Zach Edey's game will translate in the NBA, LeBron found the 3-point shot at age 39 | THE HERD

Спорт

After a heartbreaking end to last season, Purdue is in their revenge era with a trip to the Final Four. The Boilermakers defeated Tennessee 72-66 behind Zach Edey's 40-point, 16-rebound performance. Most of the basketball world has questioned if Edey's game can translate at the next level, but Colin Cowherd is all in on the big man. Watch as he explains why Edey will continue his success in the NBA. The Los Angeles Lakers continue their hot streak with their sixth win in their last seven games. They defeated the Brooklyn Nets 116-104, thanks to LeBron James' 40-point game, where he tied a career-high nine threes. Colin reacts to the King's big game and discusses finding the three-point shot at age 39.

I’ve watched this Edey kid for years. He’s got heart. He’s smart. Very coachable. His skill level has been increasing tremendously year to year. There is a spot for him in the NBA. What will make or break him in the NBA is the coaching and mentors he gets. If he ends up with duds well that’s all she wrote.

Colin’s lack of Basketball IQ is showing here. I watched that whole game, and while his numbers were good, he was slow footed and beaten at the rim on the defensive end many times by Tennessee. While he has been dominant in college, with the athleticism and skills of the bigs in the nba, I think he would be the definition of big for nothing. Think Boban Marjanovich, while we all fans of Bobi, he’s more entertainment and locker room value than on the court value. That’s Edey in my opinion.

So Lebron lays a 16 point egg in a loss and Colin doesn't focus on that. He does extremely well in a win and Colin shoots his load. This is what is called propaganda folks. My grandma only used to tell me about her winnings as well. LeBron is amazing and deserves all the accolades for his longevity, but without another title, he doesn't move the needle for me of millions like me

Can't say it's propaganda when the same media said earlier that same week that he should take a back seat so Reeves and dlo could shine. They both were coming off big games vs the bucks and ppl foolishly said "are the Lakers better without LeBron" the next morning. It was literally on first take the next day. So he scores 16 and now that's a goose egg?? Where was dlo and Reeves?? Where was AD?? Why do they need 25 plus from a 40 year old when he's clearly holding them back??

11/11 on free throws? Pretty sure I saw him air ball one of his last free throws. I’m sure he was gassed but make sure you got the right stats Colin haha

Maybe colin’s most out of touch casual basketball take. Just put edey with the likes of giannis jokic shaq hakeem and duncan 😭😭😭does he even watch ball? Sure edey is dominating the college level because he is a senior…his offensive game is very limited past 5 feet and he will get ran off the court in transition and in pick and roll. Colin really doesnt watch basketball just says whatever

Just compared a guy who posts up and has no other tools to the most fundamentally sounds post players with mid range games and anomalies at there position in embiid giannis and jokic who do way more than just work in the paint
