It existed even in the first YTP I ever saw (The King & His Computer), but it was far more common to sample more than one character's voice for it (like when the king in the aforementioned YTP says "I'm going to buy a computer", you can hear the voices of Link, Impa and Gwonam being sampled) which is pretty much unheard of these days.

The abundance of Spadinner, the awkward audio trimming, the amateur WMM-style editing... this is such an authentic early YTP, and I'm here for it. The best part's absolutely 1:41. If someone showed me this without any context, I would’ve believed it was from 2009. It’s perfect. It’s not just the random spadinner jokes that make this like the classic era ytps. There’s the random jump cuts, repetitive jokes, and random music. Oh and it makes absolutely no sense.

I feel as though the only 2 things that were missing was that evil laugh, and ofc the “wtf!” Explosion. Other than that spot on!
