For those of you who don’t have attention spans to make it to the end the video I figured I would just write something really quick for you to let you understand that this game isn’t what you expected is this game isn’t what they thought it was just like when Luke Hamilton Star Wars said this isn’t going to how to and how you think it is it’s pretty much how old is Ryan Johnson Star Wars the last Jedi was actually a disaster. It’s pretty much equivalent to tears of the Kingdom. It’s just Kravitz trash it’s pretty much all I know how to say is like this game sucks so bad and I really wish I could get my $70 back in and use it for something better. Maybe I could go get a massage maybe I could join a gym class maybe I could do there’s so many other things that I could do a $70 instead of just literally throw it away but I guess you live and you learn and if you haven’t bought Zelda tears of the Kingdom yet please just ask me any question the conversation I will advise you and tell you not to buy it because basically all scammed us to try to copy Fortnite and like I said the video if you wanna be like MrBeast don’t be like MrBeast because I have an asked MrBeast to come by doing his own thing being original and basically when the tennis trying to be Fortnite get over it, Fortnite is not on my Nintendo. You gotta figure out your own path and your way now just copy other people to rise to the top.

Let me get this straight. You want a game that is hyper realistic with blood to satisfy your insecurities, along with a game with no challenge, no gravity (you don’t want realistic physics), and the most basic story a man could ask for, all because you don’t like connecting a plank of wood to wheels or using your brain in a creative manner. MM was my favorite.I really like the plot, the music, the atmosphere, the looming presence of the moon, the constant race against the time, and the smaller tragic stories of the people of Termina intertwinned in the bigger narrative, it's genius... But the game is just not fun anymore. It's clunky on so much aspects. I have the version on 3DS, I don't have my old N64 anymore (and I regret ever selling it lol). But even with the QoL improvements the 3DS version brings it's still not that great.

building and fuse are killing this game for me, been playing a good bit and im just sick of the gameplay. its dumb to call this a masterpiece, with the lag, clunk, boring time wasting mechanics.

Totk is a sequel. There’s going to be similarities. Like how red dead redemption 2 is similar to red dead redemption 1, or sonic adventure 2 is similar to sonic adventure 1. In my opinion, totk added way more than I expected a sequel to add. It’s not that often a sequel almost triples the size of the map. Totk also has a new story, way more bosses, more music, and just way more new everything. Also the story is much longer and more detailed than the one in botw.

It was great with open world and stuff like that but that's about the only thing it had going for it., The bosses the dungeons and really just about everything was horrible trash. This game they fix damn near everything wrong with the last one and then some. The dungeons were amazing and visually stunning, the bosses were 10 times better, and the story and just all the crap you could do in the world was a million times better. It may not be the most perfect game but it completely blows breath of the wild out of the water. Because the only thing that game had going for was the world

And that final boss had to have been possibly the greatest most fun final boss in the history of Zelda. So if you want to hate on it that's fine but don't talk like you know anything about it. Tbh i got a early 2 week copy on pc... its not that good and he makes good points. Why wait 6 years to tease a good trailer and game. Banjo meets fortnite zelda isnt what i wanted.. and its not worth $70. I waited 6 years for dlc. And tbh i like botw better for atmosphere and no rushed plots.

Point by point response to OP's rant: It has mostly the same game mechanics as BotW, but the storyline is completely different and the map is more than twice as large. If you want a different gameplay experience, go down into the depths where any damage given is permanent until you rise to the surface again, or up into the sky islands where you have to build things in order to move from island to island. There are also a ton of new enemies, so I don't know why you said it's the same enemies. Down in the depths you have the Frox to deal with, which are a cross between Hinoxes and Taluses that are tougher to beat (especially since they'll eat your light source if you don't engage them fast enough, and they're difficult to see in the dark). Then on the surface you have the Battle Taluses (Stone Taluses with a Bokoblin camp guarding their weak spot), Like Likes (the normal ones are easy to beat but the elemental ones are tough), Hand Monsters (which are quick and will suck your hearts away if they grab you), Gibdos and Redead, and many others. I don't think you played the game yet, or at least not very far into it. The weapons are completely different, too. You can't just pick up a random Royal Sword and start swinging it - all regular weapons are rusted and weak, and can only be strengthened by fusing them with other items, forcing you to be creative in order to get stronger. If you lack creativity I can see how this might frustrate you, but it's a completely new gameplay experience - especially if you play more than the tutorial area. You claim that you spent a hundred hours playing the game, then how come you don't mention the depths, or the new mechanics, or the new exploration (even on the surface with the caves)? Not to mention that the game came out four days after this video was posted, and the KZreadrs that got early access for reviews were only allowed 75 minutes of supervised gameplay - so you couldn't possibly have paid $70 and spent more than a hundred hours playing it; either you lied about how long you played it (which is obvious given your lack of knowledge about the game outside of the preview footage), or you pirated the game and lied about paying for it. I'm thinking both: you never paid for the game, and you haven't actually played it. You claim that the building is like Fortnite, but again it seems your frustration with the mechanic is lack of creativity. First, you don't have to stop and figure out how to build things - it's just an option in puzzle-solving. I've played through a good half the game now and I've only really "had" to build stuff if I'm helping out Addison with his Hudson signs (and that's an optional thing, not even a side quest). There are many other popular games that have building mechanics aside from Fortnite: Minecraft, No Man's Sky, Oxygen Not Included, Subnautica, the Two Point games, Fallout 4, Rimworld, Astroneer, Ark, every Lego game out there, and more. Heck, half of those games came out before Fortnite, so you could say that Fortnite was the one copying others. Not to mention your rant about the building mechanics negate your point about it being the same game, since BotW is much more straightforward without building. The champion's name is Link, not Zelda, BTW. Again, I don't think you've played as far into the game as you claim if you don't know that basic detail. Aside from BotW, the Zelda franchise before TotK wasn't really meant for "do what you want to do". Most of them have railroad plots where there is nothing of interest outside of the place you're supposed to go - and then you can't enter new places until you've beaten previous levels and gotten the items there. So you're wrong about "Zelda is supposed to let you do what you want to do": first, no. Second, TotK *does* let you do what you want to do; it just forces you to think outside the box for how to do it. Since it's an exploration game instead of a Sin City-esque game, encouraging creativity is part of the genre. Also, if you want to play GTA, then just play GTA. Zelda isn't for that. TikTok in other countries has more than educational stuff, and America has the educational content as well. Just because you only like to watch the stupid videos doesn't mean that's the only thing out there. Not to mention Zelda is created in Japan, so I don't know why you're applying American culture to it. Again, just because you don't think it's fun to build, explore, or puzzle-solve doesn't mean that nobody thinks it's fun. It's also not "learning" any more than any other game - the mechanics are basic puzzle-solving, like every other Zelda game in the franchise, so if you graduated from elementary school then it should be easy enough. Calling it "educational stuff" tells more about your intelligence than it does about the game. You think video games are supposed to be "realistic"? Dude, GTA doesn't have realistic physics. Fortnite has the floating objects that you just called "stupid". Why are you whining about TotK having less-than-real physics when there's not a video game out there that follows real-world natural laws? It's a story in a fantasy setting; as long as it's consistent about the physics rules established in that world (and it is), it's fine. It doesn't have to be "all realistic", especially since those other games you mentioned that you liked playing have the same mix. The only reason the gap between games was so long was this little thing called "COVID-19" (you know, when everything shut down for most of 2020 and half of 2021?). TotK was originally slated to be released in 2021 (four-ish years between games, which is the Zelda franchise's average); due to COVID it was pushed back to 2022, and then due to the graphics issues of Pokémon S/V they decided to take a few more months to make sure TotK wouldn't have the same issues. And Fortnite came out after BotW. TotK has the same graphics as its predecessor, so I don't know why you think Zelda is copying Fortnite instead of the other way around. Why are you playing a video game at work? Of course your coworkers ask if you're playing it for your kid, because a grown man your age shouldn't be playing video games at work at all. That has more to do with you than it does with the game graphics. BotW and TotK actually have some of the best/most realistic graphics Nintendo has come out with. Now you're just grasping at straws. The reason other grown men don't invite you to play with them is this constant whining attitude you have towards the games they like. Gamers don't care so much about the aesthetics as long as they have fun with the game - you're a downer if you judge people on the games they play when you (very obviously) haven't played much of them. If Zelda isn't for you, then fine - but this entire video shows you to be a whining man-child who doesn't know how to let others enjoy things. Nobody wants to play with that guy. When you're in high school you have more free time to hang out and play video games when you don't have bills to pay. When you're older and responsible for your own house, family, job, etc. (at least, if you aren't living in your parents' basement), you don't have as much time to hang out with friends. You're not going to invite people over to watch them play a single-player game when you could spend that free time playing your own game. It has little to do with the game you're playing and more to do with the fact that you're not as grown-up as you think you are if you're playing video games at work and feel like everyone should have as much free time as you do. The game isn't trash. The problem is you.

I actually think TikTok can be used for fun and education. It shouldn't be difficult to search through genres or for keywords. If you wanna see booty bounces that should be an easy find. Same for if you want to know how to fix your car engine. Also playing a game just to impress other men is kinda gay sounding honestly (nothing wrong with being gay FYI). Play stuff you like. Who cares what other people think. I know grown ass men who are body builders who play spongebob. They don't care what other men think. They're secure with themselves. Also it's an unfortunate consequence of getting older that there's less and less time to see friends. It's pretty depressing, but Zelda isn't the reason. Very few Zelda games are multiplayer. If you want to get friends over for games you need something like Smash Bros, Rockband, Mortal Kombat, Mario Party, Halo 2, stuff like that.

A Preface: I do not play Breath of the Wild, nor will I play tears of the kingdom, no, I enjoy having sex /s. And this is not in any way meant to be harassment, but I would like to tell you some thoughts I have in regards to your recent TOTK reviews. Just admit you’re not a Zelda fanboy? Neither am I, the last Zelda game I enjoyed was the Minish Cap, though I doubt you’ve ever beaten it with it’s semi-complicated puzzles and bosses. But like, other than what comes down to personal preference, your argument just essentially boils down to “I don’t like this game, so you guys shouldn’t buy it”. I didn’t see any mentions of performance crashes, game-breaking bugs , and while it’s not my cup of tea, it looks more than competent on all technical levels. Something you did mention as game-breaking was the building aspect, but given that it works as intended and you simply brought it up because it's something you don't like, that's a pretty invalid point to bring up. Berating a game for not being finished and therefore not a game is completely understandable, but lambasting a finished game simply because it’s not to your specific liking shows an amount of immaturity and bias that won’t carry you far if your intent is to persuade an audience, much less garner one in the first place.
