Well Luffy and Zoro got the not showering part down. According to Oda those two only bathe once a week, which probably just means whenever Nami has had enough of the stench and locks them in the shower

5:07 The sleeping part was inaccurate. People didn't sleep on the floor or deck of a vessel, you slept in hammocks, so you would move with the ship as it swayed. Also, it wouldn't have been pitch black darkness, there were lanterns and candles that would allow the crew to see. Oh yeah, and Pirate crews were experienced, that's what made them so dangerous. When they were Monarchy sanctioned Privateers, many of them were once apart of a Navy and trained sailors before they turned to Piracy.

October is coming up, so a good scary thing to do a slight deep dive, would be _the Backrooms._ Alicia would like that, due to it not being too scary but tense enough to keep you on edge.

The pirates should have just used chemo to cure scurvy.

The part at 8:10 about some commenter thinking that vitamin C cures cancer is extra funny in light of recent news: my headcanon is that she took a single Flintstones gummy vitamin and was instantly cured of cancer.

If you want to take a fun ride into the wild world of hardtack (and other historical dishes), I'd recommend "Tasting History with Max Miller." He specifically has a video on hardtack and grog as eaten by pirates, as well as a video on U.S. Civil War era hardtack and hell fire stew. Honestly, he's a pretty fun watch if you're into learning about the history of food and modern attempts to replicate dishes from centuries to millennia ago.

Honestly when I'm at work late at night or getting home early, I prefer to watch your reaction videos so im not having to constantly pause a video and I get some fun commentary

But basically 682: The Unkillable Reptile is like Doomsday from DC except more insane, he adapts really quickly to things and evolves and gains powers based on things he comes in contact with, so when he escaped by making people erupt in laughter like 999 did to him, it's because his encounter with 999 imprinted on him and he learned from 999's powers. I won't go any further into it, but you should definitely check out SCP-682 soon, and while you're at it I'd also strongly recommend SCP-173(another very important and popular SCP)

Well to be fair hes describing pretty much every sailing career of that era. There were upsides depending on who the captain was. Pirates gave us the first health insurance and retirement plans for getting money based on whichever body part youd lose during the voyage. Theres also letters of mark where pirates would become defacto mercanaries with free reign to pillage certain ships. And that pirate crews were almost all volluntary unlike press gainged military ships. And the brutality wise thing. Pirates had two jolly rogers theyd fly. A black one and a red one. Black one youd get the whole parlay thing with each side being cordial to each other, maybe the merchant trying to flee a little bit before pulling over but its all good in the end. Actually fighting back would get brutal because now youre making everything more dificult for everyone. When the red flag was flying though… dump the cargo and run. That one meant someone pissed them off with a raid or something and only one or two people will come out alive just to spread word of what happened.

1:06 I did too, it wasn't anything clever and realistically I'd probably get sued, but forever ago, I wanted to have a restaurant with video game themed food, and an arcade area, I was going to call it pixel pizza, have pixelated pancakes and even have character designs, a square pizza with the toppings being arranged into a pacman level and the pizza separator that looks like a tiny table would look like pacman, burgers with pixel patties with a side of crinkle cut fries but using something to cut them to be more pixely(very original 🙄), for kids with birthdays they'd get either minecraft cake or portal cake(im positive that every kid now would choose the minecraft cake), hot chocolate in cups that look like cuphead and mugman, chili dogs in a sonic themed basket, some other stuff I can't remember, so if some random person who could capitalize on this shit idea sees this, good luck, you can have this idea, if you succeed, good for you.
