There's this really dark place in my head that would find it hilarious if Link's magic ran out half-way into swiming through stone-ceilings and was permanently fossilized in-between the rocks.

I mean one could really just think of it as a kinetic energy car battery. As long as he is in motion, he continues to recharge it. Hence why BotW & TotK never had a standard magic system anymore, instead being a stamina bar and its only objects not `attached` to Link that have the energy issue. Granted, it was also the developers faults for daring to put a `time limit` on gliders, so people just became Engineers to figure out whats the minimal need for getting oneself off the ground, which was amazingly just 1 or 2 fans depending on how you arrange things. Just became a matter of minimizing the included structures to minimize battery consumption till you learn to `infinite shenigans it`. That or get thousands of mega zonai charges thru the `usual means` on why people never had auto updates on thar switches. Still a shame that TotK didnt bother to have DLC, atleast it would hae the excuse to RISK updating your game and never able to use most duping methods anymore. Though i could never get the `dropped item` via getting electrocuted one to work.

Seeing the wing shield in place of arrow smuggling made me wonder - did you go with that because it's easier/funnier to portray visually, or did they literally discover arrow smuggling WHILE you were working on the animation? I can't imagine what it must've felt like if it was the second. Waiting to do a speedrun animation until the route is pretty stable, then it gets changed up on you anyway... 😅
