My parents were divorced by the time I was born. My father was never a perfect man, but he was always there for me. I know his life was harder than he ever let on, but this song helps me remember to love my father and appreciate the pain he went through, so I hope you know that your children need you ms one day they’ll appreciate everything you’ve done and always do

Zac Brown band has a deep rabbit hole. Chicken fried, colder weather, free/into the mystic live at red rocks concert is my favorite.

It's a good time but as a weekend dad damn I can't hear this song and not tear up

Colder weather is a really good track. They also do a track with Chris Cornell that is pretty great called Heavy is the Head. Both are well worth the listen, even if you don’t do a react video.

This song hits different when you are actually living it.

3:46 what??? This puts you in a good mood? This song is heartbreaking. Sometimes you reactors don’t listen to a damn word of the song, and if you do, the meaning goes straight over your heads. This is about a dad’s heartbreaking every single time he has to make the drive to drop his son back at his moms home, and about being sad the entire time he’s without him. If this makes a feel good song to you, then you’re not listening or comprehending.

I've seen a lot of concerts, and this is definitely a MUST SEE band. Fantastic musicianship and harmonies

My dad and I have this as our ringtones for each other. Definitely brings tears but also healing. And oh my when they sang it at the concert we were at together….

I love the Zac Brown Band. They're so talented. Their harmonies are great. I can always listen to a song from this band. Zac has what I consider a unique voice and style. The way he belts out the lyrics in some parts of the songs I feel is quite a talent. Thanks for the reaction.

If you just heard the TUNE to Highway 20 Ride, you would think that it was a happy song. When you absorb the WORDS, it's a choke-up song! Kind of like Piano Man by Billy Joel: The TUNE itself seems pretty benign, but when you absorb the words, it tells kind of a sad story.

Zac Brown Band is AN EXCELLENT rabbit hole to go down. I remember ZB as an upincommer sitting in with the House band at the Southern Comforter Bar and Grill in Conley GA. Back about 96-98.

This band is tight. Some absolutely incredible musicians, great harmonies, and song writing. They have a full catalog of great stuff. One of my favorites. I know you love the sad songs, so I get it. It's beautiful.

As a mother who pays child support, not court ordered but because I agreed to let my boys go with their father, I wanted to help. I live in WA state and my ex/boys live in CA. I drive every weekend, and get them the summers/holiday breaks. It kills me not to have them everyday but I feel we made the right decision. This song speaks so f*cking hard to my soul.

As a divorced father, this hits hard. For 17 years I have had to settle for weekends only.

Feel good.....not if you're the dad making that drive. I drove across the state of Florida twice every other weekend to get my kids and drop them off. Even my kids said they didn't know how I did it. I always told them, wait until you have kids. Then you'll understand.

I'll cut him some slack: I think, like me, the first times you hear this song, you absorb the TUNE, but not the WORDS. When you absorb the WORDS, then it chokes you up. Kind of like Piano Man by Billy Joel: The tune sounds nice, but the words tell a sad story.

@@timothymayer3142 I also think that, if he watched a music video of this song, with footage of fathers dropping off and picking up their kids, it would have really rammed the message home to him. I admit, the first two times I heard this song, I was drawn in, because I liked the ENDING so much: "Oh oh ohh oh oh oh oh oh!" Piano Man: I was drawn in by the unique harmonica parts. Only when I listened to the words, did I realize that he was describing a bar full of lonely people.

Try old school songs from the 80's

I gave this a thumbs up, but you say this is a song you cruise around in listening to this to make you feel good…. You noticed the instrumental, the vocals and whole band in rhythm but your are missing the true feeling and seasoning to this song, it’s much more powerful than it’s feel good feeling.

It don't put me in a good mood, reminds me of my single momma days and the pain my sons felt over not being with their daddy.

Song is heartbreaking, a beautiful song but there’s nothing uplifting about this one.

He has to drive hours to see his son, spends time with his son and drives a long way back home again. Not a feel good song. He wishes he could use the long driving time with his son!!
