I remember Roger in the late 70’s performing with his band “Roger and the Human Body” out of Ohio. They performed in the small club circuit. Awesome guitar work along with his talk box. He was always a crowd pleaser. At the time, 79/80, I thought he was better than the younger Prince. Roger never got the big break like Prince did. But he did well for himself. He was awesome!

People revere Prince, but COME ON!!!! Roger is actually more of an influence on West Coast Hip Hop (Dr Dre, Ice Cube, Snoop) than practically any other R&B artist. George Clinton even discovered him and signed him. Mad props to Roger Troutman

Shout out to star 94.5 radio station who introduced me to Zapp and Roger.because they play his music so much. He is the MVP of all the cookouts in Apopka Florida. 🔥
I grew up with it on the radio here. Nope, I surely loved this sound then life unrolled bitter rug out before my childhood eyes when I saw how nobody I was tuning in was responding for me or reaching me. Now I feel really bad because it must look like everyone who tuned in Motown were on one side or the other with no cares in between. So my mom hit ,ett out and we left our mom our and we left the station out who ;get us out only to find years on down the road that the country station was the latest and I never did listen to much country. Oh well. 😢
Best album to work out to!!!

*I'm turning 45 this year and in the 90's when I was a teenager I had to go to a specialty record store to find this CD!!! But it was one of the 1st CD's I played after getting that sweet audio system back in the day when that was popular kiddies as we didn't need no Qtips LOL!!! I was lucky enough to have many of music's influences bump'n and Zapp & Roger was apart of the soundtrack of my life!!! RIP Roger!!!*

Saw Zapp at the Superdome in the 80s. They kept introducing the leader of the band,we were looking at the stage. Roger came down the plaza level stairs right past me riding on some guys back playing his (ax) guitar, that was really cool 😎

30 years since this album came out. i was 14 years old back then. some of the tracks were shortened from their original version lengths, but i didn't know it at the time. just jammed to it on my earphones while doing my homework. funny thing is there is no way i can study for work material now in my older years while listening to this, back then i could. i was pretty much A/B+ student too.
