Ғылым және технология

ZEMAN puts the world’s largest SBA system in operation
SBA2 Conti+
www.zebau.com/index.php?conten...
The STEEL BEAM ASSEMBLER (SBA) is a fully automated equipment to add parts (splice & base plates, joints and stiffeners...) to steel girders.
The assembling and welding process is executed by computer-controlled robots according to CAD engineering drawings - extremely fast and with no errors.
The biggest version of SBA with the most highest production capacity is "SBA2 Conti+" consisting of 4 welding robots, 1 handling robot, automated scanning, loading and un-loading stations...
The next opportunity to see a brand-new SBA line life in operation will be in August 2016.

Also as to a question asked in comments how about a grab tac blast bot then a full weld blast bot leaving only the finished job to be blasted when final coating is required to save time money on multiple blasting or small factory weld up shipped to a blasters coaters factory

Not bad but how about the pieces Grab/ hold bot also tac weld then the weld bot doing full weld why the tac bot has moved further up the beam then while the full bot is finishing the tac bot is preparing for the other face or pieces to be scanned in. You can't do weld faster but you can speed up the stations and job flow.

I wonder how the pieces of I-sections seen at 0:36 and 5:30 are processed. Are they picked up from the flange?

I saw one person on the floor and two in the mezzanine. Years ago the floor would have been crowded with workers making the same products. Automation is where most of the manufacturing jobs went; not overseas. I'm not complaining. I made a pretty good living late in my career (electrician) installing automated systems in a world-class Fortune 500 paper manufacturing facility and a large factory bakery that produced several nationally known brands of bread products. I worked in a medium-sized plastics factory in the early 1970's. Most of the people who worked in that factory then would be unemployable today. Once gone, the jobs are never coming back, no matter what a yellow-haired politician says. I'm retired now, but I'm glad I got to live in a time when people made stuff.

"Automation is where most of the manufacturing jobs went; not overseas" tell that to my family who owned one of the largest aftermarket electrical auto part companies'(alternators, starters, coils solenoids ECT) in the country. Now it's all made in China, not by robots either. CLUELESS !!!

@@nineiron1897 There's lots and lots of robots in China. Clueless? I'm a retired electrician who spent his last years building and installing multimillion dollar automated manufacturing/packagingn systems for a Fortune 500 manufacturing company. It's all automated.
