The thing that is most impressive to me about zen is how he recovers in awkward situations. The more lateral spins, the inversions, the perfectly timed altitude changes amidst air dribbles, the chain dashes you name it. He uses it all to change his positioning ever so slightly to stay engaged in the play where most players would concede. Seriously impressive stuff and I hope he sticks around for a while after making a name like this.

No idea why or how you think zen "outclassed him I'm every aspect". Bit of a silly take. It went to game 5. They're quite clearly in the same league. Or "level" as you put it. Neither one "outclassed" the other. It was an even series with zen taking the best of 5. That's it.

Not to be "goalist" as Johnny would say in the Toxiic series, but a bulk of Joreuz's goals just came from patience and waiting for Zen to make mistakes.

Man, zen is kinda redefining the highest level 1s and is pushing the mechanics to the next level. His movement feels different, it's like he has access to more controls than the rest of us. Honestly his car control allows him to make suboptimal decisions sometimes yet go unpunished due to just how quickly he can get back and defend, it's awesome to see someone just try any shot they want without worrying about the counterattack too much. Hopefully this man keeps improving and goes on to have an amazing carreer because it would be a crime for someone this talented not to do very well.

I ignored this series at first until some other YT'ers picked up the topic. I chose this one as my first Zen video. I didn't know the final result. I was pretty sure though that he has to win in order to justify the hype. At the end of game 3 I thought: how is he going to turn that around? At the end I didn't even know what I just witnessed. The mechanical display is so close to perfect. While others make their double flip resets look a bit jank or immediately shoot after the first one, this guy just executes so close to perfection what others can only or cannot even think of. Mad respect! If he keeps improving from this point on then the rest will have a hard time catching up.

honestly i think with these two it’s a matter of who’s playing better at the moment. You can’t really say one is overall better than the other. Weird to see joruez not play bud usual free play style

I'm infinitely more curious in Zen's 3v3 RLCS performance than I am in his 1s mechanics. As we've seen time and time again, high ranked 1s does not ensure RLCS level 3s performance. It can quite often be the exact opposite (1s performance leads to disastrous 3s showings, as the 1s player fails to adapt to 3s, and tries way too hard). RLCS has fully evolved into a team sport. Individual talent alone is no longer enough to carry a team to a win in RLCS. It requires a cracked team with a solid 3s team strategy to win. I look forward to his highlight reels, but I'm very skeptical about how he'll perform as a team, against a strong KC, OXG, and Moist.

This series demonstrated a quality about Zen that we didn't know he had before: ability to deal with adversity. Seems like he has a good mental and doesn't give up! Great series

I’m a Joreuz fan for a long time! But his aerial game seems off nowadays.. In the beginning he really was a mechanical beast. Zen reminds me a little of him! His movement on the ground, but also his free play in the air. I think Joreuz is more calculated now, plays smarter but it’s les fun to watch. I mis the Appjack vs Joreuz days, those games were impressive! At the end Zen earned it! Congratzz
