I think that's one of the biggest design flaws of this game, such an important mechanic should have been made clear.

I was playing this last night, and all the sudden I see evolution under my list of commands, and wow what a neat surprise!

the first one i saw that i could evolve was Ryu-Kishin, and then, in the same duel Black Magician was able to evolve too, that was amazing.

i remember i have evolved root water by mistake when i was a kid 4:54 (:

I missed this game. It was wierd at the first time to play it. But it quite bit fun enough...

It's odd that evolutions don't show the new monster's model at the end. Penguin Soldier is an interesting one since it fuses with its pre-evolved form to make Flying Penguin :P Great vid! Thanks for making this and the fusions vid 😄

i'm really sorry... i was really stressed it took me 5 hours editing this video and i was busy with alot of other things, well then the petit angel should be at level 5 or more to evolve, again i'm sorry for the little mistake

You need to tell us where to evolve these creatures in case we are doing a versus round and need to be in the right area. I know what fields are in the video, but I'm going back to previous levels to ensure other monsters are leveled up for both fusion and evolution.

It's beautiful video.

Sad part is while some of these can be replaced with extra pieces, some of them don't; so your magician is gone for good

Duuuude Mon Larvas was my boy, my first evolution, after lots and lots of playthroughs i did, i had 5 UBE but Mon Larvas stayed on my selected monsters

I was wondering if your able to evolve in the story mode because I just found the game in my house and my petit moth is level 3 but I can't evolve it. Is it a certain stage I have to complete to unlock evolution or do I need my petit moth level 4 like yours?

When monsters fuse or evolve, they become entirely new figures, right? Which means it's a good idea to do some battling first and evolve/fuse later to erase damage taken? Edit: Confirmed. You showcased that aspect with Larvas.

So as a kid I grinded this game, and the strategy guide of the game says that Mahicans Valkyria is in the game and is an evolution of La Moon but I always got the Dark Witch just like in this video. Do you know anything about this???

Magician's Valkeria isn't in the game unfortunately. It was a brand new card when this game came out (if i'm not mistaken)

It's not a remake but there is a recently made mod for it after all these years that rebalances the game, makes it harder and adds some of the unused monsters into the game. It's called Libra, give it a look if you're interested.

Wow. So Wind attribute is the only one without evolutions...

be nice for a ps2 emulation or whatever if someone could hack so you could face oppoents at higher lvls in the next playthrough loved this game, I would of done 5 rounds of it if the oppenents lved up or evolved

FYI most of the levels listed here are wrong. Judge them by the in-video levels displayed.

+Marcelo Vagner Press ( ⬛ Square ) on your controller, it will pop up on the sides how much is the map's attribute you should try most of the maps to find what you want, like: if you want 30 or 40 or 50 or 60 dark, try the dark maps, if you want thunder search on thunder maps squares, any other attributes just try find a map of the attribute you want and the monster should be placed on the needed amout of the attribute and should be reached to the needed level no matter if it's more than needed then you can evolve it,

@@Someone-lg6di I actually managed to get it done recently. I checked out Ishizu's stage Crimson Valley has a Wood land form on the default spawn side. I kid you not, i set up Hercules Beetle with the SPA to boost Wood. I did the Trent evolution, and I also did 2 perfectly ultimates, and 3 great moths. The AP was off balance but it was worth it. I wish i recorded it. That Wood x Water setup can drive someone crazy with all the evolutions and the annoying requirements

I lie lie the 2 monsters that caught my eyes was red eyes dragon turning into red eyes black metal dragon and along with dark magion turning into magion of black chaos

in the haniwa evolution you must be lv 5 or more no lv 3...

I remember Manga ryu-ran actually being weaker than normal ryu-ran at least attack wise even at higher levels. I might be remembering wrong though since I was a kid

Funny that on my play through when I was like 6 years old my brother couldn’t beat Pegasus and I used Ryu-Ran and evolved him to Manga Ryu-Ran to basically destroy all his Capsule Monsters

I recommend use thunder symbol, cos thunder monsters attack are high af, plus its also increase dark monster attack

Haniwa LV 4 cannot evol. ITS say min LV 5. And map earth 40. I play in map earth 22. ITS weird since i try evol in shadi / Odion map same as you did.

Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth is kinda useless in actual Yugioh considering how hard it is to freaken summon. In this game though, combined with a Wood Symbol it's very OP.
