Welcome to my Absolute Beginner Tutorial for ZBrush Core Mini. In this video we will be going over all of the tools and features, as well as some nice tips for ZBrush Core Mini, Pixologic's completely free digital sculpting program. If you are new to the world of digital sculpting, or maybe you are looking to pick up some nice tips, then you are in the right place. This free version of ZBrush is the perfect place to start learning digital sculpting!
If you are interested in furthering your education after this video, then be sure to check the link above in the description for the continuation of this ZBrush Core Mini tutorial where I go through the steps to sculpt a human male head from beginning to end. I have been using ZBrush for many years, I'm a part of their beta testing team, and not single day goes by where I don't use ZBrush. The tools available in ZBrush CoreMini are more than enough to get you started and sculpting right away. Go download this version of ZBrush for free, follow along to learn all of the tools, and you will be sculpting in no time at all! The ZBrush Core Mini interface has been pared down quite nicely compared to the full ZBrush software. But that doesn't mean that it's not a little intimidating. Hopefully this video helps you in learning ZBrushCoreMini quickly so that you can get in and sculpting right away!

I really want to learn 3D modelling since years but everytime i start an tutorial i get scared and I'm quckly demotivated... but now i found out about ZBrush Core Mini and after i started the program i draw a few lines with it and instantly fell in love with it :D and now 1h later i still have so much fun playing around with it :) I have the same feelings again i had as a child if i played around with the modeling clay for children (don't know how its called in english ^^). I really can't wait to invest a lot of hours in it :)

Right, mini offers just enough to sculpt for 3d printing hobbyist, also helps set foot with Zbrush with potential to convert into paid version, but other than that, blender is way more functional, especially with its simulation, UV, ringing capabilities vs mini or core. Zbrush should have mini years ago to use its momentum, or focus on building and owning comprehensive marketplace for Zbrush artists to trade their products like Daz did. Blender with each release gets more refined and tuned so it is tough competitor and not only for Zbrush.

@@BlahBlahManYeah keep in mind that applications such as Substance and Zbrush have a high price tag for a reason, despite doing only one thing. blender as a do it all is a great application, but you'll find that it becomes quickly limiting once you go down the rabbit hole of each branch it covers. Basically, a do it all application will not be able to replace dedicated applications.

I still think this is not enough for a person making full models on daily basis. It's cool for newcommers, because UI is simple, there is limtied amount of tools so software is not as intimidating, when i opened blender after couple years of not using it recently i think i had stroke when i saw all the zippers, selections, options and tools. So yeah i will always prefer Zbrush for sculpting

Well this is a big letdown. You can't even add new shapes with this version. Don't let looks deceive you. It's simple and the UI is clean because it is stripped of its actual features. This is more like a toy, a very boring toy that no child wants to play with. It has minimal brushes and not the ones necessary for creating an actual sculpture. It's less than a demo. I suppose I shouldn't get my hopes up about a 'free' program. 🙄😒
