USCIS is spying on your social media, and it's probably hurting your immigration case! A recent article revealed that USCIS uses fake accounts and other methods to gather information on you, put it in your file, and use it to make a decision on your case! So in this video I explain some of the things USCIS is looking for when they spy on your social media, and some of the steps you can take to make sure your social media activity doesn't hurt your immigration case!

Would it be best or a good idea to just delete your social media accounts?
I am not a lawyer, so take it with a grain of salt as my own opinion: I did a FOIA request on my A-File and it was interesting that was all in there.

@@ibrohimismailov2993 You will find all information USCIS found about you during processing and also notes CBP did while processing your I-94. You also get the sheets showing the results of your security check. And comments USCIS did while processing and adjudicating.

What if you just don’t have a FB/IG/X account? I was involved in a nasty domestic situation back in 2017 where FB was used to stalk and harass me, so I haven’t used any of those platforms since. I didn’t delete my accounts, but they have not been updated in years. Would I be better off just deleting them?
But USCIS has to know that people brag or lie online for clout. I think it would be unfair if someone were to be denied a green card because they lied or exaggerated for clicks and likes.

What is no big deal for some might be a big deal for USCIS. You have to be careful because your case might depend on an agent who might be offended by all the social media lies and exaggerations. They might attribute that to your character as a whole.

So while protecting yourself against immigration invading your privacy, would it be considered a red flag if your spouse is secretive with his phone, does not even mention you on his social media accounts or identity as married, and doesn't even accept his new wife as a friend once she realizes he has these accounts.
