Edit to add: you didn’t mention that the mother character in her show, was based off a fan of hers who had fibromyalgia and other chronic conditions. The mother character is portrayed to be lying and making it all up for attention in the show. This is because she felt that her fan was “making it up to get Colleen’s attention.” So not only is she a groomer, racist, and overall shit person, she’s also ableist! I didn’t know anything about the controversy or even Colleen besides seeing her as a kid and cringing at the Miranda stuff. Until she made the decision to post. 5:11 it sucks, but I also agree with Colleen’s argument. It is fair to criticize the public for jumping on the “cancellation” bandwagon before getting the full story of why a creator is getting shunned. Which is why it is a shame that the one creator pointing this out is one of the few people who’s shunning is totally justified.

Honestly if she didn't intentionally harm a child and this was actually something like unintentionally lashing out at a fan this would be a big mood.

As a person who never knew Colleen Ballinger existed until her "apology" video, I agree she made the situation worse for her by not keeping her mouth shut.
