The thing that worked best for me was giving my videos a small boost on Famester Social. This caused them to spread everywhere literally, bringing more and more organic views day after day.

Do you have an idea how frequently is too frequent to post on the community tab? Like, on Twitter you can share 5 posts per hour or 20 per day or so and each of those could work fine. Is there a recommended limit per day after which it becomes too much? 1 per day? 3 per day?

This might be something we test. Or try to study. Personally, I think one time a day makes sense at max. But that’s just me taking the viewer perspective. More than that feels like fatiguing the viewer. But that’s not data sorry!

Then why would it be overwhelming for them, if the algorithm will decide who to see what? If this is the case, then I wonder after how many posts per day does the algorithm get saturated?

Potentially exactly the reason to do it might be why views drop: your community post is reaching a much wider audience, and typically one that might not be interested in your content but interacted with your post/poll. They then get recommended more of your stuff, but they're uninterested and those little things like impressions to click-through rate widens, which makes the YT algo react to those changes. I mean that's purely speculation on my part but with a channel as large as yours, the potential audience is naturally wider as well. For small channels the reach is likely only a good thing.

So far I've only tried the poll feature a couple of times. So, I'll have to keep testing what works for my channel on generative AI. But I like that I can connect with viewers directly for ideas and feedback. Thanks for the video and tips.

Great vid as usual, I love doing community posts. Polls are especially effective when they're image based I noticed. Folks love visuals after all!

I just noticed the COMMUNITY section yesterday. We had this Pre-Google. When they gave it only to channels with more then 10K or 100K subs it sucked. I was very angry that when I got it back to find out that ALL OF MY (and other Tubers) PREVIOUS POSTS WERE DELETED!! This was the only place for Tubers to engage you without commenting, since KZread got rid of the Inbox feature. Is anyone old enough to remember the KZread inbox? Well, I'll likely won't use it, and most creators don't allow anyone to engage them. They just use to advertise plushies.

I enjoy the community tab its great to have that contact with my viewers. Also looking forward to the quiz option when it becomes available in the UK

I feel betrayed now because I had to grind so hard to get the community posts and then KZread just gives it to everyone.. eh, at least I had fun doing it 😁

Hmmm, I've got 173 subscribers and have had Community Posts for some time. After 12 posts and one poll I have 5 total people like and one comment on them. ONE! I ran a poll with three options and received 2 responses, one was my daughter. Ill keep going with them but they are not stellar in terms of getting responses. At least yet.

I tried multiple times to get my community post. I simply did;;t have it among the options even though I had gone through the checklist. I watched several videos to try to figure it out. I had to switch to a "Brand Channel" to get the feature. It appeared within 5 minutes after that.

Luckly I alredy unlocked the community post features before this ,but well, good news I guess v:

A question I have about community posts to reach a broader audience is if I need to add hashtags like I do with Instagram for example.

I wouldn’t recommend that. But I do recommend using key words naturally. Helping the recommendation system know what the content is about, will help. But usually the post that I see reach, the farthest simply are the most engaging. Not necessarily rich with keywords.

I tried doing a few polls on my food/garden channel, but I didn't have as much engagement as my subscriber base. not even 1%. IDK what else to do differently.

there is a few problems with youtube which is why i dont post often: youtube will probably make uploading videos an expert feature where you need to verify your address and send each picture of each room in every neighbors house to get to the second step of verification where you need to input all your personal information + ones that you cant get easily and also have to pay 69 million dollars to unlock expert features. they will also have: liking videos, sharing videos, disliking videos, subscribing, etc. all videos also become age restricted. the above text contains what i think youtube will become in the upcoming years, which is crazy, like people with only computers like us have to suffer the pain of not even being able to make money to buy a phone so that we can actually do anything as monetization makes us verify our id, youtube should be more friendly to people, not just lock everything they find is being used too much, the dislike button was pressed alot so youtube removed the dislike count, the like button was pressed alot too so it will be removed by youtube, alot of videos have been uploaded so youtube will also remove that, alot of comments also happened so youtube will remove that, etc. atleast make email verification or something jeez youtube.
