Well, it's a business still and they're an investment for the company. If they can't give enough income for the company, of course they would have very low budget for that. Anyways, as long as they're not being mistreated. Atleast they were provided an apartment

​@@asielia if the company didn't had a lot of money, why would the idols have money 😭 of course the company would have to get them a place, specially cause fr promotion they would need them to be all together so they can pick them up fast and get early to promotion places¿ i think some idols that are not promoting go to their parent's house to stay sometimes tho. most idols are still teenagers, so again, they wouldn't have much money to rent or buy a place (if they are still building their popularity)

I think the thing is they have the funds to get each idols their own room, but they just won't. The fact that they had their own rooms immediatly after winning that awards proves it. Yes, living in a big appartment is a luxury but that's not the conversation, at this point in their career the company is supposedly making millions off of them, so the least they can do for the idols they overwork so much and take so much from is to give the best treatment possible in return. And just because someone had it bad doesn't mean things can't change and everyone else has to have it bad too

Y’all gotta dive deeper into kpop thing if you think that living in one luxurious apartment was mistreatment lol. Some 2nd/3rd Gen. idols had to squeeze into one tiny apartment or one tiny bedroom, even after debut but even that wasn’t mistreatment, because their agencies at that time just did not have the ability to provide them w better conditions and the idols trusted the agencies knowing that. But they grew together from then and as a results, 4th Gen. groups like IVE got better conditions even as rookies. And about IVE getting better treatment post Daesang- just a question guys, do you think a person earning $90k a year lives in better conditions or someone earning $200k a year does? IVE was already in good conditions, but now they’re in _better_ condition because of their progress, it’s not Starship being biased or anything💀

genuinely these comments are so funny. Many new groups share dorm apartments with one to two bedrooms and one washroom which often doesn't even have a shower. There's videos of a beautiful and spacious apartment IVE shared at debut, they were the farthest thing from being treated poorly!

As I said, I’m talking about the other comments thinking they were treated badly, when they actually have a really nice apartment at least compared to most apartments people live in here in Seoul. So at least when it comes to housing they treated quite well, especially compared to older generation idols.

What's wrong with sharing rooms in a luxury apartment? It's cool and if you're a rookie, it makes sense because rookies don't make huge money right off the bat. It's not mistreatment, especially if we are going to consider how many other idols have to share the apartment that is not even huge or luxurious and there are more members than 6-7.

That makes a ton of sense. They make more money, and bring the company more fame, they get better accommodations.

Hard work pays off. Period!

Everytine separate room come up always think about TREASURE…YG be giving them separate room each right from debut some even before pre-debut like their maknae already got separate room since he have to study and se other member too max 2 people/room . Yet they choose to stay together and make Asahi room as their hangout room even though they already had sitting room and Asahi stay with Ruto Jeongwoo never sleep in his room instead with Junghwan😅😅..Those boys are hella funny

I think YG was the first one to give rookie single room for every member. Nowadays I think SM and HYBE do that too

Anyone who screams mistreatment for the living situation is insane… on the harsher side of things you have groups like BTS who literally lived in a shoe box at the start of their career (it was probably a dorm that was meant for no more than 2 people) and somehow I think that a rookie group like IVE still gets better living situations than some bigger groups from massive companies. Even look at NCT, how many daesangs have they won and how many years have they been active yet it seems like most of them still share pretty small rooms. Nct luckily doesn’t have it as bad as BTS did at all but again IVE even has a more luxurious situation than NCT and they’re one of the biggest bg’s

Wonyoung and Yujin were NOT rookies. They had to live in the tiny, cramped dorms with Iz*one for 3 years before they moved into the larger and nicer Ive apartment. They EARNED that upgrade. Not to mention they both had several endorsements and solo gigs, earning Starship ALOT of money before Ive debuted. If Starship wanted to keep Wonyoung and Yujin at their company, they had to make more concessions than SM (the only big 4 company that doesn't allow rookies to sign solo endorsements or many solo schedules until they hit the 4-5 year mark).

@@NelleBear hhhhhh look ok just because 2 members of a 6 membered group weren’t rookies anymore doesn’t make the entire group not a rookie, in cases like Viviz where all members have debuted before, you can call that a non-rookie (and yet they are still officially referred to as a rookie group for whatever damn reason though literally everyone knows they aren’t). Living with someone else is NOT a torture sentencing. Get that through your stubborn mind. If they were so high and mighty on their golden horses to think they deserve only the utmost best top quality of everything then they wouldn’t be idols anymore bc that’s not how it works. Actors make a shit ton more money so they would invest in acting skills to do that. They clearly wanted to continue being idols and that means accepting the terms that come with it. And these terms were already pretty good to start with when compared to 99% of the industry.

It's fair, they probably have a bigger budget after the big recognition.

It seems that a lot of people here do not understand how basic economics works. I've seen a lot of comments saying that all idols should have their own apartment, regardless of how successful they are. Do you know how much a one bedroom apartment costs, on average, in Seoul? A quick Google search will tells us that it costs 500,000 KRW (425 USD) per month or $5,100 per year. Now multiply that by the average group size of, say, 5 or 6 members and you're looking at $25,500 to $30,600 per year. There's also the difference in costs for utilities for 1 vs 5 or 6 apartments to consider as well. Add to this the fact that the company also pays for the majority of all their other expenses, including food, transportation, medical and possibly even a clothing allowance and we're looking at a LOT of money to support a group. No one knows how well a new group will do when they debut. Because of this companies will minimize expenses as much as they can until the group gets established and start making real money. The money they save can be used for better promotions, more frequent comebacks (which cost a lot of money), higher quality music videos and so on. It just makes more economic sense to house the group in a single apartment, at least until the group gets to the point where it can support multiple apartments. It also seems that most group don't mind sharing apartments and rooms. If they're okay with it, why aren't you?

People commenting this as mistreatment should work first to know this is not a mistreatment. You aren't given all the benefits from starting. As you grow and achieve more you get more and more benefits. What was given to IVE initially was good enough for a rookie group. As they progress more they will get more and more good things and benefits. It's not mistreatment in any way. It's like you are working in a company you are a manager you get a normal car and house and you compare it to your CEO who gets a luxury car apartment and stock options and say it's mistreatment. I can understand if students or people who don't work yet are saying this coz they don't understand this but if working adults are saying this you guys really need to come back to the real world

Yes, the building that your favorite idol uses too, if other idols have to get the same treatment as Ive, Then Starship should be able to earn even more money! Starship currently makes a lot of money from Ive, and it's normal when Ive is treated better.

@@naralee1830 im in kpop from 5years and yes they still have trannie debt but why starship treat the popular group or money making group well while groups like mosta x and wjsn and cravity were treated like workers 🧐

I'm not even suprised, I could tell by the way they were treating less popular groups they don't care unless you actually bring big bucks in, until then you're nothing to starship. I'm glad IVE gets treated well but they should've always had good treatment and so should the other groups as well

Wonyoung and Yujin do the most and more famous than the rest coz they debuted once before, of course they're treated differently. They had separate rooms before, now they all have separate rooms. That just means they all worked hard and deserve good treatment.
