My dad was killed a year and a half ago in a hit and run accident. He was my rock, I was his tag along, trying to go everywhere he went and tried to do everything he did. I first heard this song on the radio about a week after he died, it never ceases to make me bawl like a baby.

This song gets me in my feelings every time. I was lucky to have an amazing dad and now An amazing son. I hope I’m half the father my dad was.

Amen to that, if I can be half the dad mine was, that’s a win.
Lost my dad suddenly 10 years ago. Went to wake him up to ask him to go eat breakfast and he was gone. Mom died 8 years before him and I was an only child. 3 years ago I was with my wife, our 2 little girls, and our son on vacation in Florida. After getting settled in I went to the grocery store to get things we needed and this song came on, which I had never heard before. It took me the better part of 5 minutes after to collect myself so I could go in to shop. It was horrible losing my best friend, my idol, and my dad. But the worst part is that he never got to meet his grandchildren and after his passing, roughly 2 years after, I got very successful in my career and I always wonder how proud he would have been of me. I try my very best to raise my kids as well as he raised me. He made me so much a better person, and I hope to get to thank him one day.

My old man never met his grandkids either (he met his daughter-in-law). -- 6 months after Dad died, I was in a grocery store, and saw some avocados, I thought Oh, I will buy dad a couple.... As I reached for them, I recalled, no, no I guess I won't. -- bothering ever hurt as much as losing my old man.
My dad played this for my grandpa at his funeral, real tear jerker

Alan Jackson has a song called Drive that will make you feel the same way. About the relationship between father and his children. Lee Brice has another great song called When I drive your truck. About his brother not coming home from the serving.

Yes, true story of him and his dad. Great song, touching for sure! Many of us have lost our fathers. My eyes sweating again.
First time I've ever heard this song. Lost my old man in 2013 and I cried from beginning to end. Damn that song hit me like a ton of brick's.

Shout out to my old man and all of the other dads out there. I love you, Pop!
Thank you Sushi for playing this song. I lost my dad a year ago. I heard the line about feeling the callous on his hands. My dad’s hands were so calloused and rough from hard work, if he ever got arrested (which he never did) they would not have been able to take his fingerprints. The part of the song about meeting him again, that really got me choked up. Thank you ❤️
This song is soo hard for me to listen too without crying. I lost my ol’ man on 2/9/22. half of me died when I got the call of his passing. I stayed by his side for 5 hours until the corners took him, I still remember the coldness of holding his hand. I love you paps, the girls miss you like crazy. Hope I’m making you proud. Love , Jojo
I buried my Father 4 months ago. I played this song at his funeral. I couldn’t even give his eulogy, my wife had to do it for me. Which I appreciate her more than anyone could know. My Father was my Superhero. Did we have times when I was young that we didn’t agree,of course we did. He was laid to rest with military honors (retired Air Force). This song just really hits home. Love and miss him everyday. I just never thought about what it would be like to say goodbye forever.
this song gets me in my feelings every time and every time i listen to it, it reminds me of my grandpa of how much of a great dad he was to my father, may god bless him, and america.
Crying with you, I lost my dad a few years back and I didn’t get to say goodbye.

I’m 33 years old and so happy to still have my old man around… better late than never, but finally learning what a beast he is. The best provider and protector I’ve ever known. I love you dad
Beautiful crazy by luke combs. Tugs at the heart strings every time..
Every time I watch her I fill like I need to give her a tissue. I like her she pretty cool in my book. She's learning new music how cool..
Thank you Too Sushi for taking the time to react to our many favorite music videos, from all the sushi nation we appreciate your emotion that you share with us and your time. Thank you
If this one got you, check out Chris Stapleton's "Daddy Doesn't Pray Anymore."
Zac brown band “goodbye in her eyes” is a great song and so is “all alright”.
Thank you for this Sushi. It had me thinking of my father and swatting at a tear or two. I just found another favorite song, thanks.
This song means more to me than any song ever released. I lost my father in late 2018 of ALS he was only 64. I get cheated of years with him. I spent most of my time with. We work together my whole life and hung out when we weren’t working. He was my best friend. I’ve had a very hard time moving on from his death but I’m getting better slowly.

YAY so glad you made it Amber!
If you look in the corners of the pictures. These are photos of all of the band members and their dads. It says each of the band member's names and family pictures of their childhood.
Wikipedia states that Zac and his wife of 12 years have five children, one of which is a son. This is a great song. Years ago I saw this wonderful band in Raleigh, NC. Girl if you ever get the chance, it is well worth the price of a ticket...
:) you dropped a tear on your shirt! It happened at 4:17 into your vid. Love the fact that you really do show your feelings. :)
Today would have been my mom's 82nd birthday. Her and dad married just a month shy of 51 years when she passed. Dad will have been gone 4 years on the 23rd of February. Can't think of one without the other. God Bless. Don't apologize for the tears. I shed them too
This was my brothers favorite song. He was always worried about losing him. And we lost my brother first.hardest song to listen to
Saw him in Baton Rouge and they were GREAT!!
My dad was my best friend, he passed in 2015. Lol my son used to call me gigantor when he was a child, still does sometimes, I’m 6’2” and he’s about 5’8”. He takes after his mom she’s 5’. This song really hits home.
Lost my dad 8 years ago and this year he would have been 100 in about 3 weeks. I already finished a video using the song by the Chi Lites called, "Let Me Be The Man My Daddy Was," which is just as heart-felt like this song. Think I'll use this song on my next video dedication for my father.
They're pictures of each of the bandmates with their fathers. If you notice in one of the corners it says each of their names.

I like how the flowers match the shirt. Nice reaction!
Miss my old. Passed away 9 years and the night before he pass he told me "I love son". First and only time he said those words to me. This song gets me everytime i hear it. You should react to Jason Michael Carroll - Alyssa Lies
I love songs about the fathers. Because it makes me feel closer to my old man. Thank you for reacting to several of the songs I listen to.
Sushi please don't stop doing reactions. I love you and your channel because you listen to these stories and you show your true emotions and you don't hide it or edit it. You straight up feel the emotion that comes with the stories of country music. Keep doing you girl, we all LOVE you for it. Best believe we are all shedding tears right along side you.
I’m not crying, you are!
I'm active duty military and last year I came home for my old man's birthday and I had our family turn this song on in the house before I walked in in uniform and that was one of the few times I've seen my dad cry in my whole life
If you ever get a chance go see them in person! Hands down the best band I have ever seen!! They love what they do and it shows!!
I'm sure you hear this all the time, but your channel is the best! You're always honest, kind, and really let your emotions show. Thanks for what you do!
TOO SUSHI, Another great one that this brings to mind is "Dad's Old Number" by Cole Swindell. You are guaranteed to cry on that one. I would love to see your reaction to it.
I’d like to see your reaction to Craig Morgan- ‘this ain’t nothing ‘
I’m a railroader and come home in overalls everyday my little girl loves it! And so do I.
Too Sushi I love the music you play . The music makes me calm.and relaxing.
I miss my Dad. He died 18 years ago from brain cancer at only 52. Only five years older than I am now! Thanks!!

You need to listen to their fun, toe tapping, makes you want to sing a long songs. Great messages too. Chicken Fried and Knee Deep. Either one will just make you feel happy.
Love your reactions to country
Your eyes seem to sweat a lot, don't worry mine do too sometimes. Your reaction to Brad Paisley, He didn't have to be is the same as mine. I am 42, have served my country in "uniform" for 24 years, and was adopted at 4 days old, into a family with 5 other siblings, all girls. My dad never made me feel like I wasn't his, and since his name is Guy, I always tell him that he is the best "Guy" that I know. Never lose your heart. God bless you and yours.
Sushi, there are a lot of men & women who wished they had parents ( Moms & Dads ) who they could look up to as expressed in this music video. Unfortunately, there is the other side of the coin, where there wasn't/aren't such role models, and that hurt is really deep and last forever or at least a lifetime !!! Just being real, it is so right to experience these feelings good/bad, and dealing with them in a healthy/positive way. Always, Syn Silver !!!
There's just something about u too suchi... Ur reaction gives a more emotional view on each song

AMAZING SONG
This is one of the songs we played at my daddy’s funeral.
You need to listen to Zac Brown Band - Highway 20 Ride. It’s about a father who doesn’t have custody of his son and the sacrifice he makes to see his son.
Ray Charles and Willy Nelson “Seven Spanish Angels”
