    It's a hella difficult balancing act. Sometimes you can get in trouble for not taking a stand too. People also love being offended these days. Maybe companies need to accept they're going to offend some people and live with it. Nike pissed off Trump supporters by supporting Colin Kaepernick, yet got record sales that year. Marketing is turning tougher as people have to predict societal views...

    Spanish Brand Zara's "The Jacket" campaign featured images of a model against a backdrop of cracked stones and damaged statues & unfinished sculptures depicting a sculptor's studio! Islamic people took it as Zara depicting Gaza! 🤦‍♀️ Even after saying the ad meant nothing still these people think the world revolves around Them while 44+ Arab nations silent about the murder of their Palestinian brothers but none of the Arab brands are boycotted! 👏👏

    Even if the photos were planned way before, for an influential brand like Zara, it would have helped if they were aware and sensitive of current affairs - that is if they weren't actually mocking the dead. Imagine if there was a photo of an explosion of a corporate tower and released right after 9/11? Would people have found it easy to ignore? Wouldn't a huge corporation like Zara immediately pulled it off? Wouldn't a brand like Zara respond with apologizing and not ignore concerns at the outset?

One cannot keep up with all crazy things in the world. It’s quite disturbing. And to think that a fashion industry professional is going to be on toes is weird. And yes photo shoots takes lot of time in set design, hiring the campaign professionals.

    The only thing these protests indicate to westerners… is just HOW MANY ARABS WE HAVE IN OUR COUNTRIES. Infiltrated. The headlines should state “the Arabs of Australia, Canada, US, Germany, England, etc. have been protesting. Otherwise it can seem as though the true nationals of those countries share in those sentiments - in which they certainly do not in large part. And as it relates to Zara, they should market and focus on those who buy their merchandise, and those people happen to be mostly westerners… so submitting or falling prey to the middle eastern culture would be a dumb and not profitable business move.

    A lot of store fronts seem to be psychological operations more than profit making enterprises. Sometimes a flourishing business is a tax shelter or a money laundry. During the pandemic two stores opened in my neighborhood that seem suspect. One, a sweet shop cafe, has a shingle with a syringe on it. At first it was great. But gradually the workers became disagreeable driving customers away. It became often empty. Another one, a restaurant was all about signaling and political slogans of the day printed on the windows. That one seems to be flourishing. These types of things are what eccentric people mean when they question reality...

The content of the captivating reporting is truly awe-inspiring, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. The dedication, talent and hard work poured into the video are greatly appreciated by many, she is the true hero in our story. Additionally, the Indian Union Public Service Commission has delivered a remarkable report titled संघ लोक सेवा आयोग *How Britishers killed 1.8 billion Indians. Chronology of British Raj's exploitative policies* | UPSC," which is equally astounding. The commission consistently produces insightful and thought-provoking articles of the utmost caliber, and I sincerely hope they continue to produce such interesting exceptional work. Can it even get better than that? They speak the truth and truly deserve an award.

  • @PraneeI

    @PraneeI

    7 ай бұрын

    First, it was done over a very long period of 200+ years. Not all in one go. And it was the British policies and laws implemented that killed 1.8 billion Indians, not that they were executed.

  • @PraneeI

    @PraneeI

    7 ай бұрын

    The two main policies that wiped out 1.8 billion Indians are: 1: Allocation of food: Since the British were at war all the time, they didn't have people to do the farming. They made India do agriculture and then take it away. causing a massive famine every week. 2: Plundering of India's natural resources The British forced Indians to mine all the natural minerals in their country and carry them to the ports to be shipped back to England every day. extremely dangerous jobs, and these poor Indians weren't fed, and hundreds of millions succumbed to the exhaustion. The whole of India was ruled by only a handful of Britishers. Why India chose to never fight back baffles many to this day. Maybe India is just obedient by nature.

    As an expert on Indians behavior and nesting habits, Indians have a pattern of not ever resisting the invaders; rather, the invaders departed themselves after a while, like the British and many others, when there were no more resources to exploit, leaving behind a population of a billion Indians struggling with poverty and lacking in education, a situation no one wished to address.

    It was an advertisement allegedly displaying sculptures in a pose that is very similar to the dead bodies of victims of Gaza. The timing of such a advertisement is questionable because of the insensitive nature. The brand didn't do enough to see how that would sit in during current times. Imagine there were posters and display pieces in a brand window of an exploding tower or a plane around the time 9/11 happened? However innocent the brand they would have take it down immediately. Since this didn't happen and Zara handled complaints about this campaign poorly and continued to display it, people started to protest. Brands invests hundreds of thousands of dollars in research and millions in protecting their brand - however Zara failed to see the uncanny resemblance of their campaign, failed to take it down in time - they were either too out of touch or were genuinely guilty - one wouldn't know. But this doesn't look good on their brand values, their marketing team and their leadership.

    These protest groups are simply on the lookout for anything to relate to Gaza and then shout and scream. They should just go about their normal lives and contribute to the society.
