I really like how they named the episode "Defeating an upper moon" even if by accident cause the meaning behind it changes because of the episode, it goes from "Yeah!!! We beat an upper moon" to "This is what you need to do to beat an upper moon, sacrifice."

I like how they all ask "Where's Uzui??" Then 2 seconds later the episode answers for them

I had exactly the same reaction when I saw inoske get stabbed by gyotaro and uzui with no arm, this is the beauty of this anime, as it gets unpredictable at any moment, I already knew when then killed rengoku after showing how powerful he was this anime is going to be on top league same as attack on titan

thank god i watched the anime after all the episodes got released imagine watching this and then have to wait a whole week, couldn't be me

I watched this episode yesterday. I paused screamed and my heart was beating so fast. I couldn't breathe i couldn't press the play button and watch further it was a hell of a ride...and it was my second anime im really getting into this anime world!! This is insane can't wait for next seasons.

This is one thing I LOVE about this anime. They definitely push the limits when it comes to stereotypical "plot armor." Rengoku's death was the LAST thing I would've expected from Mugen train - even when he was losing I thought somehow he might make it out alive, but he actually died (and didn't come back). Here I'm thinking there's no way they're gonna lose this fight because they have a Hashira AND all three of them are fighting together. Next thing I know Inosuke is stabbed with poison through the heart and the Hashira is poisoned AND lost a HAND!?!?!?! As someone who's not a manga reader, I seriously wouldn't be surprised if one of them actually died from those wounds, or could never fight again. Demon Slayer doesn't seem to care about plot armor. Everyone is vulnerable.

Yeah this show's amazing in that regard. Rengoku's death basically prepared us for the worst. It raised the stakes. We all knew the Upper Ranks were no joke, and hoped nobody else would die, but NOPE. This episode threw us for a loop 😂

I honestly really like when animes have a good amount of unexpected events which makes them unpredictable at any point in the story, and id consider all of this seasons events were necessary, but imo i think it was a little too chaotic, the rythm at which the show started was pretty slow and calm and all of a sudden in like 5 episodes we got 20 (exageration) unexpected twists, it felt like way too much, even more when you realise that none of the 4 died (5 with nezuko) it seems a little conflicting to show an important character get stabbed in the heart and 2 episodes after that he somehow managed to avoid the hit on his heart when previously he was barely able to keep up the pace with Uma (who obviously was slower than her brother), imo they overmade it at times, but the ending was perfect, i loved how much Tanjiro´s attitude changed during the last fight, desperately looking for the best ways to fight back in such a disadvantageous situation. As a final note, and talking about general aspects about the show, i find the Demons are way too overpowered, and even tho that makes it interesting and challenging i dont think it makes much sense how much of a difference there is between a Pillar and Upper Moons, demons are inmortal unless certain circumstances we all know but for them to actually be so much stronger forces the author to overpower the main characters to a level where they wont be seen as mortals/human beings anymore, atleast not at the same extent of any other Hunter or even Pillar, which imo makes it a bit harder for the spectators to feel involved with the characters at that point since it loses the disadvantages they were highlighting all throughout the story
