By that of course I mean, it was (and still is) a matter of biology, it's just more common for unhinged, and moronic parents to deny biology and institute Munchausen-by-proxy upon their children for their own self-aggrandizement. That makes it more funny, because the people that actually deny science and biology are a larger portion of the population by percentage, and that makes them less marginal, and therefore more fun to make fun of.
