for any sort of wind instrument, you must blow a lot of air to have a steady smooth sound, and the way you hold the instrument or your posture can affect how much air you can blow.

How to get high notes to not be way off and sound bad? I know about the "acute bend" but even buying ones that supposed don't need it as much, it all falls apart on the three highest notes.

On a whim I randomly 3D printed an ocarina ($1.50 total cost, chromatic tuner shows it's mostly in tune), thanks for the tutorial, this was one of my favorite childhood games+^_^+ Most 3d printers use files with the .stl extension, so you website was a bit of a clickbait, making me think I'd find .stl files for more ocarina styles i could print XD I'll probably bookmark it tho, some of those ocarinas are really pretty.

Can you do it with a Grover ocarina (sweet potato)

There is different types of ocarina, so you might have a different version where the high E/D is substituted with a low E/D

Sarias song is the start of the lost woods theme song.

Now i bought the one she said from stl and the G sounds off and doesn’t sound smooth like in the video kinda disappointing =/

Thoses tabs are just amazing! Don‘t need to care that C is Do and translating the rest. The pic where to put fingers is clear!🎉

You've messed up the melody notes of the final run of this song (that you took extra slow at the end of the tutorial). You start too high. Start a note or half note lower and it'll be correct. I've listened to this hundreds of times to get the melody right and it's hard, but it doesn't sound like this. I play it on the guitar for reference, at full speed.

Can you teach us how to play Leaves from the Vine from avatar the last air bender it would sound so good on the ocarina (like this comment if you agree :>)

Anything you want to do!! Ocarina music is just soooo much better with that hint of originality in it!!! What your doing now is really great.... so I'm just suggesting anything you come up with on your own would be really cool and I would love to play it!!

If it's a cheap Ocarina it will sound bad. If it's good check the front it will have two letters such as AC That is Alto tuned to C. If yours is tuned to something other than C then all the tabs will be different.

In order to play higher notes cleanly, a certain amount of pressure is necessary. So if the notes sound fuzzy, try playing them a little louder

I fucked up. lol Got interested in ocarina while drunk and got the amazon one...Now I wanna learn more but ocarina from Jeff Bezos sucks. Way out of tune. Will be buying a new one ASAP.

You can find some ocarina's on amazon as well which aren't that bad for beginners. One of my plastic ones is called night by noble and i bought it from amazon. It's really not that bad. Sure, there are better one's if you spent more money. But for beginners which will give it a try first, its a good choice
