I'm sure the people who do medicine and engineering would find producing such beautiful art harder than what their field is. It's all a matter of what you like im sure they love what they do and we love what we do. That is what makes it easy or difficult; how much you love it.

Love these videos keep them coming, wish there was more but I know that sketchbooks are very personal and secret to most people. I use these videos as a brain warm-up to get me started for a 2-3 hour session of sketching or just doodling. I don't like to show my sketchbook to people unless they ask... well more like beg me to show it to them.

My girlfriend is currently attending SVA in the photography major. I must say, the more I learn about your school the more jealous I become haha I am an animation student at a different school (wont use names) and I'm horribly disappointed in how much I feel like I'm being dressed up to be sold instead taught for the fun of art... but these videos do give me the chance to enjoy small parts of your lessons, and I am very thank full for that. So thank you very much!

Because its not. It is challenging and demanding but its still fun, like a game. Art is what I do in my spare time to take a break from real work and no matter how hard you try to convince yourself you can never admit that art history and life drawing classes are harder than medicine or engineering.

I have to say, from doing animation for years in college, in a fairly renown college for that subject, I did life drawing and there was students in the class that were doing better life drawing work off the model but take the model away and ask them to do a nice pose with weight and describing the form, it all went wrong.. she does this really well

Sometimes I really envy art students. It must be nice not having to do anything all day except for draw.

hey, do you see those movies backgrounds and effects, those animations and cartoons? most of them were previously made by art students, that worked hard and designed the things you use everyday, even your computer was designed by someone. I believe in your childhood you loved to watch cartoons, and they were also made by someone who draws ;)

I'm only 14, but i'm going into high school sculpting and visual art classes. I want to know what it takes to get to be a student in one of these schools. Any answer would be helpful, thanks.
