    Thanks for you great video! Just got my M800 tonight and on set up saw right away that it 'skips' or changes its pace (even manual) right at the center making for an uneven slide. It's almost like it gives way right at the center than catches back up. There a way to fix this? Do I have a bad model?

    QUESTION - Just getting around to installing the M600 motor on my Micro2 ( as shown ). However, my stock slider belt is attached via an allen-headed screw FROM THE TOP (not the bottom/underside) of the camera mount apparatus and into a THREADED metal connector that's attached directly to the stock belt. Again, not from the bottom as depicted in this video. Parts included with motor are NOT threaded nor is the camera mount apparatus, it cannot receive the threads of a screw.. Items are Micro 2 M600 with the Zeapon Micro 2 E600/M600 Camera Slider Motor.. Anyone have this issue and or any suggestions. Thanks in advance. Both were bought at the same time..

    It seems that the head mount is 1/4x20 which is disappointing. I wouldn’t trust a heavy video head and camera on such a small screw.

  • @ScottDumas

    @ScottDumas

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@davidp158 Yeah that is a bit of a downer at times but I think it's inevitable since there's no way to smoothly downsize a 3/8 to 1/4 for heads that need it like smaller ball heads. I would only worry about it when using it with heavy cameras on a steep incline though, and the vertical payload is limited to around 4kg anyway (including the head itself, and even then 4kg is borderline)- which shouldn't put toooo much stress on it. I guess because of that, the 1/4" screw is not too too bad.

    Thanks! The base/support system is quite a lot different with extra features including a small but much appreciated one- multiple screw threads on the bottom and/or the built in plate- both which help to avoid the slider spinning loose on a tripod. The new ones also come with nicer carry bags than the original, as well as the new support arms for holding up heavier loads at further distances out from the center on a tripod.

    Hi! I use a variety and it will depend on if you have any already or have personal preferences for size, strength, plate design etc. The ones I've been using lately are from ARTCISE and I have 2 different sizes, both work great and are Arca Swiss compatible. I had an Arca Swiss brand head before but I'll admit it's a little overpriced. I like the ARTCISE ones because the whole head can pan as usual but also the plate mount itself can pan, so once you get a level setting you can pan without messing up your horizon.

    I'm not sure if anything has changed but in the sliders I've got the motorized version does not come with the extra track you'd need after removing the motor. It 100% can be removed easily but you'd need that little extra piece of track to take its place. I did though need a slider lately to shoot some upcoming video and ended up using my drawer in the closet since it has smooth rails and also my spinning computer chair to get some other movements (pretty creative ha?) In reality I use the micro2 or 600 more than the 800... I think the 800 really needs the support arms even more and it’s sometimes more trouble than it’s worth for a few quick shots. The 600 can get away without them a lot more often, and of course the micro 2. As for the “plus” update, that’s a good question. I’ll see what I can find out!

    Wow, Zeapon did quite a revision on the base for these sliders. Lots of interesting new features, and it looks to be wider and thus more stable. I wish there was a way to disable the slider motor for quick, manual slider moves. Relying on the limited number of speeds via the motor switches is restrictive. I would much prefer a dedicated remote control for the motorized features than a phone app. Overall, this looks like a fine product, but I'm waiting to see what Zeapon comes up with for a motorized head (and remote control) before investing into this system.

  • @ScottDumas

    @ScottDumas

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yeah they definitely took a lot of feedback from the original. I do agree that a quick "off" switch to go back to manual would be nice, but I've got by decently well with the 3 preset speeds... at least to the point that I don't feel the need to pull out my phone and use the app very often, if ever. I might be the minority there though. A dedicated remote would be interesting, I'll mention it to them. The motorized head I think will be the biggest thing out of all of this. They have an awesome base system and if they nail the design of the head it will be a huge huge hit and it's the last piece of the puzzle a lot of people are waiting for. Very much looking forward to it myself.

    Hi Scott, After telling you about my problem with my M600 bag,zeapon answered my email immediately, but they still didn't offered me a proper solution. I don't care anymore tbh. I bought the m600 and after a month i ordered the motor.i contacted them first because the motor was not available on amazon germany, so they sent me a purchase link to aliexpress. After commenting on your chanel they offered me to purchase the bag for freaking 45$ including shipment which is crazy, i kind of thought they'd be nice enough to send me the bag with the motor i ordered for free or maybe for a lower fee,but they didn't. how can i carry my slider now after i receive and install the motor? The idiotic part is,that they could easily manufacture a fixed size bag,that both M600 and E600 could fit in it, then those who had bought the M600 could still use the bag after they've upgraded to E600.

    Hey really sorry to hear about this. I'll see what I can do but I agree it should not cost that much if it costs at all. One of the main oversights they made- including a case that doesn't work if you expand on the system.

    My zeapon micro 2 e800 stop working rite out of the box. It went backwards and would not go back forwards. It was a waste of $700

    Returned mine. The foam between the main plate and the rails wore away in less than two month, causing the main plate to have slack and wiggle in it. Wiggle = unusable shots. Disappointed.

    T.J. Penton really? I’m surprised to hear that, sorry! I’ve been using my original micro 2 for well over a year and it’s working as good as when I first got it, and I use it on a nearly daily basis.

    @@ScottDumas Trust me, I loved mine as well. Very smooth and I love how compact it it. But once wiggle play showed up between the head and the rails it was useless. I took it apart, checked every bolt several times. And it was the internal foam that just either soften up or something, causing the slack. Was lucky to return it, since it was out of the 30day window.

    Tbh the costomer service is not good. I got the m 600,and after q while i decided to order the motor. I contacted the costomer service to see if they can send me a bag(not for free),because the m600 bag will no longer be able to fit the e600. They said we can't send you one because of the shipping costs,they didn't even offer me a price. Great product, but bad costomer service

    Sorry to hear that, I'll give the feedback to them to be careful with how they handle those situations. From what I've heard, they didn't originally plan to sell the bags individually at all but they are now considering to stock some resellers with them and make them more available. Let me know your email address and I'll try to get them sorted out with you

    Bad product, it has a design flaw! If the slider is on legs, for example on a table, there is a big shake when moving around the middle of the track - this is caused by a bad design: the support wheels go through the connection between the motor and the profile of the slider, there is a gap where the wheels sink into ... If the slider is on a tripod, this problem does not occur, but if it is placed on a table, it is unusable! Oh, so many reviews here, and no one has noticed ?
