Logan Orlikoski most of his criticism for Jontron, who literally claimed that black people are an inferior race and that the American gene pool is being diluted by the way, seemed to be that he ‘wasn’t prepared to properly legitimise his opinions for the debate’. The funny part is how well this aged. No one talks about how well quinton’s videos are or anything about how good fantano’s videos are, but are now talking about their stupid political tweets and takes. No one talks about jontron’s politics and takes as much as the former two, because he doesn’t want to get tangled up in it anymore. Smart move if you ask me. Contrast that with his section on Quinton where he criticizes not only HOW he presents his opinions but also the opinions themselves. ex "what's wrong with humanizing someone who is human" is a direct criticism of Quinton's argument. If he was truly being unbiased then he would have said something like "you can't trust xy that JonTron said because z". It's fake centrism. He is very clearly taking a side in this argument.

PragerU is basically a KZread channel funded by a bunch of rich dudes and it's main goal is to spread conservative points of view on younger people who are the main demographic of KZread. Because of all the money they can make themselves look proffesional, host famous people and agressively advertise it to everyone, which is why selected videos on their channel have millions of views. It'd be fine, but some of their videos are factually wrong and are almost always made to fit the narrative that they are trying to push. Also the fact that they represent themselves as Prager University while trying to explain complex topics in 5 minutes is kinda laughable to me.

I like how Quinton and Fantano make a fool of themselves, but when Johntron does it it's not just people pointing them out but the media as well, with outrageously misleading titles and the well known buzzwords like racist and nazi. Oh wait that happened to Pewdiepie as well, nice media objectivity

This video was okay and all but I noticed you refused to point out that Ben Shapiro's wife is, in fact, a doctor. This was a gross miscalculation and it made what could've been a fine or even good video into an offensive and anti-semitic one. Personally I am disappointed in you, as a subscriber since your second video I had hopped you were a good up-and-comer that would provide entertainment for years to come but now I see this horror and everything has crashed. I was inspired of your effort in animation and later your continued effort in editing skills, amazed at the quality of someone this low in subs. I made the mistake of then shouting you out on various platforms and i had helped in the corruption of your mind due to the fame, for that I am ashamed. I have personally had to send a great deal of emails to many of the people I know had watched your content due to my recommendation , I can only hope for their forgiveness. If you see this I can only hope that you will self reflect on your actions and correct yourself whenever addressing another member of the Jewish community. When Mr. Enter called out Tom for baselessly calling him a pedophile, Tom went into Mr. Enter's comments and made passive aggressive comments, including "sue me then i will win" or something to that effect. Of course, he would later delete most of these comments.... Tom does exactly what he criticizes Quinton of doing. At least Quinton didn't call someone a pedophile.

I feel as though you're misrepresenting Quintin a little bit. There was a little more context to that 'rant' and was made; he was reviewing a movie with clear anti-trump messaging. Which he clearly has a political bias on, so that minute was him recognizing this bias to show how he couldn't be non-partisan in the review. Also, I wouldn't say Ben Shapiro was being 'humanized' so much as him being normalised. Which I'm sorta against seeing as he has some pretty extreme conservative views.

I should have stated "however" instead of "also" I agree, Ben's a perfectly alright guy, i just think its important to recognise his arguably quite extreme views. So in regards to him being on meme review, my complaint would come from the normalisation of Bens views, and not the humanisation of Ben himself. However i recognise he didnt actually include any of his political views in his colab, it did on some level as it advertised his show, the daily wire.

As someone who is a fan of one of the creators he mentioned, he really was impartial about it. His criticism of Quinton Reviews, for example, was much more restrained than I thought it would be.

This video is somewhat weird. While I agree with a lot of what Tom says, I somehow come to the opposite conclusion on all these subjects. First, the segment about Quinton. I do not understand why this argument pops up again and again : that bringing up political context is unnecessary. I can't think of something like an apolitical situation, even when discussing children's media. How is clarifying a political belief ever "unnecessary"? I just think Tom means he doesn't like Quinton's opinion and wishes he remained silent about it. And I don't think Tom does a good job of proving that the rant is irrelevant in the context of the video, he just says it and hopes we won't watch the original. Tom even speeds up the rant so we can't understand it. Second, about theneedledrop. Again, Tom doesn't elaborate on why @L12746 (or something) isn't "a pussy". Tom just disagrees with Fantano stating his opinion, without actually disproving them. Also, if you want to know how he feels about his interview with Milliondollarextreme, you can watch his response video to Fader. It's pretty interesting... The Ben Shapiro thing is trickier... honestly, I don't think this comment section is the right place to discuss deplatforming, children's KZread, and networks of validation, but you can guess how I feel about him. What I can talk about is whether Shapiro is "a transphobe, and kind of racist". Why didn't Tom do any research? Is it too hard? It's definitely not "unnecessary" in the context of the segment. Tom just says "i don't know" which i find pretty weak. If you want to criticize Quinton for his thoughts on Ben Shapiro (a political pondant), I think whether or not you agree with Ben Shapiro IS relevant. And then Jontron's segment. I agree that Jon wasn't prepared. I agree that he said some dumb, dumb shit. But the conclusion that Tom arrives at is: "if Jontron had stated his racist beliefs more clearly, I wouldn't have a problem with it." (not an actual quote if it's not clear enough). Tom doesn't at aaaaaall have a problem with Jon's stupid arguments, Tom just wishes that Jon would have "won" the debate. But hey, if Tom also thinks that we the white race is in danger or whatever, I can't do anything about that. THE PROBLEM I have with this video is that Tom doesn't express his political views, even though it makes his video harder to follow, less logical, and arguably worse. But his opinions are still there. There is no apolitical situation. The politics are just sous-entendu, but not absent. I spent way too long organising my thoughts on this. Do comment if you dis/agree with anything I talked about in this.

This is a great response. Even when you disagree with these people stating their opinions, you are still meant to do research on the opposing person. You can find their opinions all over the internet that's where all these people got their platforms. Ben Shapiro's political opinion was a really easy thing to google especially given that is the point of his content. How do you have the time to make a nearly 20 minute video and not use Google? He talks on VERY sensitive issues in a careless fashion. It's on par with all the condescending comments made towards him. Even if his approach is refined and he pretends to be speaking maturly, he is still saying abrasive/disgusting things and does all this while pretending he's informing people. Misinformation is far worse. Jon is shitty at debating, and expressed his opinions horribly. That being said I don’t care, and he’s not racist.

I'm not sure Anthony Fantano should have been in this video, I think he has messed up but, I think he's just passionate and when he is he can get carried away. He also keeps his political views off of his main channel. I wouldn't put him in the same group as quinton, jontron, casey and tana.

Yeah Melon is fine on youtube. Main channel is really just review focused, 2nd channel does get some politics but it's really the "cringing with" where he does a bit deeper, you can easily ignore that. He is a bit more active on twitter, still I don't have much issue with it, although I wish he didn't retweet "socialist" youtubers.

I actually disagree with the points made about TND in this video, you claim that him having ad hominem attacks against his fans and individuals makes him seem like a child. However, the examples cited have little to do with political opinion and are "off the cuff" response to criticism. You can believe that he responds to criticism poorly, but most everyone does, particularly from people who are perceives to be of lower status than oneself.

God this video was difficult to get through. I was waiting for some good points to be made, but apparently talking about politics even if it’s relevant to a video in question counts as “pushing your political views on someone.” Also, heads up buddy: just because you’ve spoken to someone in the past doesn’t mean they owe you an explanation for not talking to you anymore. If they think your behaviour is cancerous, it’s totally justified that they quit communication cold turkey. Quinton wasn’t some childhood friend of yours-he liked your content, then thought you were an asshole, so then he cut ties. Complaining about that just makes you look sour. And calling someone out for normalizing certain figures-how could someone remotely complain about this? If you suddenly had Richard Spencer’s memes in your videos, then I’d be pretty confused and would justifiably not be to happy about it. Shapiro thinks that being trans is a disease and that being gay is a sin, so it makes sense that progressives wouldn't want him to be normalized in any way. Maybe Quinton shouldn’t have said that “humanizing him” is wrong (you could argue that it’s poor word choice) but the main idea is still valid. No disrespect, but this entire video comes off as being made by an 18 year old who hasn’t experienced enough of the world to be criticizing it in any meaningful way.

Yup, just like Quinton said, this guy's a kid who still doesn't know how politics affect people, and that political actions do have either negative or positive consequences on others, major consequences. I mean this guy thinks that politics and real life consequences are entirely different things, it's ridiculous. Everything we do is political. It's also clear to me that Tom is the kinda person that thinks they're entirely rational, neutral and centrist when they obviously have certian political bias, just like everyone else does.

I really do not understand why people are going at Fantano as of recently. He’s probably the most innocent person in this entire video. Like you said, he keeps all his political commentary to the side unless it’s relevant to the topic, or if he makes fun of it. He never shuts down his fans and the examples you showed of him “doing so” are so evidently meant to be humorous. One of them (the tweet) you threw in without showing the previous exchange or giving context to said exchange. Just because you didn’t find his attempt at doing so funny doesn’t make it not a joke. I didn’t find it funny either, but at least I see where he was coming from. I agree, people who shut down others without proper consideration of points or general discussion are irritating to deal with, especially if you like their content. But you didn’t do much different. Seems pretty hypocritical.

Had to stop watching Fantano's channel myself because his political opinions started seeping more and more into his "let's argue" series. I felt bad initially because I knew he was just sharing his views, and I knew it was simply because it annoyed me because I found them retarded. It felt like I was watching a Shaun King KZread channel. Then I started seeing his tweets. Again, his opinions, but if you want a music reviewer to berate people online over open borders and white supremacy then he's your guy.

Turkey Tom's use of the n-word comedically throughout this video is genius. Good job Tom keep it up.
