    As the embodiment of the Hero, every guy worth it's salt identifies with Anakin. That's why that scene is so damn powerfull, it creates a deep contradiction between the character and the spectator, without breaking immersion. It forces the audience to confront the situation without any chance of shrug it off as "pfff, thats totally unrealistic", as it happens so often these days in movies.

    Or she played one of the final parts in securing Anakin's turn to the dark side. If she stayed Ashoka would've been knighted. In turn, Anakin would've been a Master on the Jedi Council for training her. He then would have the respect he wanted for so long and the knowledge only Masters had access to to help save his wife....Yep let that sink in. I don't blame Ashoka of course for her decision to leave. I wish Anakin would've left with her, but boi does it out some things in perspective.

    Fun Fact: According to the Battlefront (original) games and some other legends sources, the reason the clones keep firing at Aayla Secura (the blue woman on the jungle planet) after she is already dead, wasn't because of malice. Her clones liked her a lot, and wanted to make sure she didn't suffer. So they kept firing to make sure she died quickly Edit: Typo

    This scene seems so good to me since it shows you first the deaths of several characters that you did not even know and still feel a lot of pain. Especially of the 4 Jedi that we saw die first. Obviously by Clone Wars you will have become fond of Ki Adi, Plo or Ayla (except Stass Allie who neither know her nor in her house). But the great merit it has for the soundtrack and the context. And then there are currently several movies where they kill a character who saw him throughout the movie and still not feel anything, while we saw the death of some characters that we did not even know at the time and feel our hearts break.

  • @MimMdance
    @MimMdance2 жыл бұрын

    I'll never forget watching the moment at the cinema for the first time when that haunting choir starts and we see the clones turn on Ki Adi Mundi and execute him. It gave me such chills and sadness! The following deaths were sad but it was the combination of the treason starting the music starting, the shot of the soldier's feet as they load their guns, combined with the cold snowy weather. It made me feel the same cold inside of me. I was entranced in a state of shock and tragedy for the rest of the film and since that point it was the most powerful cinema viewing experience of my life.
