Yuuzhan Vong: New Villain After Episode 9 [Fully Explained Backstory] - Star Wars Explained
The Yuuzhan Vong were an incredible species not part of canon. They were extremely powerful with organic weapons and force resistant abilities. They wiped out and controlled entire worlds and galaxies.
If anyone is going to be the new big bad after Star Wars Episode 9 Rise of Skywalker, it should be the Vong. They're from far out in the Unknown Regions and could tie everything with the Skywalker saga somehow. Palpatine is hiding in the unknown regions, and Snoke is also from there. I think we'll get to learn more about that part of the galaxy, and I hope, the Vong are part of it in canon.

When are you going to do the ''what if yoda was addicted to ketamine and drove a 2002 honda civic''? im sure a lot of people have requested this already!
That's why Palpy made all those destroyers and superweapons. Because of they. He knew there was something lurking in the shadows beyond.
Too edgy for Disney, they;ll be toned down and kid friendly.
Rey Skywalker would kill half of them with a glare. The remaining half would decide they’re in love with her now and follow her about like Fin, periodically shouting “REEEY!!!”
Not gonna lie. If star wars was not mentioned, I would had thought this was a Warhammer 40k race.
Dude, the Yuuzhan Vong are in the top three coolest factions of the SW universe. We need an entire series on them, the Infinite Empire, and the Ancient Sith Empire!
A movie covering them would definitely have to be rated R
Please don’t ruin that story too.
Looks like Jedi is back on the menu boys!
Kathleen Kennedy: "The what now?"
Jedi:
They kinda look like the “orcs” of the star wars universe.
You know they’re cruel when even the dark side doesn’t want anything to do with them
"Symbiotic" relationship with their home planet - NOT "symbolic."
This book series was, by far, one of my favorite from ledgends. If any have not read it, you should. Even if it is not cannon. It gives you such a deep look into the force, and how a Jedi uses the force. It has super sad moments, and triumphant ones. Of corse, with 14 books in the series, there are some that were slower than others, but as a whole,....one if the best. I would love to see it come to life on screen.
The Vong conflict also forced the Jedi to rethink their perspectives about the Force in general and the very nature of the "dark" and "light" side. Corran Horn and Luke have a good discussion about this after Horn kills the Vong battlemaster in a duel...which of course isn't the Jedi way. Horn didn't just kill the Vong warrior...he hesitated before delivering the final blow because he wanted the Vong to KNOW that he was beaten. He wanted to send a message. Very interesting stuff.
The Vong:
Imagine an entire species of BDSM
God I love the Vong, something totally different to what I’d come to expect from Star Wars when I read the books when I was younger and wanted to see them on the big or small screen ever since!
