There's no way to tell A.I. from original if the A.I. it tweaked with human touch. Yes it still qualifies as a "Helping hand" but think of it like this, people are doing things like making A.I. Instagram girls now who look 100% realistic and then selling off their A.I. nudes and making thousands of dollars. There is a human responding and messaging folks, but the images are not real. Same for blogs, you can make 100 blogs using A.I. and just tweak them in far less time it takes to create 100 blogs from scratch. This A.I. Stuff as far as KZread banning is only going to impact the absolute lazy who use A.I. and tweak nothing or try to use A.I. to dupe people on purposes. It may impact the comedy content creators though as sometimes they use A.I. For joke vids where the voices are celebs and such A.I. generate but the jokes and content is 100% them writing it. There's a video game channel dedicated to Trump, Obama and Biden voices and images playing Video games but there is a human behind the jokes and conversations. Everyone knows it's not Former and current presidents although it sounds like them lol so do they have to worry? Maybe.

I spoke with KZread about this because I use AI to narrate my channel. They said I didn't need to check the box if that's all I'm doing, so long as I'm not trying to impersonate anyone.

KZread, already experienced Elsagate, to them AI and its troubles is the new Elsagate. Google, despite being KZread's parent company, never had Elsagate type of controversy. Now Google, Etsy, Artstation, DeviantArt, Pinterest, are considered dead websites despite using "latest gen of AI". Heck, people are filtering their search to look up results dating BEFORE 2023.

I think you make a good point right at the end about repeative content. At the start when AI voices on videos came out I would watch since the voice I was hearing was only used with 1 maybe 2 creators. I.e. I assocaited it with them and their content. But now, go through shorts and the same voice keeps being heard on a variety of different creators videos (normally low quality and/or scammy videos). So many videos from different creators using that voice just feel like copycat material. Due to how much poor content I have experience with that AI voice, I now by default skip videos as soon as I hear it. Hence like you were mentioning, it isn't the good creators which are causing issues, it is the bad actors. Take my example there with the AI voices. Bad actors have now made it that I associated certain AI voices only with bad actor content, irrespective if a good creator is using it.

If I hear AI voiceover in a video, I skip it immediately. I'm not interested in whatever they are trying to say if they are not interested in telling it personally. I would appreciate a thousand times more somebody REAL with an accent as thick as the fog on a Danish morning than some AI trash.

I’m glad they are handling it this way. Honestly, I had planned on posting on my videos that my images are AI generated and not real. Because I would rather be tagged or shut down by KZread than to have someone get hurt or hurt someone because of what they saw on my channel. (October 30, 1938 radio broadcast) I mean, surely it wouldn’t be that extreme, but I still wouldn’t want to take the chance. Also, I’d rather have it this way than for AI to be banned. Right?

I check the box yes. You should have no problem. The thing that YT does not like is deception and being misleading.

Thanks for this video; it was really reassuring. I've been concerned about how the new regulations would impact KZread channels that use AI, especially since my content focuses on AI image generation with Stable Diffusion. I'm going to mark my content as ai altered from now on just to be safe. Your explanation helped clear up a lot of the uncertainty surrounding these changes. Greatly appreciate the insights!

I am somewhat cynical. I think KZread is going to use this to go after people that disagree with them ideologically or who post genuine information that contradicts a narrative KZread supports. The problem with saying "bad actors" is that it becomes a label that you can just slap on anyone you don't like.

I find it funny how KZread made rules for AI, but still refuses to fix the Content ID system. 🤣

Well it seems that some are saying on KZread you can go to some of these really new AI and say for instance just put a sentence and it will make whatever you want. I don't really like that anyway I don't even know how they work. Last time I tried to get a black and white cat running I got a six legged cat with nine tails.

Hey, I'm a bit confused, please can you give me an answer to this: Creator need to disclose if creator is using: - Voice cloning someone else's voice to use it for voiceover. Okay, in my case - I use cloning my own voice because of the long script. It speeds up my time, it's a cool feature, the software is at such a high level that it sounds completely like my real voice. The statement says it's not allowed to use someone else's voiceover, but if I use mine I don't need to admit it? Thanks a lot.

Good info, thank you. I make music and use "AI" to alter my own singing voice -- to change it from male to female, alter dynamics, and tune it (yes, software can do all that, now). The software does not impersonate any real person. In fact, I've tuned and evolved my personal model to create an essentially fictitious singer whose voice is consistent from song to song and unique to my music, a vocaloid of sorts. And the basis for her voice... is my own. So, if the rule is "You don't have to label an AI generated voice, as long as it is not impersonating a real person," then I'm fine. But if the rule is "You have to label all AI music, and singing=music," then I need to label it. I don't know the answer, and I guess we'll see.

Thank you for another informative video. While I see the benefit in dealing with abusers of AI, and while I believe this particular iteration of this rule won't affect most of us, this is KZread we're talking about. What they design as a scalpel inevitably becomes a sword, and I, for one, am greatly concerned about what this will evolve into. Specifically, if their system for detecting what content is generated by AI is as competent as their system for detecting stolen content, I fear many of us will have brand new reasons to randomly wake up to demonetization. Before they start creating more systems that automatically detect ANYthing that could lead to the loss of our income overnight, they NEED to fix the Content ID system. Why they continue to ignore us on this is beyond me.

To whoever reads this, persist with your channel. Keep pushing forward. It will improve.

Any more, AI is just a fact of life. There will always be those who mis-use it for nefarious purposes. But the rest of us can use various AI tools to assist us with areas where we lack the skill set to do it ourselves. I also think that the future holds channels that rely wholly on AI graphics. It might be fun to have a Sci-Fi channel that could be animated in a way that an individual or small team could never achieve. Amateur script writers could see their vision come to life on the screen. So many possibilities for creatives!

Would be better if creators could tell to KZread what in the video is specifically made with use of AI or how AI is used instead of having to choose whether AI is used at all or not. For instance, voice cloning with voice of a fictious character. It's usually the only AI-element used in a video, the voice model is based on someone who doesn't exist instead of a celebrity or politician who would like to report it, and a HUMAN has spoken the line that is disguised with the chosen voice model. And even if TTS is used, the text is certainly written by a HUMAN. With something this specific KZread creators wouldn't have to fear of mislabeling and shadow banning

I've made a few pics yeah, no harm. Made em to represent a scene from a script. I've not made anything that could harm anyone's image. Also, I ran my audio thru an AI clean up tool... Any clean up tool alters audio somehow such as noise removal, so no harm there.

I like playing with AI. Thanks to AI I learned about here a song I have had written for years(just cause it was a fun idea) FINALLY has music and is an actual song! I love music but I am first and foremost a visual artist and never found(or felt) like I had time and means to truly develop my musical ability. I'm not one that would be happy playing an instrument I would have to(and briefly looked to satisfy my curiosity) actually learn musical theory I personally don't find the point in playing an instrument if I cannot also create music. I am now encouraged to write songs I've had ideas for! AI can provide music to give them life. I have no issue disclosing the source of the instrumentals--it doesn't change the fact the lyrics are mine. Who knows maybe I could actually get notice of my songs so that actual humans would be willing to pay for licensing so they can cover it. There are plenty of well off song-writers that get by on all the artists that choose to give their sound to the song. A song or image I just generate from a prompt having fun, I have no delusion that I own it. I think its fun to just have an idea and see if I can make a good enough prompt to get what I want. It's kind of a creative exercise. The better detailed you can make a prompt, learning what terms work(sometimes having to go learn about a detail to add) It may not be true creation, but it's no less some exercise for your brain learning to get the most out of a new tool.

The problem I have with 'the three bullet points' is the fact of, is this specifically for AI? Because you could argue a disaster film, for instance, is generating a 'realistic-looking scene that didn't actually occur'. Do we now have to be wary of that when it hasn't been a problem for years? I think it really needs some work and specification.

I agree, many images are edited in Photoshop or equivalent and a filter is applied, well that green duotone effect never appears in real life but it is still a realistic scene. Most of my youtube tutorials create items that ultimately never existed in real life.

Nowhere is it said that this is specifically targeting AI content, nor that intent determines whether it should be marked or not. Obviously that's the purpose, but that isn't what KZread have stated with these guidelines. It simply says if your video depicts a realistic looking scene that didn't occur then you should mark it for 'altered content'. The fact that, with the way KZread has put it, it COULD be argued that showing a scene from a film (just for example) would count as 'altered content' is a problem. They need to get more specific. Same with the music.

It will probably be emphasised in the terms and conditions of uploading AI content. (Which I admit to not having read them.) KZread aren’t going to start banning hundreds of thousands of videos just for uploading AI content. I think the understanding is quite clear. If you upload AI content which can be misleading to real-life events, you must site it as being AI. And AI music will be perfectly fine to upload. So many creators are panicking for nothing. I really don’t see this as being complicated or an issue. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It greatly depends on your perspective, but I believe the vast majority of people will not care. If it sounds or looks good, they will simply like it. It's similar to when you hear a song for the first time: if you instantly like it, do you really try to find out the name of the singer or what they look like? Realistically, you don't. Everyone may love a song but know very little about the artist. The game has changed; clinging to the past is silly because it simply will not make a difference. It's better to adapt and get used to the new way of doing things.

I make original long form generative ambient music. You have to pick a label so that’s the one I thought fit the best. It is not a shuffled playlist of other people’s music on repeat. I do not copy anyone or even copy and paste anything. I start from a blank document each time. I have made a lot of them: hundreds. I don’t click through some sort of website. I’ve been interviewed about it in depth. I got a bogus copyright claim from a German label. I’ve been doing this for years. I’m starting to think I end up as one of these “edge cases” or at least constantly fighting a machine as an artist. I don’t take anything from anyone, but this is starting to look like circumstances that mean I lose, the end, tough luck.

It's still a bit confusing when i comes to TTS. So what happens if i for example clone my own voice? and use it for a couple of videos (let's say when i dont have time to physically record a voiceover) even though i have been using my real voice in other videos..?

Hi, Been scripting videos for a launch next month. I use AI for two things. "Chat, what are your thoughts on this script..." I then take those often really good suggestions. And rewrite or edit my draft. As one person answering technical questions about gaming and game dev. Did i forget to add a counter argument? Could what im saying be explained better? Chat does a great job of showing me my blind spots. Then I ask for references from experts and the source. Because chat does a better job with technical answers than Google does. I still have questions that KZread hasn't satisfactorily answered because I'm in the filmmaking niche and sometimes use visual effects. As I read it, this disclosure isn't targeted at AI alone, KZread has been vague enough that the disclosure would also apply to more traditionally made visual effects as well, so long as it's realistic. The fiction vs reality part is one I've had a hard time understanding as I understand the rules are a little more flexible for content that is clearly fiction, but not necessarily, if you read the rules with a very literal interpretation.

Visual effects is very much "Generates a realistic-looking scene that didn’t actually occur" which is one of the things you must disclose the use of "altered content" for...but they won't actually say one way or the other.

Mabe this is purly to subject fake news and storys to more needed scrutiny. I watched this video when you uploaded it, after a few minutes. Great video and thank you. But my experience after a few days it is terrible with the options "yes" or "no" AI. I have few channels. There is one where I use my voice, it is called RufioGamer. I love the game Guild Wars 2 so I dedicated my channel to it and I'm good at it because I know everything about the game. But people do not like my voice. Because English is not my primary language. I have played games for over 25 years. My first games are Age of Empires, Diablo, Commandos, Max Payne, etc. Then I made this channel RufioGamerPlays. It's just me playing everything. The latest game that people love and I too is Helldivers 2. The game is outstanding 10/10. I made a lot of shorts and a few videos. One of the videos is called "Loadout for Automatons". I made that video with AI voice, using eleven labs. I spend a lot of time making that video. The moment I clicked "YES" it was made using AI. That is the moment when the video freezes in time. Now videos where there is no voice and I didn't click "yes" or "no", receiving more views than this video. Before that people loved it. A lot of subs, likes, and comments for a small channel like this. It's like the video is not on KZread at all. My point is, when you upload a video, do not click "YES" or "NO" until you are forced to do it.

Question. Is the multi-launguage tracks avallible yet? If it is I really want to know how to use it!

Occasionally ill use AI for vague video ideas so I dont think ill be effected by this, but nice job informing everyone guy!

Just make two categories, #1 Account For Humans By Humans and Account Category #2 IA Is Used On This Account. If they (#1 Type) get caught using AI, they get Channel Converted (Irreversibly) to #2 Type Channel Then every video gets an AI Banner Notice. Best Option is to have and manage two channels, one #1 and one #2 type channels.

this is important info for me , on account of I’ve been making a series of videos I want to post using Mid-journey, 11 labs & fake avatars to make famous people say preposterous things, but it’s completely obvious it’s AI all the way around and I state at the beginning and end. any thoughts? will I encounter problems you think? not intending too monetize for now.

Is there a way how I can bulk-set my videos on "not using altered content", like you know you do this with other settings? I would have to set it up individually for each of my 700 videos. 🙃

As an individual who uses Ai to make content, I mention that for Ai created pictures, I mention what I have posted was done with Ai. I have heard there are many people that claim what they are posting is what they did themselves and not with Ai. To me that dishonesty is annoying I would hope youtube could still have their Ai detection system let others know if a video was done with Ai but not penalize the individual because there are times I may not have mentioned something is Ai and I would not want to be among those that get penalized for making a mistake. I do my best to disclose that the majority of what I post on my youtube channel is Ai related and I hope others will continue to do that as well when they use Ai, not just when it looks very realistic.

I don't think that my videos would really need the disclosure since the hybrid animals are obviously not real since you can't breed a chicken and an elephant, but they are mostly photorealistic.

So Rob if using AI tools like Invideo AI or pictory AI.... Should we click yes it's AI generated? For like travel videos?

I do "would you rather" shorts and videos, vith the Adam voice from ElevenLabs, should I label the video as AI content? I didn't fully understand

Oh and also does this mean that our older uploads we should choose the option or only from now on

I have a AI video generator for making videos in another channel (not this one) but once YT and Google starts “managing “ videos with AI content, I give up using that AI. Because I don’t want YT ban and demonetize my channel after paying so much effort in it, although I am sure that my channel is for educational purpose and it really shares good knowledge ❤

Hi Vidiq I got a question and I desperately needs an answer , it about Ai generated content. I make videos on KZread and use I Ai generated images , not for all the video but for some parts of it , for example in the video if I'm talking about someone riding a bike, I use an Ai generated image of someone on his bike , is this type of AI generated images must be disclosed in the upload part or is it ok , as long as it not misleading ? Anyone who can answers I will thank you from the bottom of my heart .

So in other words, if it's an AI voice from Google Translate then it's okay but if it's an AI voice from Fake You or ElevenLab, you are required. I like how this isn't mandatory like I don't want to go through hundreds of my video just to update them due to the fact you can't do this via bulk update or when you update multiple videos in one click. If it's mandatory, then it just portrayed that KZread is becoming a toxic Filipino strict father. As if removing the dislike button wasn't bad enough.

It good for content creators, now those who work hard would have a good view, than employing laziness by using a.i to generate script, voice over and footage, it is better used as assistance and not a sole creator of content.

Ia abslutely mandatory. By making a mistake or misunderstanding the channel is at risk of a community strike. After 3 of those bye bye forever for life. Anyone who uses any AI, even minimal, either in the thumbnail or in the video should now put YES, until KZread knows perfectly which content should be flagged as AI

I was using AI to write my scripts in my first few videos.. Went well but people knew they were AI generated so I now use it sparingly.. Just need to push past my target of 100 videos on my channel (currently at 46)
