Thanks man i was able to replace my wheel bearing basically followed along
Thank you, much needed! Repair shop priced this out at $2300.00!
Yeah the price is crazy !!! Detroit axel is my go to !!! I got the whole front end kit for like 250 , came with everything ball joints , wheel bearing , control arm with ball joint , few more parts , Napa wanted 1200 and ship wanted 1500 to install !
Hey, I have a 2014 Chev Tahoe LS and your "How To" was invaluable. I really appreciate you taking the time to post something like this as you helped me save 657 dollars (CAD), I was able to buy all the parts I needed and some tools including a torch set with the money I saved doing it myself, big success so thank you.
I watched several videos on wheel bearings. Yours is the best. Much more detailed.
Awesome video man! Thanks! I called several shops in my area and was looking at $700 for the front driver side. I bought parts for both sides for about $300. You saved me at least a a thousand bucks. Subscribed!

Great explanation. I'm putting mine in tomorrow. Thanks!
Man I sure do appreciate this video a lot..heard a grinding noise thought maybe it would be brakes drive 20 miles to the parts store noticed smoke went to look and dam wheel looks like it's gonna fall off so my pops said it's your wheel bearing so that's the goal for today looks like..this video broke everything down the way need be and will use it today to get er done..thank u for the time and the knowledge..wish me luck.
Top notch video brother much appreciated
Great point on the importance of using a torque wrench. I usually do not but I will this time.
Awesome video, doing mine this weekend.
Thanks for making a good video. It helps a lot.
Thanks for the video... and the link to the part both saved me time and money

No problem 👍
Great video. Nice camera work. Thanks!
Thank you ! Worked great.
Great video gathering my tools for the job
I just bought that same air hammer for a fence project. Glad I can use it for this.
Great video thanks! I did mine today after replacing the tie rod ends. Note, the top of the 3 bolts (the one directly underneath the upper control arm is a bear to get to unless you have a deep socket. Had to push the axle in to get some room to loosen the bolts too. That clip on the ABS was a tuff one to get off. I always end up never knowing how to undo the clips. Broke it but it still attached to the new line pretty good.
Great video nice step by step instructions and camera was on point with each step

Great video
You're the best 👌
Great video. Ty
Minnesota here to 👌🏼
Yo! Shout out to the shade tree mechanics in the north! I'm sick of watching how to videos from Florida, where it doesn't take an hour per bolt to break free from rust!!!!! Took me ALL DAY, to do a pad slap on my girlfriends Thunderbird one year! LMAO. Now I know enough to bring the HEAT and the air tools! Keep it classy!!!!! #Detroit
Do you think you could get the CV axle out if the hub is out without taking out the strut?
Lmaooo one of the best intros I’ve ever watched on YT 😂
Thanks bud
Nice
Great video! one single note tho...its better to check the torque specifications for your vehicle....My 2007 Chevy Avalanche listed 177 ft lb for the axle nut. Idk if the engineers just play around with numbers on different models or if the wheight of the car or something like that makes a difference...i just replace parts so if the book says 177 i torque it to that :)
Great video- Thank you. One question - How are you filming this? How is your camera mounted (around your neck?) excellent. PS - All that rust, drives me crazy.

You bet! Glad to help! I used a GoPro hero 7 Black camera with a chest mount for the wrenching scenes. Thanks for the comment!
How come you just didn’t take off the two bolts from the caliper bracket and took both caliper and bracket off as one unit? Just did this same job on my brothers Tahoe and that’s what I did.
Great video. Mine is a 2014 Denali and it was identical to your instructions except the torque spec was higher on the axel nut (177ft lbs according to the instructions that came with the bearing). You saved me some time and head scratching! Thanks!

185 foot pounds for the center nut 90 pounds for the housing bolts anything less and it will fail plus use blue lock tight on all the bolts and center nut

The correct specs for this application are as follows. 177lb torque on the axle nut. Hub is 65ft lb and the brake bracket is 80lb lug studs are 140 ft lb.

Haynes manual and SKF hub manufacturing states 177ft/lbs for axle nut at least for 2008 model year.
Why don’t you have a dust cap on the hub bearing? My ‘08 Tahoe does
If my front wheel shakes, is that because of the wheel bearing?
Thorough.
The fart at the beginning 😂😂
hey man what do i do if i dont got a friend to hold the brakes

Scroll to 4:00 in the vid. Thanks for the question
The most important thing about changing your hub barring’s is to torque the housing bolts to 90 foot pounds. And to torque the axle nut to 185 foot pounds or it will fail. Plus use blue lock tight on all the bolts and axle nut

So not 156 like he said?
I have a low roar on my 14 Yukon. It gets quiet when turning right only. I believe it’s the driver’s front

I have the same issue on my 09 Tahoe. Took it to Big O. They said I needed new ball joints. Replaced it and the noise is still there. Idk what’s going on
My 09 Yukon started grinding/growling. Now my ABS light came on, and my stabilitrak and traction control disabled itself. Does that all sound like wheel bearing problems?

Yea happend to me . Took a few months to diagnose
The sheep is calling you baa .baa
My tahoe is rumbling like a bastard, when I turn right the sound goes away so I figured that means its the right wheel bearing. Just changed the right bearing, Rumble is still here so that steering thing is just a myth lol. Gotta change other side tomorrow, these bearing suck to change. Fcking Tahoe rumbles so bad it makes the foot numb
Never put those screws back in when u change rotors everrrrr worst enemy
thanks for the fart /
