Out of all these areas you mention here, which area would you suggest for younger couple in mid 30’s and up ? I want to avoid seniors

Very informative. You mentioned that you don't have an old basement. Are old basements a red flag when buying a home in Appleton?

My home is 20 years old, previously I lived in a 100 plus year old home. grading may have to be addressed on an older basement

My husband and I are looking into a move from Texas to Wisconsin. We were transplants from Washington State and Vancouver Canada but now we are ready, after 10 years in DFW area, to move. Appleton has come up a lot! We do not need jobs as we are both retired, however we have an 8 year old son we had adopted when he was an infant so our situation is unique. Our incomes are fixed and we have modest means. Schools are important to us for him. We would be willing to rent at first but don't know where to start. We will be making a short trip in November just to see if we are completely crazy. If we were to buy it would be 200.00 or below. Small house is fine. Any suggestions? I am so enjoying your channel!!

I was checking appleton rentals as well I was in shock to find out some part of neighborhood in Appleton has no sidewalks like for example if you trying to walk to woodman. Like what is that? why aren't sidewalks? people gotta walk on the street. Do you know why there aren't side walk in some neighborhood? This is very strange to me.

How are rentals in Appleton? Toss up between Green Bay and Appleton. I think Job market is stronger in the Fox Valley. Plus a better mall too! I'm a runner who enjoys the outdoors! Thanks!!!

My husband got a job offer ( we make the decision this week) and we currently live in Northern Michigan and do not know much about Appleton. We are looking to relocate our family and want more information between Green Bay and Appleton. We will be going out there if we do go that route and looking to rent first so we could sell our home here. Then we will purchase once we live in the area first- any recommendations?

Jody, I prefer Appleton area over Green Bay, but to be fair I have only lived in Appleton & Grand Chute. Let me know if you need rental sources. Lots of rental opportunities especially in Harrison S Appleton. Appleton, Neenah, Kimberly have great schools. If you want a larger town Green Bay offers that. You could consider Depere too (near Green Bay) Appleton has alot of music festivals, great farmers markets, lots of recreational opportunities with Bubolz Nature Preserve, Plamann Park. If you want a smaller town feel Little Chute, Kimberly or Neenah Green Bay has the Suamico Zoo, Bay Beach amusement park, Lambeau & Botanical gardens (beautiful at Christmas) @@jodydutcher2472

@@wheretolivewisconsin thank you for all the feedback! We will have a answer by Thursday and then it’s crunch time! Schools and areas are priority. How can I keep in contact with you so if we decided, we will need housing by November but we will be planning a trip to look first!
