His nervous *gulp* when the host said that Yuzu would respond to the questions in English as well never fails to make me smile. The other one that has the same effect on me but isn’t in this compilation is when he realized that he had spoken so long in Japanese that it took 15 minutes to translate it into English and was also all that the conference could accommodate. His embarrassed face palm (actually more of forehead-table) was both hilarious and cute ❤

Maxro, you always do a great job. Thank you! One segment I find hilarious is when the journalist asks Yuzuru whether he thinks he's cool. That was a stupid question. What makes it really funny is his expression following Yuzuru's answer. He obviously didn't expect that answer. Yuzuru sure can outsmart journalists! 👍

He had that expression because the Japanese do not *ever* brag. It just isn't done. I don't think Yuzu was bragging, though, just-as you say-outsmarting the talk show host (the host there is Nakai Masahiro, former member of the J-Pop group SMAP)

@@amyoinyokohama I did not think Yuzuru was bragging because he's always humble. The question showed a lack of respect on the part of the host. I can't understand why he asked the question. However, there is a lovely interview with Yuzuru that was made in Canada where the emotional aspect of skating was discussed. I like that interview because I think the interviewer was sensitive to Yuzuru's artistic side.

We really don't have a similar phrase.
