I came from a community where Atheism is practically unheard of. I mean, you HAD to belong to something! Those times when I had to fill forms asking for personal information, I was always tempted to tick the "others" box and specify "none" when they asked for my religion. I hid my lack of faith from people around me for years, fearing negative repercussions. But you know what? one day I stumbled on this youtube community full of you guys, and I was so relieved! Thank you!

And with that, great podcast by the way, I am done, I have now sat through all of TTA podcast videos! Every single one! Of course I'll still watch the new ones as they come out each week, but having been through them all I must give you a big thanks, Seth! Its amazing that you've kept this up all these years and I hope you keep going for many more! The sound of your voice has become an almost daily thing for me, and it helps me get through the day. Keep thinking rationally!

I a believer that has watched darkmatter2525 for the past 3 years and i enjoy his perspective. His videos have helped open my mind to question things i never thought of before. I appreciate how you helped reveal some of his story and how much he tried to learn the Christian viewpoint. I think it gives more credibility to his work. Another great video Seth.

This is pretty great! I love the callers who seem to be somewhat isolated and getting the message through KZread... this is fantastic. Also, some of the commenters already are talking about that. This video just went up today and I bet there will be thousands like me, who will view it over the next few months and comment back as to how they are finding or exploring Atheism through KZread. Thanks to all four of the participants... I follow you all on YT.

I'm a total atheist but to be honest I'm not really smart enough to argue with Christians or Muslims. I just know the conclusion I arrived at based on my own experience. I am so glad people like this are able to illustrate the truth with such conviction!

A hugely inspiring podcast TTA, thank you. These 3 play vital roles: Darkmatter2525's humour helps to undermine the authority religion has given itself especially when religion hasn't a shred of evidence to back itself up. Evid3nc3 uses just that to prove that monotheism & religion are man-made inventions based on earlier myths. Devastating for religion. And BionicDance brings us all back down to earth again with her clarity & sound logic. All 3 are a lifeline to many.

I was born in 1947 and lost my faith (or came to reason) at age 15. At that time there was no internet, there were no atheist on TV or radio (Madalyn Murry O'Hara was about it), there were no books by Richard Dawkins, no Sam Harris, no Christopher Hitchens. it was as if I was the only non-believer in the world. It was tough back then

@amy2x Christianity: In the begginning there was this Magical being, who had the power to create everything from nothing by some sort of magical spell. He then felt bad about his creation, and killed them all. Later he again felt disappointed and sacrificed himself (but undid the sacrifice three days later), which still didn't really help. Now, 2000 years later, the support for him has grown to the lowest level ever, and he wonders what to do next. Makes perfect sense. We all await his next move

@judoyodan I've been doing this casually for the last 2 years. Usually I just use a pen or a sharpie to mark out the word god. Sometimes I scratch out the words in god and just leave We Trust. Occasionally I add my own words and write something like "In Each Other" with We Trust or write "Yourself" after marking out In God We. No matter how you do it, it's worth leaving a message for anyone who even bothers to look at the backside of their dollar bills.

@TheThinkingAtheist A big upside to Interviewing TJ, aka TheAmazingAtheist, would be the possible inclusion of Howard Bloom. I think hearing the three of you together would be fascinating, especially with the view call-ins.

I do not think you need a god to feel or to be thankful for this experience and this life. I do not believe in god, but I am definitely thankful and joyfull to be here. No one can take that feeling, of being a full participant in the experience, away from you, for any reason and certainly not because you do not believe in a god.

Internet killed the video star. “...25 or 50 cents...” Those were the days. I prefer not to give a flying firetruck with the “iretr” removed. “I just let my subscribers handle it.” Good approach. “I can’t even spell my own name.” With a username like that, I don’t blame you. “Prove that God doesn’t exist.” He came to me in a dream and told me. So there.

@TheThinkingAtheist, for two reasons, an emphatic NO! First, it is only illegal if you render the currency unfit for circulation as was originally intended. People write on currency all the time. Second, what about the first ten words on the First Amendment? You know, the part the reads "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion..." It's about time someone brought this to the attention of the SCOTUS. This is the argument we need.

@d3st88 Yeah, you got me there. In all honesty, my personal life is pretty lonely because I'm surrounded by fundamentalist Christians. I have run-ins with them fairly frequently because I make jewelry out of fossils and when they ask about it, I HAVE to mention millions of years and then I get into a debate I never wanted. My mother went religiously insane when I came out as an atheist. She tried to have me committed to a mental institution for being "demon-possessed." Yes, it sucks here, too.

@TheThinkingAtheist Your podcast has nothing to do with this. I know the US ain't perfect, but what pisses me off is how a lot of people there claim the US to be 'OMG THE BEST EV4RRR' and the president to be 'the president of the world'. I love no country, because i have no country. Growing up and moving around never gave me this. I'm sad somehow, but then again i'm glad to have Earth as my country.
