I'm with you on Zartan and his baldness - rewatching the cartoon that hood had a wavyness to it that made it look like, well now that I look at it, your hair. Even beyond that though I have two words for you - Cold Slither. After seeing the bright red mohawk Zartan they came out with during the more absurd years of G.I. Joe, I fully believe that the long wild red hair he had while playing Cold Slither is his real hair.

My Zartan should arrive tomorrow. I think it's the best Zartan in the Classified line. By the way, as a kid watching the cartoon, I always thought that was Zartans hair.

Great review! This version of Zartan is cartoon accurate. Also no mention of the green eyes compared to the other versions.

I like Zartan as a character for his abilities but he dresses like he's about to sing "Y! M! C! A!"

I just got this Zartan today, I opened him up while watching your review, that was fun! I only recently got into collecting Classified figures (they hooked me in with that Serpentor set), actually I only just started watching the GI Joe cartoon, it was never something I was into as a kid, everything was just Thundercats and then Turtles for me. But man it's a fun cartoon, especially the early episodes, very 80's campy. I just happened to see the retro Zartan on the Walmart website and I jumped on it, this one is perfect for me because it looks the most like the cartoon version, which are really the only figures I'm trying to get for the most part. Of course he got shipped in an envelope and of course my mailman folded it right in half and stuffed it in the mailbox, womp womp waa... at least the figure is ok, definitely can't say the same for the card back unfortunately

The skull mask would look cool on one to hang out with the other swamp and jungle dudes. Copperhead and Shadow Tracker

Can't wait to get all the Dreadnoks so I can make a Cold Slither Shelf! Personally I like the Master of Disguise Zartan does it for me but I have them all displayed, they all have there good and bad qualities. Hopefully they release all the lesser known Dreadnoks like Zanzibar, Storm Rider (w/Doom Cycle), Burn Out, Rugrat, Machete (w/Dreadnok Cycle), Death Metal, Crusher, Gnawgahyde, Heart-Wrencher, Chop Shop, and Demolisher. And also, since Hasbro likes to reuse body molds they can release the Dreadhead Cousins (Billy-Bob, Cletus, Joe-Bob, Otis, Roscoe, Vance) since the original 3.34" figures were all identical. I will also be displaying Copperhead with my Dreadnoks as he worked for them as well as Cobra, can't wait.

From what I heard there not doing anymore Walmart retro card backs the 8 that we have gotten in the line is it…….makes Sense classified is basically the retro line now anyways

Did not even know this one existed - but I've yet to find any other than lady jaye / baroness and most are always in terrible condition.

Is easy to wear different wigs when the head is shave bald. In some versions of Zartan he has a Mohawk. I supossed the hoodie is to cover up Zartan's well known sensitive skin.

Zartan killed Storm Shadows uncle in the comics, that's why he joined Cobra.

I don’t know. I had the 3.75” Zartan figure from the 80s with the vehicle. If that vehicle is going to bump up the cost for $20 for Classified version, it won’t be worth it.

this latest Zartan you can see the face sculpt is much cheaper and cheesier looking, along with the last couple waves are looking poor

I’m amazed on how many people thought his hood was his hair. I feel like I am in the minority because I always thought it was a hood.

It's due to the cartoon. The animators actually animated him for the first two seasons I think as him having hair.They misunderstood the animation model they were given. If you look closely you can see his hair parting in chase scenes and such. It was later corrected in season 3 I believe.
