that’s because korean beauty standard is so different than the western side too. unfortunately, its much more cruel and judgmental. they basically need to look perfect which is ridiculous and just plain sad.

People saying "they have a different standard of beauty." as an excuse for toxic ideas of beauty is just.... lol.... like... that's the whole point.. just because their standards are different doesn't mean they're healthy..... there are people in other countries that have these same views...... still not healthy.

That's the thing THANK YOU!!! Being part of another culture doesn't give something an automatic pass. Toxic ideas are still toxic. Mentally, having this kind of stuff fed to you isn't healthy at all. Especially when they go by the whole "being thin is the beauty standard" instead of focusing on individual health standard. Nobody is saying to just be unhealthy because that's not glorified in any culture. But perpetuating toxic beauty standards to an audience that most likely has growing minds that would take this and think this is the standard they must attain... that's not right.

If korean media and idols stop glorifying 100pounds as being the prettiest, then more kids would have higher self-esteem and less depression. She's super pretty whatever her weight. And she enjoyed so much cooking for Fun-Staurant, experiencing different meals, that it should be appreciate as it is. Diet aside, just a tip from a rice paper maniac: dipping rice papers in luke warm water will do the job 😅 The time it takes for the rice paper to soften will help you to prepare the fillings. I used to have an eating disorder and it looks like most of them do. But I've also seen that some people thinks it's too extreme and does not care as much. This!! Also to eat lots of protein and build muscle while losing fat mass so that you can be less restrictive with your diet and maintain your body while having a toned look too, would definitely say one can achieve the toned look with weights. Cardio doesn’t do much compared to weights. Please please please don’t work out with unhealthy standards, understand how your body works, how it reacts to food etc. It’s a process and it’ll take time but you’ll always reach your goals and maintain them if you have healthy and realistic outlook when it comes to your body. It’s a journey personal to everyone and needs to be tailored accordingly.

15 kg in 5 months is still a lot and would require quit a bit of a caloric deficit... you would have to be quite heavy to begin with if your nutritionist thinks this is an acceptable amount to lose in only 5 months... Usually aiming to lose 0.5 kg (or less) in a week is more recommendable because it does not require such a huge caloric deficit.

Trust me she think she look fat, but when you see in person. They actually really slim and skinny, but yea I still understand they have beauty standards of fat. But damm that sad how they make her feel insecure too. And she also scared too

I see comments saying like she shouldn't promote like diet in her weight, they have a different standard in korea and specially for girls it's really tight also this is common for Actors/Idols or Artists to be 50kg or under

Koreans idols like Jessi, hwasa, etc are setting new standards about body appearance and confidence. If korean media and other celebrities stop glorifying being 100pounds as being the prettiest, then more kids would have higher self-esteem and less depression. I heard depression is severe in korea and kids try these insane diets then end up in the hospital. This program could have opted out her saying shes overweight because she's like 105lbs

I mean i didn't say it was right but it's just that we can't really change how people think, even if other people or idols are changing the standards there will always be those people that will never change on how they look at others. Don't be misunderstood by me it is just my opinion

more like eat balance food, but a lot of korean actress only do light exercise and diet like these, because if they gain muscle it will ruin some of their image in particular drama / movie and it's faster to drop their weight in just 7 days, some idol can't even eat anything including water 🙄 because they need to lose weight literally under 50kg (since with exercise you gain weight but you got holly mama body shape tho) i read and watched some of korean beauty standard, over 50kg means you're FAT disgusting i know 😭
