Could you guys have a content screen on start up with rough timeline of each topic covered so I can find the topic I want without scanning through the video? But many thanks for this great video! Great job!

    Hello, I have ordered many things from you. Excellent always the experience and quality. I have a question on the cwb for the TG6. I have a mini grey and white card for UW use. I thought gray but you both are talking about using white sand as the go to thing. Is the white card, sand, or grey card better to achieve best Custom WB. Thanks for reply.

  • @backscatteruw

    @backscatteruw

    3 жыл бұрын

    The real answer is that any 'neutral' color will work just fine. A gray or white card is totally fine, and won't produce a meaningful difference in color between capturing a white balance on the sand. Depending on ambient light conditions and how available a patch of sand may be, a card might actually be more favorable in practical terms. Great question, and thanks for supporting Backscatter!

    You advocate shooting in aperture mode, but what about the underwater modes on the TG-6. Do you suggest skipping them and just going with aperture mode and other settings?

    We cover this extensively in our Best Underwater Settings series, be sure to check that out! Quick summary is that we are able to do everything we can do in the UW modes while in A mode with even more control for better results.

    Hi. Great Tutorial. Learned so much. Very basic query here. I got my TG6 recently and set the time when I was doing the initial set up. I haven't used the camera for three months and am wondering if the camera has reverted to default settings, as the Time stamp is wrong. However, the Date stamp is correct. When I go into the menu and select the 'spanner' icon, the 'Settings' option cannot be selected. The manual states that the time can be changed at any time. Also, when I go to the Date and Time stamp options, there is no option to amend an incorrect Time stamp. Could you give me some advice please?

    Your best bet will be to perform a full reset of the camera and then re-enter the date and time that way.

    I'm wondering if I can somehow take the same kind of RAW format series shots as in Focus BKT-mode, but with the focus locked with my TG-6

  • @backscatteruw

    @backscatteruw

    So just shooting in RAW but with focus locked? No problem. Or do you also mean with bracketing as well? Not sure about that one.

  • @Histogramas
    @Histogramas3 жыл бұрын

    macro lenses, diopters etc, will even NOT be nice. Because even with a diopter you will not be able to be more distant then what you have with the tg itself. so you will be focusing INSIDE the diopter :)

    You need to set the Exposure Compensation before you start recording. We recommend setting it to -0.7 for increased contrast and better color saturation.

    You would need something to actually output the stream. This would be something like an ATEM Mini or a Camlink. These types of things are only at the fringes of our underwater specialty, and typical livestream products aren't necessarily something that we would be able to supply you with (though we are happy to chat custom underwater solutions).
