that time is still not here 🐾

My kitten passed away a few nights with FIP. He was 7 months old.

My cat has dry form. What kind of medicines did you used? Vet says no cure for it. And more than 2 months Simha (my cat ) is fighting. Still Alive

I apologize for this late reply. The drugs that cured Smokey and the other cats in the trials are not yet available. We continue to fund research to get more drugs in the pipeline and hope a treatment will be available within a few years. I realize that does not help any FIP cat today and wish I had better words.

Love your cat story! I just lost my first and only 5 mo. old kitty to FIP wet. recently. I am grieving still of course but am feeling a fire grow in me to do something about my grief! I want to help the cause! We need to put pressure on the government and FDA to further research and develop effective vaccines and cures through lobbying our officials! It’s a community, and overall quality of life issue. There are too many cats and pet owners suffering from something that should be well handled by now. What movements are doing this now?

Im heartbroken of lost my princess today.. bcause of fip..

is it a definite passing for cats with FIP? my cat got diagnosed 3 weeks ago and I am TERRIFIED to lose him. I don’t know what I would do without my sweet little baby🥺🤍 He is only 1 Year and 3 months old, I’m devastated😞

If this CS .. medicine helps some cats recover from FIP and is an anti viral medicine,. Would organic cold pressed coconut oil help?? Coconut oil us anti viral, anti bacterial and anti fungal. I'm going to try on my kitten who is showing signs of FIP.

I had 2 beautiful full freed British Shorthair kittens. Both from different owners. One 5 months old and the other 6. Unfortunately, today we have had to put our youngest 5 month old kitten down due to FIP. Its one of the hardest things ive ever done. I cannot even grief properly for her as I am now really concerned for the other kitten. They both were indoor cats. Shared the same litter tray. Ate and drank frim the same bowl. Research suggests thats how FIP is contiguous, through the sharing of litter tray. Please can you advise me or put my worries to rest? Is it a guarantee (or a high chance) that my other kitten too will get FIP? The other kitten was diagnosed with the wet FIP.

I am sorry for your loss of your kitten to FIP but please rest assured that FIP is NOT contagious and your other cat has no greater chances of developing FIP than any other cat (1-3%). There is no need to throw out litter boxes or toys, etc. Further, a blood test for the harmless Corona virus has no predictive value for cats developing FIP. I'm from Indonesia and I have 6 cats and i didnt know they all had FIP because of one healthy looking kitten i adopted. The virus spread and stayed quite a while Which we didnt know until a month ago. It turns out one of my kitten had fip but we never suspected it because this kitten, chico, he's extremely healthy looking, very playful and very happy. All my other 4 cats are healthy looking as well and we didn't know. So one time, when my smallest kitten chiki got worst due to a dry FIP, we rushed to doctors a doctors finding what was wrong. One of the doc said she only has a normal cold, a diarrhea, a warm fever, a flu and so on the list doesn't stop at 5 illness. Until chiki, eventually started getting thinner and thinner. We rushed over every doctors in cat clinics in Indonesia. City after city. I had to look for one. Every other doctor look for FIV FIV FIV but never FIP One time her eye had a conjungtivitis (eye line bleeding close to cornea) and rushed to a specific doctor. Got all her blood test, and we asked to get all of disease available to be tested. Then 2 days later she called it was FIP. I was confused how she got the virus because we never let our cats outside or outdoor. We checked the whole 5 other cats All of them have FIP but strangely enough, no one for the past 5 months since adoption had reaction like chiki. The culprit was a healthy cat named chico. The first time we had the blood tested in a kit like a pregnancy test, 2 lines appear just in 2 seconds after the blood had contact. We still have chiki fighting FIP and she hasn't been well but it's been 3 months after she has it. I use Propolis 3800(kept in fridge to keep cool) and ever morning and night 10-12 hours apart, we give one capsule to a 5-6 months old cat to adult cats based on doc's prescription. It really helped my cats but in Indonesia it is really hard to get a single bottle of propolis :') so i was lucky to get af least a dozen. Please check you cat's blood for FIV or FIP when you adopt one. The virus is contagious via body fluid contact. Any other cat with a weaker anti body may fall into horrible reaction. I'm glad to have found your channel though! Will sure to take a look

what happen to your others cat ?

I am a vet and have a lot to do with this disease. I know about a treatment with Tylosin/Prednisolon or Chloramphenicol/Flumethason and even Azathioprin. Some few cats actually got well. Unfortunately there is no garanty that the cat will overcome the disease and you also you have to think of the risk of infecting others. There was even a vaccin called Primucell FIP vet by Pfizer which has been removed from the market. Could you please send me more information on the treatment that cured your cat. Thank you!

Hello Gabriele. I apologize for this late reply. The drug that cured Smokey is called GC376 and is currently in the process of gaining FDA approval and then will be made available for general use. Unfortunately that is still 1-2 years away. While this drug is already available online to purchase, those companies are doing so without permission and with no dosing information available. There are several other drugs also in the pipeline and FIP will be curable. We at ZenByCat are working with other groups to raise the funds needed for more and larger drug trials to speed these drugs to market. www.ZenByCat.org

Hello Ritu. I am very sorry your cat has FIP. Unfortunately, if that is true there is currently no effective treatment available that can stop the progression of FIP. However, I would strongly advise you to post information about your cat, including any blood test results, on the Facebook page FIP Fighters. There are many knowledgable people on that site who can help you confirm FIP. The hope is that it is something else that can be treated. I wish I had better words for you.

I'm so terrified of this disease. I have a cat that is now 4 and he acts like he never feels good. He has lost weight. I figured it is stress , but my Callie is 2 and has had soft stools lately. How can you tell if they have a bloated stomach vs just overweight? What are the beginning symptoms?

My pepper had been diagnosed with FIP or cancer but more to FIP due to her fluid in her belly. I have tried so hard taken her for x-ray to her vet which he diagnosed her first with gastritis. Since it never went away he recommended an abdomen sonogram which they determined it was FIP or cancer from her weight loss. Previous to that I was hoping it was a foreign body in her tummy since she likes to eat plastic n in fact one of her meds was prednisone which I gave her n she vomited plastic particles, hoping it was just that I took her to a veterinarian hospital for n Endoscopy. Unfortunately she was too weak to be under anesthesia so they refused doing one. I'm so broken hearted watching her slowly deteriorating right in from of my eyes. I just feel so useless not being able to take her pain away. I would like to know,, how can I safe my boo boo😻 I also have another cat that my son is looking after because I'm afraid I heard is contagious. I still don't understand how she got it when I'm so careful cleaning their litterbox n she is n indoor 🐈 please tell me theirs hope. 🙏❤️

My cat diagnosed with FIP. I don't have any idea what is FIP(corona virus). Until i ask the doctor and research what it is. I'm very sad on what i found out. My cat is 20months old, last 2weeks ago i bring her to the vet and after 10days medication she's fine and just like nothings happened but now she is starting to vomit again and loss appetite. :(

So so sorry for your loss, same happened to my 3yo.

Is the medication that cured the cats available yet? I have an 8 month old cat that is very small and thin for his age that is showing signs of FIP (the vets aren’t sure yet what he has). He’s been prescribed steroids and a strong antibiotic but I love him very much and don’t want to see him go, he still has so much of his life left to live

My 4.5 years female cat is showing symptoms of wet FIP. But I am not 100% sure about this due to lack of proper healthcare system for cat and dogs in my country . She has stopped eating and drinking. Her vet prescribed loop diuretics, such as Lasix (furosemide), antibiotic, vitamin supplement, subcutaneous fluid to stay her alive. She has become so skinny. She is my first pet. I am feeling so helpless. Please can you suggest me anything that would make her to feel better?

lost my 6 cats to this horrible disease.. they had wet form fip ...when my first cat was diagnosed and i remember doctor saying we will still try ! miracles do happen !! i was devastated... and couple of days later my cat miku and myo died 😶 and two days later another her name was lily and again after two day molnin died and again after two day arty and silo died on same day 😭😭😭😭 and all of them died in my lap and i was so helpless couldn't do anything but wanted to do everything,, i didn't know what to do except watching them die😭😭😭😭😭😭 now momo is also infected 😶

I’m soo sorry for your loss. 😔. I too just lost my cat due to this horrible and painful disease 3 days ago. I am beyond devastated and traumatized with how much pain my baby endured during his last days. Were your babies vaccinated?

FIP is a monster. I lost a kitten in the late 90's to fip. I just lost my 5 year old, Rosie, to what the vet thinks was fip. She stopped eating one day and appeared a little bloated. Long story short, the vet operated and found her liver very diseased. We put her to sleep that day. So sad! How will this affect my other cats if Rosie really had fip? I have 7 cats, from 3 1/2 to 9 years old. All indoor. All very healthy. This whole thing is freaking me out. Will they all get fip and die? Omg!

Cindy Momjian I am very sorry you have had to deal with FIP. It is truly horrific. However, once the common Corona virus mutates into FIP, it is no longer contagious. Your other cats have the same odds ( roughly 2% of all cats are lost to FIP ) as any other cat. Smokey went through 11 weeks of experimental treatment while living with our other 21 cats and there were no issues. I understand the fear but the science is clear on this. We will end FIP. www.ZenByCat.org

I highly recommend you join the facebook group FIPFighters and post all the details about your kitten. There are many knowledgeable people on that site who will help you know what tests to ask for and how to rule out other disease. Sadly, if the diagnosis ultimately is FIP, there are no cures available yet. There are many palliative medicines that will help your cat feel better but do nothing against the FIP. This is a highly debated subject and I am only sharing my views.

Yes this is the awful truth, FIP can´t be treated or healed so far, unfortunately!!!

Did your cat survive?

My 3 month kitten got FIP they tried taking out the fluids from her stomch but told me i would have to put her down if i dont want her to suffer and feel so hopless not being able to take her to different vets because i cant afford it

Hi All, I have a 4 month old male cat named " Maverick ". He is super friendly, and loves everyone, including my 6 adult cats. He started getting bloated about a month ago at 2.5 months old,, and the vet treated him for worms. He progressively became more bloated and today was diagnosed with FIP based on liquid taken from his swollen abdomen. He is very alert, playful, and eats like a pig. Is there any chance he has a different condition ? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks :)

I recommend you post test results of your cat on Facebook page FIP Fighters. They have knowledgeable people who can help you confirm diagnosis and if FIP, they can help you determine if any of the palliative treatments available are right for you. Tag me in your post as well

Is he still alive ?

My 8 month old kitty has coronavirus, the gastrointestinal form. I am scared he will develop FIP, at times he pants and has coughing fits. It is depressing to see all comments are from people's who's cats have passed and knowing my kitty is going to end up the same. I am heart broken.

NB nearbear testing positive for the Corona virus has no value in determining if your cat will undergo the multiple mutations that change it into the deadly but non contagious FIP. 90 % of all felines have been exposed to the Corona virus but only 1-3% develop FIP.

@@ZenByCat I hope you are right. I also like to add that I am in awe of your home. It is beautiful and a cats paradise. I absolutely love what you have done and wish my husband was savy like you so he could build something similar on a smaller scale for my kitty, he would love it.

I have a cat named BB. She's the only kitten left. My 9 cats died suffering from FIP. They died within a week 2 or 3 cats die per day which is horrible. Until now BB is fighting for her life and we really don't quite know how to treat her. Our vet suggested peaceful death, but we can't do that. I know BB wants to live it is obvious. It's just that we need knowledge and right intervention to help her. I hope you notice us, wee need your help ,😔

did u isolate the others cat when one of your kitten positive FIP ? cause I have three cats , one is diagnosed with FIP and the doctors said that she's been through this diseases for two month and we were late to know that . So , we decided to do blood test for the other two cats , and its negative . For now , I isolate them but I.ve seen some blog that , we don't have to isolate unless their has inheritance background . I would like to hear from you , thank you ;)

There is absolutely no medical reason to isolate FIP cats from other cats in the house. FIP is not contagious. Our cat Smokey was treated for FIP for 11 weeks while living with our other 21 cats.
