Yuriorkis Gamboa vs Michael Farenas Highlights
One of the most spectacular fights in the career of Yuriorkis Gamboa against Filipino tough guy Michael Farenas on the undercard of Pacquiao-Marquez IV. The golden time of HBO Boxing.
Yuriorkis Gamboa may have been coming off of a long layoff from boxing action, but he didn't disappoint fans in his return. Gamboa put on a full display of his quickness and elusive defense as he consistently strung together combinations and dodged Farenas' counter shots.
It wasn't all smooth sailing for Gamboa, though. Farenas was able to floor Gamboa once. Ultimately, it wasn't enough to overcome Gamboa's two knockdowns. Yuriorkis unanimously outpointed Michael Farenas and won a vacant interim junior lightweight title.

Michael Farenas is sich a good fighter. I wonder his promoter never pegged hom for bigger fights... he is so courageous and so brave... he has the power! Though in this fight he is just a beginner... but what an opposition he afforded the seasoned and experienced Gamboa...

if i remember because im curious too,i watched one of his interview he said they cant find a boxer who wants to fight him bcus hes a skilled fighter not an easy fight,,high risk low reward for the boxer who will fight him,

His last fight was in 2017, and he won via KO. I assume he retired after that
Gamba never Protects his face, if he had a better management team and just better trainers he can be something different, he has so much good stuff, just not good enough defense

He still got hands but never had defense, he has a good chin for the amount of damage he takes per fights. He needs more defense and he’d competed a lil better, I’m still rooting for tank there’s no way I can root for an American over a Cuban.
