One more reason to like Zangief: at the end of your support conversations with him, he tells you that he’s taking you to the library. Because it’s important to train your mind as well as your body. I’m really glad they revealed that he’s really well-educated and has even authored a book on the significance of wrestling. It adds a new dimension to him as a character!

@@igodreamer7096 He is the type that would wake you up at 5 in the morning so you could do morning stretches and some training. Followed with some training in the evening (assuming you have work and such) You would absolutely hate it initially to have him drag you through it, but looking back a year later on it would properly appreciate his zeal. I have been both very fit (practiced swimming from an young age) and overweight, and the difference (emotionally, mentally and physically) with just being overweight and when I was fit was huge. I honestly can't comprehend how folk that are obese are feeling. Just being overweight for some years felt utterly awful (still not back at 100% tbf). Which is why when I see someone well overweight in the gym I silently cheer for them... or actually cheer them on if they appear to be able to take the attention (always be careful about such stuff, some folk feel so embarrassed about their physical state that if they get attention they might run away rather than keep going)

Can we talk about the fact that Zangief waited until he *knew* the dude could physically finish that pistol squat before dropping everything he was doing and jumping in for moral support? Our man knew the best way to encourage someone is to hammer in the fact that they can do ANYTHING they put their mind to right as they just barely perform an incredible feat (performed with heaps of encouragement, of course). And a more arrogant man might have bragged about how he uses so much more weight than the dude, but Zangief just congratulated him, handed him more weight, then got back to his own training. My man doesn't want you to surpass the competition, he only wants you to surpass yourself. God DAMN what a good personal trainer!

And a more arrogant man might have bragged about how he uses so much more weight than the dude, but Zangief just congratulated him, handed him more weight, then got back to his own training. Zangief motivating me more than any real motivational speaker
Genuinely loved this scene, wholesome af.
Bro just casually took a slap on the back from THE ZANGIEF WHILE STANDING ON 1 LEG AND STILL KEPT HIS BALANCE?!?!?
"Good things await you" that line hits harder than everyone's future, One of the best cutsenses in the game I fkn love zangief he's cool.

The "good things" are nothing more than more weight, nothing more than the chance at being greater than "the current you." It's a simple prize, but one that offers infinite potential if chased. "Nothing is impossible! Not if you keep training!"
*NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!* *Not if you keep TRAINING!* ~Zangief, The Red Cyclone
Bro doing griddy on another level😂😂😂
Honestly. Everyone needs a gym bro like Zangief💪🔥
Bro Zangief is a real one here Just pure motivation without any unneeded negativity towards you. He knows what motivation is needed and gives it to you without hesitation.

We all need a Zangief in our lives lol He doesn’t yell at you to make you motivated or push you, he drowns out the voice in your head that thinks you can’t go farther, and he knows you can. Notice how he tossed him weights appropriately sized for the dude. A good gym bro for sure 😎

I came here to say this.
I feel like I’d die by pushing my limits because he’s so encouraging 😭 bro wants all of his trainees to push their limits
This is why Zangief is my favorite character. Also, in any true fight, Zangief easily takes the cake.
The kind of friend you need but don't deserve.
Like how genuinely happy the avatar character looks after he finally pulls it off, Zangief is such a good motivator

One of the most reactive and expressive avatar characters I've ever seen, right next to Mii characters lol
Besides the play-style he has, zangief is probably the least hatable character in street fighter. Theres almost never a dull moment when he’s on screen.
Zangief is the gym partner we all need!!!
Bro anyone who trains with Zangief could become fucking unstoppable

I can't deny zangief is an excellent motivational gym coach thats why he is one of my favorite characters In street fighter
Hell i love Zangief he is my fav character since I played my first street fight in the Super Nintendo. I love him ❤
He’s actually a really cool character in the lore, it’s just when you have to fight him is when the problems start 😂💀

So nice to see someone who doesn’t want to have a giant meme for a character! I appreciate that they gave you that kind of freedom, but the funniness factor of that novelty seriously exhausted itself extremely fast because of how many people were doing it.

Zangief is unironically one of the best characters in Street Fighter, he's not a bad guy anymore hes just a wrestler who loves to fight and he absolutely loves to motivate people, he's such a nice caring a sweet dude tbh
