YouTube Frustration - Where are my YouTube email notification settings?

Since the KZread format and system has and continues to change, one feature I missed the most was buried in settings. In the past, you could choose your email notifications the minute you hit the Subscribe button. It seems KZread thought that was too easy...so after some frustrating moments, I found where YT buried those settings....

    i don't like the new design at all. but have you figured out that when you're on your main page, on the left hand side at the bottom of your subscriptions is "manage subscriptions" which takes you to that screen. Now what I can't figure out is where to check to see who might have replied to a comment of mine? I can't find that AT ALL.
