I was lucky enough to have married my soulmate and we were together for 34 wonderful years until cancer took him 14 years ago. 😢 He and I had 2 beautiful daughters and he loved his girls more than himself!!!! I was the disciplinarian, but our girls turned out fabulous!! Your song says it all!! I went to a concert of yours in Thompson-Boling Arena years ago by myself and it was one of the BEST concerts I’ve ever seen!!! I’ll put your concert right up there with The Eagles!!!! My daughter is in foster care in Tennessee I’m fighting for her.

My Dad passed away almost 2 years ago, in one of our last phone conversations he told me, always remember, no one loves you like your old Dad! Oh how I miss him.

Teary eyed father here praying God makes me the kind of father my daughter needs. The kind of dad that shows her what a good Christian man is, what a good husband is.

My dad and I aren’t close at all. I’d say he’s barely in my life, and because of that, I know how important they are. I was always so jealous of girls who had great fathers. I often wonder how different my life would’ve been had mine been around. If I ever get married, he won’t walk me down the aisle. Dads are so important in this world. I wish they were more valued. Great song. Really beautiful.

This was our daddy-daughter dance at her wedding. I listened to this song everyday for months so I wouldn't cry that day. It didn't help it still makes me tear up. Daughters are the greatest gift a man can ever receive

My condolances to you. I almost died of cancer in 2018. The thought of leaving my daughter at age 4(as she were then) was just heartbreaking. Im sure your father felt just as strongly for you as i do my daughter and you being in his life meant the world to him i promise you that! Seeing a daughter being born as a father is an unexplainable love and even if he is gone now his love for you is still around im sure in your heart. Hope the pain lessens for you and im sure your father wants you to think about the happy times you hopefully shared together. Stay strong 🤜🤛

Even though I don't have a daughter, I have a son, I feel the same way about my son.

My dad passed on on 14March 2021 from liver and kidney failure. This song reminds me about him sooo much and everytime i listen to it i end up in tears.

im lucky enough to have 3 beautiful girls and let me tell you. when they are born you couldn't imagine loving them any more then you do right now but the love only grows more day by day.

My dad loves me the most he will walk me down the aisle when I get to that age and he will be there for all the troubles. I love you dad.

Im not ashamed to admit this song made me cry. My daughter is almost 10 now. Ive completely and proudly dedicated my entire life to me daughter. Shes more than everything to me. I wont stop protecting her until i die. And even after that if i can.

My daughter was born on Father's Day 2013. The first prayer I said holding her was to let me at least be there for her wedding day. The phone message at the end did me in, but he got to be there just as I hope to be. Incredible song and video.

My dad has been an oilfield worker since I was little and he would be gone for weeks at a time, the best times were when he came home. I would ask for him and was always by his side when he was home. I'm 21 now and I'm still the same way 😂

Lost my dad to cancer in 2019 when he was 79. He always let us know how proud he was of his children and his grandchildren. He wasn't there in person to see his oldest granddaughter graduate from medical school and get engaged to the love of her life this week, but we know he is in our hearts.

THIS is the Zac Brown I LOVE!!!! Thank you for this! It is the truth for so many families for many diversified reasons!

You said it all! I am grown adult woman and Always always needed my dad, unfortunately he wasn't there for me. Never was! If you have Daughters, be there for them, even when they are adults. Trust me, they need you, even when they don't tell you. Be there!! Hug them, tell them you are suppportive not matter what. The relationship between a dad and daughter makes a huuuuge difference in their healthy life style.

There is something truly special between a father and daughter. My daddy passed away when I was young, so I never got to dance with him as an adult. I sometimes dream about what it would be like. I'm just so grateful my girls have an amazing daddy. And I can't wait to watch their bond grow ❤❤

A year ago this past April, my daddy got diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. He was almost at 4, and I’ve never been more scared in my life. I still need him. Thankfully daddy beat it and I still have him. Cancer/chemo was rough on him though. He now has to wear a colostomy bag and now he was just diagnosed with moderate diabetic retinopathy, but I’m thankful he’s still here. He’s still my daddy and I’m damn proud of him. I wouldn’t know what to do without him. He’s still my hero and the greatest man I know. ❤❤

This is an absolutely beautiful song and so is I'll Be Your Man. They both make me tear up every time I hear them & I don't even have a daughter!! Only sons!!

I was 23 when my dad died unexpectedly. Two days before he died, we were hanging out at a family bbq and he made my new husband promise to always love and take care of me. Never knew as I pulled out of the driveway that day (with Dad giving me a hard time) that it was the last time I'd ever see him. Thank you for reminding me that my dad was and is always there for me.

This suddenly made me realize and recall all the things my dad has done and still doing for me 😭❤

Truly a tear jerker, and remarkable song. Though my wife is the second piece to my daughters heart so I would just replace that in the song for me. My daughter will forever have my heart until the day I die.

I don't have a daughter but I have a son. I work 14-18 hours per day 6 days per week and I'm away from my hometown 80% of the time. I miss my little man more than anything in the world. I miss him so much that this song made me cry and helped me make my mind up. I'm quitting tomorrow morning and going to start my own business so I can have the time to spend with my son
