Thank you very much for your excellent reviews. I keep coming back again and again to watch them all as I save for my next 'perfect' scope. Few reviews are as concise and detailed as yours. Well presented too. Looking forward to many more. Again, many thanks to you.

Great review, appreciate the LR perspective. Few reviews get into the details you have here, which is really the important information when considering top end optics. Cheers!

I know this is a long way down the track but, really like your vids. I get a lot out of your reviews. Slightly long winded but, in truth, basically necessary & overall much appreciated. Watched heaps of your reviews & am in the market for a tier 1 scope. Great stuff, please keep up the excellent work. It's blokes like you that make my life a whole lot easier.

Hi Richard, great video as always, definitely like the look of the V8. I was wondering if you have an opinion on Tier 1 unimount vs the Spuhr unimounts? Thanks and keep up the top videos!

Good afternoon . if you put the sight at an inclination of 35-50 moa, you can get up to 250 clicks up, while you can use zero stop, you don’t need to pull out the pin, but just grind it off a little, and then the zero stop will work, and when you scroll the drum up, the pin will not interfere it will be possible to use all clicks up and at the same time not lose zero on zero stop

As always good review Richard. which scope would you most recommend for nighttime lamping and long range target shooting(1000yd)? I've been toying with a Crusader? What would be your suggestion? Going on a 6XC. Thanks in advance.

High quality Review. Brilliant! Enjoyed a lot. Would like ask you something Richard. What's your point about S&B 3-20x50 Scope? As I am tempted to own one or a Zeiss v8. It would be for long range hunting. What do you think? I am not sure which is better (S&B Vs Zeiss Tactical). Looking forward your answer. Thank you.

Thats about it for my rifle 7mm RemMag. Combining 2 rings as You did show. would take me to 900m at least. which would be satisfactory for caliber and bullet for LR hunting. Just my 2 cents. Reasonable reticle with legible Mil subtentions would alow a 100m zero at 2Mils Up. Or as needed.

Zeiss only does CW turrets and no CCW turrets. For those of us that got use to dialing the opposite direction for wind, its a deal killer.

Great video. I would have purchased at least 2 or maybe even 3 of these scopes but for the very obvious failings which you have outlined . What the hell was Zeiss thinking when it came to those turrets ? If they correct these blunders they will skyrocket in sales. I bet they will increase at least 10 fold. As it is I have purchased another Schmidt and Bender . I also purchased a Tangent Theta which in my opinion is currently the best 5-25x56 on the Planet. It has everything but the Zeiss eye box.

BUD T I agree 100%. If those turrets were better executed, there wouldn’t even be any effort involved in deciding my next LR scope. It would be a given. Unfortunately I can’t say that I would purchase that one because I really don’t care for either theturrets or the operation of them.

I’m assuming you’re a bench rest shooter ? in real world hunting you need to very quick shots . the animals are not gonna sit around, and wait for you dialing your scope. Click here, click there , Giving you a long , period of time to take the shot. when you’re out to 500 yards that’s really the max most anybody even experience hunters want to take a shot because in real world hunting you don’t have a nice solid rest put your scope on it’s a hell of a shot to try and take one out 500 yards and were real world hunting. In most places don’t have that don’t have to be a real long range shot and if you’re talking mountainous tech things you’re talking one Valley to the next you may not even collect that animal because it’s so far away and I’ll roll down the mountain you’ll never see it again .

Nothing is finer at dusk than the V8. The Crusader is nearly there but snappy focus/short depth of field, which is great for targets, lets it down slightly against the Zeiss

Zeiss blows it yet again. They could have dominated the market with this scope but completely blew it. Crap turrets and a mere 5 mil elevation for a 35 power scope!!!! Also, the corresponding numbers on the turret are what I would expect a grade 3 drop out to come up with. The 1,2,3,4 and 5 are actually not 1,2,3,4 and 5 mils but rather HALF of that. So the 1 is actually HALF a mil, UNBELIEVABLE !!!!! The person responsible should have been fired.
