This song was composed and sang by Rev Tiyo Soga in 1910 after he had just returned from England were he was part of an unsuccessful delegation that went to representations for a better deal for the African in the Union of South Africa. Beautifully done by Zahara.

This song is very close to my heart, Zahara just completed me, after dating for couple of years we finally got married with my soul soldier, this was our wedding song, the lord has fulfilled his purpose and zonkizizwe had to bow in celebrating God's will with us, my song my lady.

Wow! Lizalis'idinga lakho. the song takes me back to my youth days. The song has been sang from primary school, Higher Primary and even in High School. In almost all the Anc rallies in my village in the early 90's this song was always sung together with the national anthem. If I'm not mistaken it's also written by the late Enoch Sontonga.
