Even if the photos were planned way before, for an influential brand like Zara, it would have helped if they were aware and sensitive of current affairs - that is if they weren't actually mocking the dead. Imagine if there was a photo of an explosion of a corporate tower and released right after 9/11? Would people have found it easy to ignore? Wouldn't a huge corporation like Zara immediately pulled it off? Wouldn't a brand like Zara respond with apologizing and not ignore concerns at the outset?

I can assure you not all are aware of international geopolitics, and many can’t spare time to care. I do. But I know many who don’t. And that’s fair actually. I can believe the campaign was conceptualized before the war but they haven't said what it means. What message were they trying to convey with those wrapped mannequins and broken walls? Still makes no sense so their lack of explanation points towards guilt.

The protesters ultimately don't care about the sweat shops, Gaza is the current buzz to which these sheep react. Indeed it is sad. But hey, United Colors of Benetton faced the same sweat shop scandal and they are back.

I use to spend thousands for their every season. Now im glad to i cancelled it forever. I feel ashamed to my core wearing things i’ve already purchased from them. Now i donate everything ( 63 items as i count ) from suit to shoes to local shelter for the poor and homeless

The headlines should state “the Arabs of Australia, Canada, US, Germany, England, etc. have been protesting. Zara staff don’t get paid enough for this nonsense. SMH. Why trouble the staff who work hard to support themselves and maybe even their families? Do these childish pro Palestinian supporters want Zara to earn less so they don’t have enough to pay their middle- low income staff?

A lot of store fronts seem to be psychological operations more than profit making enterprises. Sometimes a flourishing business is a tax shelter or a money laundry. During the pandemic two stores opened in my neighborhood that seem suspect. One, a sweet shop cafe, has a shingle with a syringe on it. At first it was great. But gradually the workers became disagreeable driving customers away. It became often empty. Another one, a restaurant was all about signaling and political slogans of the day printed on the windows. That one seems to be flourishing. These types of things are what eccentric people mean when they question reality...

Everything in this world is been politicise, most especially coming from some sect of people.

First, it was done over a very long period of 200+ years. Not all in one go. And it was the British policies and laws implemented that killed 1.8 billion Indians, not that they were executed.

The two main policies that wiped out 1.8 billion Indians are: 1: Allocation of food: Since the British were at war all the time, they didn't have people to do the farming. They made India do agriculture and then take it away. causing a massive famine every week. 2: Plundering of India's natural resources The British forced Indians to mine all the natural minerals in their country and carry them to the ports to be shipped back to England every day. extremely dangerous jobs, and these poor Indians weren't fed, and hundreds of millions succumbed to the exhaustion. The whole of India was ruled by only a handful of Britishers. Why India chose to never fight back baffles many to this day. Maybe India is just obedient by nature.

As an expert on Indians behavior and nesting habits, Indians have a pattern of not ever resisting the invaders; rather, the invaders departed themselves after a while, like the British and many others, when there were no more resources to exploit, leaving behind a population of a billion Indians struggling with poverty and lacking in education, a situation no one wished to address.

Those were supposed to be mannequins, like every fashion store has mannequins. They filmed that before Oct 7 and not every culture around the world wrap their dead for burial like Muslims do. They never thought mannequins= Muslim burial wrapping🤦🏻‍♀️

It was an advertisement allegedly displaying sculptures in a pose that is very similar to the dead bodies of victims of Gaza. The timing of such a advertisement is questionable because of the insensitive nature. The brand didn't do enough to see how that would sit in during current times. Imagine there were posters and display pieces in a brand window of an exploding tower or a plane around the time 9/11 happened? However innocent the brand they would have take it down immediately. Since this didn't happen and Zara handled complaints about this campaign poorly and continued to display it, people started to protest. Brands invests hundreds of thousands of dollars in research and millions in protecting their brand - however Zara failed to see the uncanny resemblance of their campaign, failed to take it down in time - they were either too out of touch or were genuinely guilty - one wouldn't know. But this doesn't look good on their brand values, their marketing team and their leadership.
