I love Rive Gauche so much. We all love to hate on reformulations but we cant deny this is still so good. I used to hate the 'deodorant bottle' but i guess i just didnt understand the concept. I now understand that the bottle is perfect for this perfume. I love your review of Rive Gauche because i always sence some kind of coldness/ detachement in Rive Gauche after the first spray. I always have a backup bottle before they also discontinue this one.....LOVE THE VIDEO❤❤❤❤

You are so brave to review Rive Gauche. I'm not sure it has aged well with today's love of vanilla, oud and amber Cold, cold heart. I have a bottle from circa 2005. It IS surprising that L'Oréal is still making this one and kudos to them for still making it and kudos to you for this rare and wonderful review.

I watched an old french advert for Rive Gauche here on YT, picture this.. A beautiful Brunette dressed to the nines in blue and black is running very late for something, she runs through a busy city block dodging and winding through people so she can arrive on time, finally she arrives at a courthouse, goes inside, kisses her attorney on both cheeks and sits next to him. She spritzes herslef with Rive Gauche as she faces the judge and prepares for battle! Classic😊

I love Rive Gauche, but I don’t feel comfortable wearing it because I’m afraid people around me are going to let’s say “not enjoy it”. I should just wear it anyway, but I haven’t let myself do it yet.

I have been wearing this perfum since I was 18, over 40 years ago !! Still regret they discontinued the eau de parfum.

Such a beauty, a transition between old school and modernity. Saint Laurent was a visionner, and this fragance tells so much about him, and his universe as a creator.

I absolutely love Rive Gauche!! It reminds me, of when I was a little girl in the 1970's. My step grandmother wore it back then, and it smelled so delicious. My mom wore Prince Matchabelli Aviance in the late 70's, and that reminded me a lot of Rive Gauche. I have a 1.6 oz bottle of it, that I bought back in 2008. The back of the bottle says "YvesSaintLaurent Parfums and is made in France. It has no batch code on the bottom. It has no mention of L'Oreal on the bottle. All I know is that it is sublime!! Thank you for your review Dacob. Now I want to try the current formula, just to compare.

I throw a lot of shade at L'Oreal for the way they handle the brands under their umbrella, but respect must be paid for the fact that this is still being produced.
