it was more mysterious than original, but the original was more violent...dark signer arc from 5ds can also be compared

I liked the part where he and Thelonius just straight-up fight at one point instead of duelling.

The last few episodes are just the charcters being forced into a perpetual hell, in which their greatest fears and insecurities take them over, making them loose all their best traits.

You know back when I was younger I had hard time understanding Adrian and his motives thinking he just wanted more power. But looking back he was a very complex and could be a lawful neutral character. I hope one day he and Echo make a return and live together happily or just find a way to achieve their goals without using extreme methods.

Such a cool character man I still need to figure out what happened to him after season 3. They could have at least showed us if he was alive and well in season 4. Also Jaden should have dueled him!! Him beating aster makes him very bad ass!!

Huh now that I think of it what if Adrien was the true successor of the Light of Destruction and after getting rid of Exodia he got his hands on Lightsworns and was the first to introduce Synchro Summoning with Echo as his Empress of Destruction. Ok a GX fanfic needs to be made with this plotline as season 5

So this is a little funny. Just today was the end of the 200th YCS Yu-Gi-Oh! tournament. The voice actor for Pegasus (Darren Dunstan) was there doing a signing. He is also listed as the English voice actor for Adrian. Everyone had toons, relinquished, and resticts to sign so I thought I would do something fun. In addition to signing my Toon cards I had him sign my Cloudian Eye Of The Typhoon.When I went up to have him sign it I asked if he could sign it as Adrian. The funny thing was other people brought Exodia and Cloudian cards as well for him to sign as Adrian. I kid you not he looked at me and said, "I know every site says this was me that did this character but for the life of me I can't remember anything related to him at all. I remember the duel as Pegasus against Crowler but I can't remember playing Adrian." He was super cool about it and we laughed that he's kinda forgettable but I just thought it was funny that he couldn't remember this character.

I know I'm replying to an old comment and you might not see this, but I thought I'd reply anyway in case you do or anyone else does. I don't know this for certain so some of the following is speculation but I think probably makes sense. I'm sure you know a lot of sites can be edited by anyone like the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wiki and a lot of characters have been attributed to the wrong actors over the years. Bruno/Vizor/Antinomy really played by Justin Badger and previously incorrectly attributed to Jason Griffith, Axel Brodie really played by Duane Cooper and previously incorrectly attributed to Marc Thompson, Jim Cook really played by Erik Singer and previously incorrectly attributed to Tom Wayland, Blair Flannigan really played by Liza Kaplan and previously incorrectly attributed to Lisa Ortiz etc. There's a bunch of other examples I can give but those are just a few. All of the first five YGO dubs have at least 5-10 mystery cast members and I'd bet there's still a bunch of characters incorrectly attributed that were really played by mystery cast members, a bunch of whom are likely aliases as no real results come up for them online aside from generic stuff. Adrian Gecko is a really bizarre one because even the official Yu-Gi-Oh! website lists Darren Dunstan as his actor. It's not like it's a Wiki or site that can edited by anyone where a random fan lists an actor as a character and then every other site lists the same actor afterwards. It's the official website. Surely they'd know all the information they post is accurate? Frankly, IMO Adrian sounds nothing like Darren and more recent information (the very small bits) over the years has made me believe even more that Adrian wasn't played by him. Like you said, Darren doesn't remember Adrian at all. That might not sound like the craziest thing in the world. Actors don't remember every role. HOWEVER, Darren does remember Andre a character he played in a few episodes of 5D's. He has listed him in at least one bio of his that I've seen. I like Andre a lot but he's a much more minor character compared to Adrian. If Darren remembered Adrian too then surely he'd list Adrian on his credits too if he lists a smaller part like Andre? That's a big red flag IMO, especially on top of what you said. Also, and here's another potentially big thing. This is the big speculation on my part but I think is very plausible. As we know Adrian is introduced at the very start of S3 alongside other characters and there were three new additions to the cast list at the start of S3. Duane Cooper, Erik Singer and "Corey Scott". Viper was played by Sean Schemmel who obviously was already on the cast list, so not a new cast addition there. Jesse was played by Clay Adams who had already played at least a couple of minor characters in S2 and was also on the cast list for that season, so again not a new cast addition. In the last few years, as I referenced earlier, Duane Cooper and Erik Singer were confirmed to have played Axel and Jim respectively and not the actors previously incorrectly attributed with them. That leaves one mystery cast member added to the cast list at the start of S3. I wonder who they could've played... Like I've said, it's big speculation but honestly I think all signs point to this mystery "Corey Scott" having played Adrian. He's the only mystery cast member left on the early GX Season 3 cast list, and Darren doesn't remember playing him yet remembers playing more minor characters like Andre. Like I said, it's big speculation and I can't say for certain but it looks very likely "Corey Scott", or whoever he is as it's likely an alias, is the real Adrian actor. He's the only early GX S3 cast member unaccounted for and Darren doesn't remember playing Adrian. There's lots of signs there. On that note, I'm not sure if Darren was credited later in GX S3 for the Pegasus episodes BUT he certainly wasn't at the start of the season when Adrian, Axel, Jim etc were introduced and Corey, Duane and Erik were new additions to the cast list. Another potential red flag, since even though there's some instances where actors voiced characters and weren't credited (Rick Adamson as Lawton in 5D's as an example) it's very rare. So yeah, I'd be very wary of believing Darren played Adrian despite what the official site says. There's a lot of possible clues like I've outlined that say otherwise. I'm trying to find out who "Corey Scott" really is and if he can confirm what YGO roles he played.

And to think that they added what could've a bunch of Cloudians to Yugioh Duel Links in a box. I'm pretty sure that if Adrian is added to Duel Links at this point then his ace monster will be Exodius and he will have a skill to add the Exodia pieces to his deck.

I just realized through this this character is basically the Yugioh version of dr. Doom a genius a physical specimen who is convinced that what he's doing is for the betterment of all of humanity to make suffering and pain non-existent when he rules I wonder if this was intentional or not even write down to him except for the woman he loves to gain greater power

TGS Anime I just thought of this but have you ever considered doing manga character profiles because they can be VERY different

His first name is the same as Marinette's friend from miraculous ladybug.

You know this franchise values older brothers being good older brothers when Amon, previously thinking about killing his baby brother, decides to do whatever he can to help him upon him grabbing his finger in joy.

All I can think of is how he and Kiritsugu from fate shared the same sort of ideal but the holy grail showed that to accomplish this world, everyone would have to die.

Was not a fan of Adrian. Even with his background revealed I thought he wasn't a very redeemable character, but hey for an antagonist that isn't an awful trait. Remember lads, Never tribute your waifu.

I wish we could have known what happened to Adrian. It was confirmed that the people who got "killed" were actually sent to another dimension tho Adrian never came back. I really wish the creators did something to wrap up Adrian's story instead of ditching him after his loss in season 3.

In GX there were too many “rich” duelist .. Adrian Chazz Aster and half the enemies that showed up for one duel more or less the original yugioh it was just kaiba and pegasus
