All Ys final boss fights take place on some altar floating above something, and it's usually either a circle or a rectangle in shape. Plus, as you said, in classic Ys fashion a one-on-one battle when the first phase is done (Falcom knows that's the way it's always been, so even with a team, Adol has to go old school for the sake of the Ys spirit). Just like Ys Seven did. :D Great run Omega. I wish I had the money to get a Vita and play the hell out of this (and no I won't be getting one for Christmas sadly). Despite the great translation, there were a few hiccups in the text (a verb or preposition missing here and there, but rarely; the text saying one instance of Galva while the name is Galba), but I can honestly say this is the definitive version of Ys IV.

Flegan777 Ys I final battle took place on top of the Tower of Darm (if I recall). And I don't think it's floating tho.... :v And here the final battle takes place on the mouth of a volcano..... :v

Femby Turangan The tower's top is high above ground, and the floor breaks during the final fight to make it harder to hit the final boss, therefore being high above the ground in that sense. And I wasn't talking about the volcano.

I think the knowledge that Eldeel wanted to bestow Adol was how to build airplanes? He wanted to give 'shortcuts' so Adol can travel easily around the world and he talked about human fly through skies several times, but he said it's not the time yet, maybe because Adol refused the knowledge.. Just a speculation, though :)

It's implied that he wanted to, essentially, give him knowledge on every geological mystery in the world and where to find them. Adol preferred the adventure over the actually knowledge and refused.

@@miguelcondadoolivar5149 idk... eldeel did say "unexplored eastern lands" and the ys map has northern africa and europe and maybe the carribeans but not asia. so maybe asia and australia?

awesome gameplay as always, thanks for the vids Omega. And seriously Ihad the same thought when i finished the game. WTF? This is LOTR now? hahaha, but this game is good and I just wanted for it to be more difficult. I just hope that the next game in the franchise maintain the same Seven/Celceta gameplay but with Adol solo or different characters as the campaign leader like Origins. Now we just need to wait for Ys VIII or the remake of V

Out of curiosity, what weapons are you using? They look like the ones you get from that sidequest near the end of the game, but I thought you could only get one per playthrough.

Started the game last 2013, I didn't finish the game back then coz I'll get sad. But YS 8 is coming in 2 months so ta-da, finally after 4 yrs..

I know I'm playing through this great game now, and I find myself just grinding for hours listening to all the different songs. Ys is one of those games where grinding is enjoyable.

My guess is that its Eldeel, because with the Mask+The Records he could see past, present and future. I finished the game some mins ago and thats what i thought.

great game, but the ending left so much unanswer question, but with the return of the lady mayor in sequel is a sign that celceta is still okay

Xeroix Those games were created by other companies or video game developers.... This one replaced the two of them as this one is mostly done by Falcom (I guess...)
