Hey, I have a 2014 Chev Tahoe LS and your "How To" was invaluable. I really appreciate you taking the time to post something like this as you helped me save 657 dollars (CAD), I was able to buy all the parts I needed and some tools including a torch set with the money I saved doing it myself, big success so thank you.

Awesome video man! Thanks! I called several shops in my area and was looking at $700 for the front driver side. I bought parts for both sides for about $300. You saved me at least a a thousand bucks. Subscribed!

Great video thanks! I did mine today after replacing the tie rod ends. Note, the top of the 3 bolts (the one directly underneath the upper control arm is a bear to get to unless you have a deep socket. Had to push the axle in to get some room to loosen the bolts too. That clip on the ABS was a tuff one to get off. I always end up never knowing how to undo the clips. Broke it but it still attached to the new line pretty good.

Yo! Shout out to the shade tree mechanics in the north! I'm sick of watching how to videos from Florida, where it doesn't take an hour per bolt to break free from rust!!!!! Took me ALL DAY, to do a pad slap on my girlfriends Thunderbird one year! LMAO. Now I know enough to bring the HEAT and the air tools! Keep it classy!!!!! #Detroit

Great video! one single note tho...its better to check the torque specifications for your vehicle....My 2007 Chevy Avalanche listed 177 ft lb for the axle nut. Idk if the engineers just play around with numbers on different models or if the wheight of the car or something like that makes a difference...i just replace parts so if the book says 177 i torque it to that :)

How come you just didn’t take off the two bolts from the caliper bracket and took both caliper and bracket off as one unit? Just did this same job on my brothers Tahoe and that’s what I did.

Great video. Mine is a 2014 Denali and it was identical to your instructions except the torque spec was higher on the axel nut (177ft lbs according to the instructions that came with the bearing). You saved me some time and head scratching! Thanks!

185 foot pounds for the center nut 90 pounds for the housing bolts anything less and it will fail plus use blue lock tight on all the bolts and center nut

The correct specs for this application are as follows. 177lb torque on the axle nut. Hub is 65ft lb and the brake bracket is 80lb lug studs are 140 ft lb.

Haynes manual and SKF hub manufacturing states 177ft/lbs for axle nut at least for 2008 model year.

The most important thing about changing your hub barring’s is to torque the housing bolts to 90 foot pounds. And to torque the axle nut to 185 foot pounds or it will fail. Plus use blue lock tight on all the bolts and axle nut

My tahoe is rumbling like a bastard, when I turn right the sound goes away so I figured that means its the right wheel bearing. Just changed the right bearing, Rumble is still here so that steering thing is just a myth lol. Gotta change other side tomorrow, these bearing suck to change. Fcking Tahoe rumbles so bad it makes the foot numb
