This is the first time I've seen him and I'm VERY disappointed by his lack of artistry, he's just a showpony-a jumper but not an elegant skater, he spends half his time preparing for a jump.

People keep saying how yuzuru seems to be able to build up momentum out of nowhere and i can’t agree more. He can literally do quads and triple axels literally from almost no momentum to suddenly having them before jumps. He is the king of figure skating for a reason. His movements always look effortless and he just glides on ice like he belongs there.

but him doing only jumps got boring after a few moments. i understand how difficult it was, but regardless, doing only jumps gets boring, even with the greatest of skaters.

His true inhuman nature is delivered not (only) with jumps, but with pure musicality (like he really plays music on ice using the skates) and amasing sence of body movement...

Golden heart greatest ice skater in the world. He started at 3 skating. He had no life then we met. I miss him and want him back.

He executes his routines with so much beauty and grace. He makes it look so effortless, but we'll never even fathom the amount of blood, sweat and tears he puts in to get every element so flawless. He's an inspiration!

Yuzuru has blown my mind for about 7 years with his technical skills, his artistry, his daring, his stamina and determination to be the best. He's even submitted his university thesis on jumps and their technical scoring. Beyond that he is beautiful and lovable.

He is a beautiful gift from God!

He's like in a fairytale books, unbelievable but its real. He can fly, jump high, dance and many more movements thats soooo amazing. You're the best in the world Yuzuru Hanyu. I'll keep you in my heart forever. ❤️❤️❤️💪🏆⛸️

I think she(the commentator) couldn't believe that it's possible for a human being to deliver such performance...and yes Yuzu suffered a lot as an Asian in the ISU competitions. It's past now so let's hope for the best.

I have never seen such an amazing skater. Spin after spin , flawless in execution , so clean it's as if he's flying. Every movement he makes means something and it's why he looks so spectacular on the ice.

I've never taken an interest in skating until the first video I watched of YH and I couldn't stop watching. He's absolutely mesmerizing! He has this relationship with the ice, it's odd but it seems so different from anyone else I've seen skate. They might have the same moves but compared side by side it seems like they are skating on the ice where YH is almost one with the ice. Sounds weird I know but there's really something YH has that's not quite like anyone else. 💞💫❤️‍🔥

He can do all this and I get dizzy standing up from a chair. Humans really are amazingly diverse 🤯

I already knew/watched all of these but seeing them all compiled together....🤯🔥🔥 just a small correction, in september 2018 under 5system SU got 104 in the overinflated b-challenger that is Lombardia Trophy. But to compensate, Yuzu set all 3 records (SP&FS&total) in a single comp not only one time but THREE times!!! NHK15, GPF15 and also, according to the trusted Wikipedia article, GPHelsinki2018! He should also be the only Men's skater who reset all 3 records in one comp across two different scoring systems in the IJS era (actually, the only Men's skater to even set records under 2different system in the IJS era, since none of the skaters setting records under 5GOE set records under 3GOE, aside Yuzu). This, for the people who claim Yuzuru is not consistent... He's actually the most consistent Men's world records-setter😘

И наконец-то довелось увидеть четверной аксель Hanyu, на тренировке в Сайтама - изумительно ! Великолепная прелюдия к предстоящему спектаклю в "TOKYO DOME". Многое из того что показано в фильме, - видано и по нескольку раз, но когда всё это разнообразие собрано в единый сегмент - мало сказать, что впечатляет. Здесь Yuzuru выглядит, извините, просто "монстром" без всякого негативного подтекста. Но как иначе воспринимать, не только визуально, но и разумом такую, казалось бы ирреальность того, что показано на экране ? Единственно подходящее слово : ФАНТАСТИКА ! I am mesmerized by his beauty and fluid motion. He was born to skate. He is not skating; skating is him. I’m 72 years and he makes me wish I was 25. Whew!! He knows how to play the camera and audience with that body and those eyes. I wish him every future success.

@@user-jx8ed9mq1l я на работе сказала, что пропускаю всё, чего бы мне этого ни стоило, оба раза. Ну как-то обошлось) Когда он за медалью вышел на костылях, зал рыдал. Как живы остались, до сих пор не понимаю. У него энергетика какая-то такая, что как будто непосредственно взаимодействует с каждым. Ничего, он до 40+ будет кататься, как Плющенко. Увидим ещё его на льду, и не раз) У меня такое чувство, что он к нам хотел бы приехать. Будут ещё времена)

That's technical virtuosity paired with stamina/strength. Comes from training very hard and extensively. That's what you learn in Ballett too, make tough stuff look easy and "light-weight". And Yuzuru is absolutely excellent in that. Edit: You can perfectly see his "drive" in the video where he has an accident during training and then skates with a bandaged head. He doesn't allow himself to give up, he pushes himself to the limits.

He is fantastic. I do not like when someone says they are robots or aliens or not human. I think that he is a human with amazing talent but manily a person who was work insaneley hard all his life. That is the commendable thing cause only few people has worked as hard as him. That is what makes him special, the amount of hard work, resilience and effort. Skating is beautiful. It is art and a beautiful sport too.

yuzuro might be one of the greats if not the greatest male figure skater ever. others practice their entire lives to skate like masters then he comes along and wipes them all off the chart. Talent is a fickle master for sure. he is wonderful graceful his executions are amazing.
